Went to test drive a car. Was told could not drive it since it had been sold, then someone else takes it out for a test drive while I'm chatting. Now suddenly it's not sold and there are multiple interested parties so if I want the car I need to close on it today (still no test drive allowed). Ok I'm interested, wont sign anything until I drive it but sure run the trade value on my car. Best they would offer is 15% below KBB. Swore they looked at the market and thats in. Showed them recent sales 10% above KBB wouldn't budge. Not sure what the deal was but lots of pressure and misleading. I guess just typical car dealership behavior but I'm out, I guess those other interested parties can get ripped off. read more

They were great, just finalized my LS purchase M Bartkowiak sold me the car. He was very nice, professional and not pushy at all along with delivering the car to my front door. I will tell you the finance rates are currently high, I went through a credit union and got 5.99% while northtown was above 10% and thats with good credit. Very disappointed with northtown. I co-signed with my daughter on a vehicle from Northtown Lexus. We paid an additional fee to have the vehicle registered in MA through their contracted 3rd party registration company. 2 months later, she is still driving around with Northtown dealer plates from NY. Weeks of calls and all we get is "We can refund your money ". No offer to help, no demand placed on 3rd party to facilitate movement on the registration just "we can give you a refund and send you paperwork to do it yourself. today I called and after 2 months asked to speak with the manager. I was denied the request and forwarded to the same person that offered a refund. I am getting ready to upgrade my 2021 Lexus... What a shame. read more

These folks really know how to make Lexus owners feel well taken care of. I just went in to get batteries for my SO's key fobs, and those shiny disks were provided and installed free of charge. They have a classy waiting room with wide screen TV, internet access, and bevs/snacks, in addition to games for apt-to-be-bored kids. A concierge is there to meet you at the service department, directing you personally to where you need to be, and a free hand car wash is included when you have your vehicle serviced there. If you own a Lexus, I recommend you stop here for service and repairs, including collision. The courtesy and attention will make you a customer for life. read more

I attempted to contact the dealership a total of 6 times: 2 emails to two different people (Gabe and Andrea), and two phone calls (none of which were returned). We considered purchasing the GX460, but with no returned calls or emails--it sounds like the dealership is not interested in making sales. Rethinking the brand and have focused on the BMWX5 and Mercedes GLE350, as those dealerships have been responsive. Their ethics stop with the motto: ABC, Always Be Closin'. If you have a problem, tough. From a 56 year old, keep walking. This actual experience is written specifically about a late model used car purchase at Northtown Lexus in January 2018. The dealership is part of the Northtown auto group. In my case, they sold me a car which I was unable to drive much due to an undisclosed problem observed on day 1. By day 2, I asked to return the car in lieu of buying another one from them; even if I took some portion of the loss. They took a couple of shots of fixing the car without success, and then they walked away with the cash. I sent video evidence of the vehicle still having the problem. I was about 3+ weeks into this problem and working with 3rd parties due to their lack of good faith and capability. Not exactly the definition of buying a roll ready auto. Even after what I thought was the fix, my daughter almost had an accident because the professional fix wasn't that at all. It really all ties back to the "Certified" car Northtown sold. You learn more about people and businesses when things go wrong, not when they go well. In my opinion, it went from can't successfully fix the problem to deny the problem, and apparently suppressing my review on Yelp. Also note the only times they responded to my inquiries was when I wrote the NYS state administration and the BBB. Otherwise, their tactic is to ignore. In other words, it is equal to their after sale support, genuinely misguided. Mr. Dipasquale is the GM and Mr. Mumma is the "Used" car manager. If you ignore sage advice and do business with Northtown Lexus or any Northtown franchise, ask them about their rainy day approach. In my case, the after sale results were below a reasonable expectation. There are always two sides in any dispute. In my case, I could have been a customer for life. My mom bought a 2020 Lexus during the height of covid. She drove a toyota before and loved it. We looked all around the country for the car we wanted because we initially thought the one we liked at Northtown was too expensive. After searching for months we ultimately settled on the one at Northtown. We were accommodated well by the people there right up until we got into the car to learn about it. The woman who was showing us everything was very short (in temper), but it was hot out and she was showing us by looking in the open window. So we understood. As we were leaving, the gas light came on. So, the girl took it to the gas station "down the road" - we were roaming around the dealership for 30 minutes (granted, it is on a busy road with stop and go traffic because of all the stop lights). So our experience was probably a 3.5-4 out of 5. We put a lot of miles on our cars so we have it in the shop a lot for maintenance. Well, the service manager is a great guy, but the team needs a little bit more knowledge, either that or they're just plain lazy. We had issues with the steering on our car and we had it in three times, and they said they fixed it all three times, but they finally fixed it on the fourth try. They also didn't successfully put on a tire! They need to change their entire service staff. My mother never wants to buy another Lexus from here again (or another lexus in general, she doesn't like hers) because of how poorly trained the service team is. Overall 2/5 stars. read more

Just read another review here and it was so unfair that I felt I had to comment. I have had my Lexus serviced here for 6 years and have always been satisfied and impressed by the service and efficiency. I almost always arrange for a loaner car and only once was it not ready and waiting for me. They were very apologetic and offered to get me a rental car (complimentary) but since I had some time to spare they took my car immediately and finished with it in 30 minutes. When I needed tires recently, my service man offered me several grades and made recommendations as to their suitability - no hard sell. And the prices were rt in line with other prices I had researched. Okay, so an oil change will cost you more than the local lube joint... But, really, you're sitting in a lovely clean comfortable sitting area, eating a complimentary breakfast... And you get a free car wash too! Come on, isn't that worth a few extra bucks? Very disappointed in the detailing service. Had an appointment at 6:30 PM and was told car would not be ready that night. I was given a lender car so that was not too bad. I told them I would need the car by 8:30 the next morning and they said they could not promise that. By 3 PM I caledl and they said the car was ready. It was $108.00 for exterior detail but I assumed that would include a basic detail. Wrong assumption. I got in the car and there is dust all over my dashboard. I check the floor and it has not been vacuumed. I called when I got home and the young woman I spoke to could have cared less. She said they do not touch the interior. I have leased 2 relatively high-end vehicles from this dealership and made and paid my 72 consecutive payments over the 2 sets of each 3 year lease. Service is very good to excellent and generally throughout my relationship it has been fine. Getting ready to lease my 3rd identical GS model I spoke with the dealership who kindly went through a dealership search to find me a vehicle in the color that I specified, however it was not available at the dealership nor the surrounding dealers. The problem centers around the "hard pull" of my credit report prior to even going to the dealership to complete a credit application and to make matters worse the DEALERSHIP performed a 2nd hard pull of my credit report on the same day. I know Lexus Financial would pull one but never envisioned my credit, which I am desperately trying to improve after my spouses $ 200k in medical expenses. So this is a big deal to me. So I have 2 major concerns that in this day and age that credit safeguards are so important and to perform a hard pull of my credit report prior to authorizing it combined with the dealership, again performing a hard pull of my credit report combined with Lexus Financial (expected) performing a hard pull has had a drastic impact in my credit score while all this time trying to heal it from trying to pay outrageous medical bills. So my advice to a prospective buyer, even one who has had a positive relationship up to this point, be careful when dealing with this dealership. They refuse to pull back the unauthorized 1st unauthorized pull of my credit report from the credit reporting agencies and have had to endure the cost and suffer the damages the improper accessing of my credit information has cause me. My story is not to demean the dealership but rather inform the consumer that they may not abide by rules as set forth under FICO and the attorneys come with a cost. So protect yourself when dealing with them or any other dealership to investigate what their credit retrieval policies are and whether it it their policy to obtain credit reports without the proper authorization as was done in my case. I will suffer with these damages for quite some time. read more

Starting to re-evaluate the car and the service. I have to say that I love the look of the Lexus cars, but I work from home and rarely drive - I have put around 15,000 miles on the car in almost 4 years but yet it has more "maintnenance" work than other car I have owned. And now I have an awful sound when I turn right and was going in for service today - Arrived to a mess - 2/3 bays had a car right inside the door but no other cars ahead. Middle had a car slightly inside, so no other cars could pull in. I went to middle behind another person waiting - 5 minutes goes by, multiple employees can see that there are two cars waiting. Someone moves the car in the middle bay just enough to get one more behind it and I follow, so Im half in and half out. Its a nice day, Windows are down and Im waiting - 10 more minutes go by and multiple employees have seen that Im waiting and so is another car but during the entire time, not one person acklowedges either of us. Bad timing today, but I had a work project that pop up and I needed to have it completed by 4 so I couldnt wait any longer and decided I would bring the car home and Ill have it looked at later, but if its the dealer, I havent decided. With this experience and the money I have had to put into a CPO car, it has me thinking I may look elsewhere. read more
