After multiple frustrating experiences, I feel obligated to warn others about the service department at this dealership. The first issue occurred when I brought my car in for a leaking tire. I was told the repair would take a couple of hours and that I'd be contacted when it was complete. I later received a call pushing the timeline back even further. However, when I returned two hours before that updated estimate, my car was already finished and sitting in the lot. Staff had no explanation and only confirmed after checking with staff that it had been done for quite some time without anyone notifying me. To make matters more confusing, there was also internal miscommunication about the repair itself. At one point, someone questioned who had approved a new tire as if it were a "custom part," which only added to the lack of clarity and confidence in their process. More recently, I brought my car in due to concerning brake noises. I was initially told there was no availability for two weeks. After explaining that I rely on my car for work and didn't feel safe driving it, they suddenly found space earlier. I was told I would receive an update around 5 PM after dropping it off at 11am. Once again, I never heard from anyone and had to call myself. I then had to rush to pick up a loaner vehicle, only to be told that my car hadn't even been looked at because they chose to prioritize a larger project. Had I not followed up, I would have had no way to get to work the next day. I am now left driving a loaner with no clear timeline for when my vehicle will even be inspected. Consistent lack of communication, poor organization, and disregard for customers' time make this an unreliable place for service. I strongly recommend going elsewhere. Update: They didn't fix what was wrong with my vehicle and fixed another aspect of my car. The noise I raised concern for came back TWO hours after picking up my vehicle. Before i picked up my car I had to call them to question when was the estimate time i'd receive my car back. When I brought it back I was asked to take it on a test drive with the tech where he proceeded to say yea I wasn't able to replicate that noise but it's really concerning... I have time to look at it today. (this was a Friday). Come Tuesday i haven't heard anything from them and decided to call ONCE AGAIN for any update on my car and the girl proceeded to tell me parts were ordered. I questioned why I have to continue to call them for updates on my car and what was the reason I was unaware my car needed certain parts or what repair is being made. She had no answer other than my advisor should have called and she's not in on Monday's. I recently went to Towne Hyundai in Orchard Park for an oil and filter change for my car, and I had a great experience. The service was straightforward and I was charged $108.74. While my car was being worked on, I waited in their customer lounge, which was very comfortable and well-equipped with free WiFi and plenty of charging outlets, which allowed me to get some work done on my laptop. Also has a coffee machine, and a water dispenser etc. They also sent me a streaming link so I could actually watch my car being serviced in real time. I purchased a 2023 Sonata in late Dec. 2025. I had a problem with the car pulling to the left. I brought it into the dealer to fix the issue In Jan.. I was told it had a defective tire on the front, so they rotated the tires and put that tire on the rear. When I got home I saw the video from the tech that said the tires were beginning to feather on the outside, and the tech recommended a wheel alignment. Wish I had seen the video when I was at the dealership. Service manager said it didn't need an alignment at this time. Now the detective tire is on the rear, and the steering wheel still shakes. When I rotate the tires that defective tire will be on the front again. 50 mile round trip to the dealer to bring it in for nothing. SORRY I bought it at this dealership. SORRY I bought this car. Just returned home from the dealership for the first complimentary oil change for a new Santa Fe. This is our second new car purchase there, the first was a Palisade. I'll lead in with the positive part; our salesman, Jon, is top notch, great guy who was a pleasure to deal with on both vehicles, no pressure and everything a sales guy should be. The sales department is great and this should no way reflect on them. Now the negatives. The service department is a nightmare. It is like a morgue, no personality and no smiles. Contacting them has always been difficult, constantly leaving a message and never a return call. Back to today's incident. Since we travel nearly an hour to get to the dealership from our home, we usually schedule things on a day off. We have learned that service always takes twice as long a they say so we always ask for their courtesy shuttle to take us to a restaurant or movie to pass the time, which is about three miles away. This time they didn't have one available so they gave us a loaner to drive ourselves since we were going to be there for five plus hours. We were also informed that they were down a tech so that it would take longer than originally scheduled. They asked us to top off the tank upon our return. Since we only went three miles, we didn't feel it necessary. They told us it would cost us $10 if they had to do it for us. We returned the vehicle and parked it outside with their other loaners. They asked us to go back out and pull it in to inspect it. Normal protocol, but lazy that they couldn't get it themselves. It was brought in and parked on a ramp where we were told the tank went down 1/8 of a tank of fuel after going only six miles round trip. We asked to have them park it on level ground so that there was an accurate gas reading. Upon being on level ground, it was only down 1/16 of a tank. Remember, this is only six miles, folks. I thought it was suspicious since a Tucson gets 25 MPG city. At $2.99 for six miles, the math comes out to 60 cents. In my anger, I went and filled the tank, and surprise surprise, it took $5.01 at 1.6 gallons meaning it hadn't been topped off to begin with. Don't fall for this, folks. Park on level ground BEFORE going up the ramp, because it took me getting to the gas station for the needle to go up again. In discussing with the girl in the parking lot, she informed me that the $10 would be charged to my card on file because it is a cost to the dealership. My suggestion to the dealership on their loaner policy is to give a minimum mileage and if the customer goes over, then they are responsible. Not to mention, we didn't ask for a loaner, we just wanted the courtesy shuttle to take us down the road to a movie, where this would have been all avoided from the get-go. So, folks, this is how Towne treats their customers who have bought two vehicles in four years. Again, we love the sales department. They get a grade of A, service gets an F. read more

After CONFIRMING my COMPLIMENTARY oil change and tire rotation Towne Hyndai changed their confirmation and charged me $90. Then they threatened to fail inspection unless i replaced the (perfectly fine) wipers for another $60. Guess they don't care about keeping customers because they just lost one and i will bad mouth them to everyone i know. I'll never take my car back there or purchase another car from them. When I returned for servicing my vehicle there was an issue with my free services I was told I'd get but he immediately came out and rectified it all. Today we will be going to look at and test drive our fourth Hyundai, third from this dealer. I do a lot of research on vehicles before we test drive or buy. My last vehicle purchased here was a 2016 Hyundai Tucson sport. I bought it used and it had just come onto the lot the night before. We negotiated a fair price except we would have liked new tires as the old ones were worn. We received $600 off instead. We previously bought our 2012 Hyundai Elantra touring there as well. Recently had the first problem ever with my terrific middle-aged great Tucson and brought it to Towne Hyundai for the first time. I've been frustrated with other Hyundai service departments over the years even for maintenance services. So I went to Towne even though it was further than some others because of the good reviews. I am beyond pleased with the whole service experience from start to finish. Everyone I worked with was extremely pleasant, patient and helpful and they really went the extra mile to figure out and resolve the problem. A great find. I will be back for sure. read more

Came in looking for a difficult-to-find used vehicle with driver assist features around $20,000. The sales guy was unfamiliar with the driver assist options available on the used cars in the lot, so he walked me around to look at what was written on each car. He was courteous and answered me questions and proposed I look at a new Kona, which I had not thought of before. The Kona comes close to what I want, but I will probably be able to find a used car that comes closer. He did take my information, so perhaps I will hear from him if something comes in. He did reach back to contact me after my visit. I took off one star for not being that familiar with the used car inventory (I know it is really hard to remember all the options on an ever-changing inventory...but maybe some places do that so I need to save the extra star to give to them.) read more

Terrible customer service. The salesmen used the bait and switch pitch. I had my loan approved and was driving to the dealer. I called him to let them know I was on my way. He said sorry just sold it and tried to get me into a different vehicle. Plus the service manager was very difficult to work with. I was out there to inspect the vehicle before I bought it. He gave my a big hard time to get it on a lift for 10 minutes. He said this request is unusual and no one ever looks under a vehicle before they buy it. To all, don't even take a look at these guys. Best dealership around! I just leased my second Hyundai - a Tucson. I was very impressed with my first one and the service department at Towne so didn't hesitate when it came time for a new vehicle to return to Hyundai. I worked with Sam Osmond in sales and he was great! He showed me all my options, answered all questions , no pressure and never felt rushed. He made the whole experience great- no stress! Your Sunday ad lists a sales price along with the lease price for various products. When I came in prepared to pay the sales price advertised plus sales tax in cash I was informed that the ad price was only a "financed" price and the cash price would be higher than advertised due to the interest payment required if financed. Unsure if this is an error when I discussed this with sales man. If not, isn't the ad misleading? I Bought a Santa Fe from them in July 2019 and no fault of theirs I had some problems with the car. each time I brought it in, the service department (especially Mike) went above and beyond to make the repairs seamless and get me a rental and explain what happened. Between Bill Kuhn and Steve Davis they worked diligently to find me a different car I would be happier with. I must say that I had high demands and was somewhat borderline annoying with all the questions and demands and tearful calls and yet in the end Steve contacted ME when a car came in he thought I'd like. So, that tells me that Towne (especially Bill and Steve) care about their customers even after the sale. Steve could have just waited for me to contact him when I saw a car online but he didn't. Drove 45 min for oil change appointment early AM, my appointment time was bumped for someone else. Well can I get it changed? We'll try sometime today! I left to find someone who wanted my business. Car has 15000 mi on it the new car detail was never done. The license plate bolts look like they were taken off a used car. (heavy rust) The car gets a super kiss once or twice a week should be no rust. The right rear tire is always loosing air but the dealer said not their problem. I need to pay for a tire service. We have been going through many struggles recently and were not the ideal clients. My Hyundai Sonata was in need of a great amount of work (even though we never put any money into the car in seven years). I contacted Robert Dickey, Sales Person, and was immediately impressed. Not only was he consistently respectful and treated me as though I were his only customer, he was personable and went above and beyond. I didn't end up getting another car, in the end we decided it was best to get the old one fixed. When I am looking in another year or so, I will definitely call on Mr. Dickey. You have a real gem there! Please recognize him as so very often times truly exceptional staff do not receive the appreciation that they truly deserve. Towne Hyundai is the epitome of the stereotype for bad car sales people. They sold me a Flex with bad brakes (covered under the used car warranty). They told me to get them fixed and they would reimburse me for the repairs and once I got it done, they decided they didn't want to pay. They are playing the old game of delay, delay, delay - oh wait, now we don't have to pay you or fix your car. I have filed a complaint with the AG's office. Find a better place with better people if you need to buy a car. These people don't care about you - just their money. read more
