So far I am extremely happy with my experience at Dave Smith Ford. I wandered into the first dealer I saw pretty much on a whim. I have been avoiding getting a new car for months now because, to be frank, I didn't want to deal with car sales people. But Nick was SUPER helpful, honest, knowledgeable and quick to respond. Kyle did the financing end of things and was very patient with me. He got me an amazing deal. Overall, the staff wasn't judgemental, gimmicky or pushy. I felt listened to and respected, which is huge for me. Plus, I ended up walking away with my dream car AND it was in my budget! Couldn't believe I was able to make that work as I was expecting just to get a cheap daily rider that would tie me over until I could afford something nicer. Go see Nick & Kyle now! read more

Dave Smith Ford - Car Dealers Near Me - Williamsville, New York

I looked at a Ford F250 truck on Tuesday 8/18 and then drove that same truck on Wednesday 8/19. I worked out the following with the salesperson. I told the salesperson that I would be back Saturday morning with my trade in. He said he needed a deposit. I asked how much. He said $100.00. I gave him cash. He said he would put a sold sign on it. His boss called me Thursday and said they needed $100 for every 24 hours. As my deposit refundable I had intended to get my deposit back and give it right back to him for another 24hrs. In the meantime, I spoke with "DAVE SMITH" who told me to my face "we would never hold a truck for $100.00." While I was waiting for my $100.00 some over the hill muscle head employee decided to get in my face to try and intimidate me. Nice try. Not only does their word and handshake carry no weight they insinuated that I was the dishonest one and wouldn't keep my word to buy the truck on Saturday. Project much. read more

Disgusted!!! I purchased a 2015 Chevy Colorado in June 2024 and have put less than 5,000 miles on it. I have also kept up with the requirements to maintain the drivetrain warranty. Of course more $$$$. I have had to get it towed, check engine and over heating, again $$$. I had the inspection, now check engine again. They have had my truck 2 weeks and never keep me updated. I only spoke with Rich twice which I had to initiate. I was told it was a $23 dollar sensor but labor was $800 this was last Thursday, Friday the following week no truck oops now might be a wire. I had to call again of course he is off. No answers no vehicle. WHAT A JOKE!!! read more

I saw a car online I really wanted so i made sure to get there at opening which was 9am. Absolutely no one was in the show room and we waited 20 minutes before a technician just happened to walk through and advised us all salesmen were in their morning meeting. That really doesnt make sense to me that you have zero people on the floor to greet customers during the first half hour of you being open. They didnt update their website so the one car I wanted was already sold and so he tried showing me something more expensive, with more miles, that literally had dry wall screws in the bumper. Never go to this dealership, I went down the road to West Herr Chevy and immediately found something better and actually had employees that were professional read more

I had the worst experience at a dealership possible to occur. Mark put a deposit down on a vehicle to hold it because he thought I would like it. I test drove it and asked to have it overnight. Took it home, the next day the salesman and GM Dan told me I only had one hour to decide in which wasn't enough time for me. The GM was very rude. The next week they drop the price for auction because guess what? In that one hour I had a week had passed and no one looked at it. I text to see if it's available. Go in to buy it. Sign everything to take it home. There's a lean and no title. Dealership claims they did not know yet again a week prior I had one hour to decide. Vehicle had one small dent in which they said will be fixed, only has one key I am told I will get another. Over a week goes by before the titles in. Get the car it's been there dents still there, no key. Drive the SUV home only. Next day only to two stores. Brakes start squealing. Mechanic looks at it. I call next day. Oh bring it in. List of things wrong sent over including brakes, rotors calipers. Another week goes by they still have the truck. Go pick it up. It's making the same noise. GM gets in no noise of course. I drive home hear it turn around. Drive the salesman so much noise you can't believe he states "oh drive it 100 miles it should go away". Now I am getting upset I ask for the GM oh he's in a meeting. The tech comes for a ride hears it. Within the drive states all of this "oh we cleaned the pads, that noise will go away I promise, must be cheap brakes whoever put on it prior, yeah it's the brakes, GETS out of the vehicle says if it's still happening in a few weeks bring it back and tell them it's the pads and rotors but don't say I said so". I ask to talk to the GM manager dick head Dan. Explain what the tech said, that I am getting mad and it should be fixed. Dan comes back and says the tech said he didn't say that. In which I get mad and ask why I would lie. I said you are a dealership you should be fixing it not saying drive around with the noise. GM gets mad at myself and my significant other for expressing concerns about working in costumer service and they should be fixing it. Our experience was the worst we have had and trust me we own vehicles- he was told this. Dan gets pissed off states "I am not doing anything for you, I am done here. We are done". Gets up and walks away as I am still speaking. If this is the type of dealership you want to deal with be my guest. Hours wasted, treated and talked to like scum and sold a car they refuse to fix even when their tech stated all of the above. A manager who just says we're done and walks away, now that is the great representation of how you will be treated at DaveSmith Transit Road. read more

I am not a person that would usually say anything bad, but this dealership offered at no cost to me a "loyalty" engine and drivetrain warranty. When the transmission failed and left my daughter stranded on the thruway in high traffic, we had it towed to the dealer and they have continually held it hostage for over three anda half weeks saying they only had 1 person available to work on transmissions? We held up our end of the loyalty service, but yet they have not even shown any effort on their part to fix the vehicle. I will never purchase anything from this dealer let alone another FORD product. Now they have lost out on a 30K tradein (my 2023 Honda CRV Hybrid Touring edition with 10,000 miles) and the opportunity to have my daughter purchase a new vehicle from them. read more

Absolute joke of a dealership. Waited on hold for over 45 minutes for a manager and recieved nothing but voicemails. Recently purchased an expedition and within 3-4 weeks had oil leaking in the driveway among other mechanical issues that would Normally be corrected prior to sale. read more

I recently went in to inquire about a used bronco sport. I was lied to and misled about the price of the vehicle we were interested in. I was told they could come down in price and also they really wanted to get the car off the lot. I came back a couple days to negotiate and the sales person failed to remember what he told me but remembered us and his manager said they couldn't come down in price at all. A couple days later I sent my boyfriend to see if he would be treated the same way and told the same story I was . He was treated quite differently and the sales person and manager was willing to negotiate the price. This dealership I feel is sexiest, disrespectful, full of deceit and lack of transparency. Once the dealership found out that my boyfriend and I were together they lied and said the act was sold. Which is again another lie. Very dishonest and sketchy sales people there. would NEVER recommend or TRUST these people. They are what give car salesman a bad name. read more

Disappointed with Dave Smith Ford - Buyer Beware! We purchased a truck from Dave Smith Ford, and it has been nothing but trouble. Since November 2024 (which came on the second day after purchasing it), the check engine light has come on repeatedly--even after the service department worked on it two separate times! After having to have it looked at 3 other times. You'd think after that many visits, they'd figure out the problem, but here we are, still dealing with the same issue. To make matters worse, the entertainment console constantly freezes, making it completely unusable. So much for enjoying road trips or using navigation! We also never received a second key as promised. We trusted Dave Smith Ford to sell us a reliable vehicle and to stand behind their service work. Instead, we've been stuck in a frustrating cycle with no resolution. Customer service seems more interested in excuses than solutions. If you're considering buying a vehicle here, think twice. We regret giving them our business. read more

I could give 0 stars if that was an option I took my car in to get an alignment and 2 new front tires in late September, all was good until come 10 hours later and still couldnt get the right aide aligned. Took them FOREVER. Then come October and my car is leaking fuel, brought it in and they couldnt figure out what was wrong with it , they ruled it as the fuel vapor hose leaking , charged me over $1100, just to find out now , not even a month later , and my car is still leaking gas. We took it in the day before my appointment to explain to them everything , in which they didnt even care enough to listen, just to find out 24 hours later , still no diagnosis, AGAIN. constantly having to call for updates, never a courtesy call, not even good customer service , greeted with attitude and unfriendly faces. Highly recommend going to a different dealership , stay as far as possible away :) read more

Great selection of vehicles with informed sales staff that really care about your vehicle.

Before you purchase a vehicle and warranty, read the fine print. We had to file a claim and got the run around for MONTHS. Several phone calls and months later started another long process. We purchased the most expensive warranty coverage and expected better attention. MUST have your oil change completed by them or void your expensive warranty. Let me just add... we were told their prices are competitive, don't believe that for a minute. We will NEVER do business with snake oil salesmen in the future. Don't like a con. read more

Every time I come here for service, they go over & beyond to explain things to me. They are very professional & friendly.

My father has been coming here for years, dealing with his leases SUV's so it was only natural that we came here when it came time for me to get my first car! The man we deal with, Bill Anger, is incredibly personable and knows his stuff when it comes to buying and leasing cars. He made the process of buying my used car an absolute breeze (coming from someone who knew next to nothing about cars), and explained everything about my warranty easily. I bought a 2012 Ford Focus that had over 80,000 miles on it at the time, and was able to put $9,000 down, and I'm paying around $150 a month for it. I'm incredibly grateful for such an easy car payment, as I probably couldn't afford anything higher than that - and the car itself is still pretty modern by those standards, has all the cool radio tech I like about a car and gets fantastic mileage. Ford brand vehicles are fantastic! I have to bring my car in for oil changes frequently (as per requirement from their Limited Powertrain warranty) and they always make the process easy and quick. We sometimes have trouble setting up appointments to bring the car in, so I try to call in before I reach the next 5,000 miles, but when we come in for appointments the mechanics are usually pretty swift. They usually have coffee and donuts for you while you wait! Free wi-fi too! Every time I get my car serviced, they give me a free car wash voucher, which is just for a standard wash but I still think that's pretty awesome. They recently remodeled their space, building new showrooms, offices, and the waiting room, so everything's sleek and new. I can't imagine dealing anywhere else! read more

on Monday January 20th 2025 around 7 pm i went to this dealership to charge my EV dropped my car off and came later around 10pm to pick it up. upon picking my car up i see it only charged about 30% then it charged me $46.73 dollars for the 30% of charge. when i confronted the business about this discrepency they tried to sweep it under the rug by deleting my comments on social media and by blocking me from posting on their pages. When i called them to confront them about it they hung up on me 4 seperate times and treated me with the most disrespect i have ever witnessed claiming "i didnt have the right to post on thier pages" continuing on treated me like a toddler scolding me etc. absolutely horrible customer service. i want sara smith and Dan Flanigan Fired immediately and this dealership shut down for false advertising and for evading and handling their customer complaints like children and not taking responsibility for their actions. read more

Ive taken my Ford to be serviced here several times and I have never had a pleasant experience. Mike and Dolly in the service department are extremely rude and lack customer service skills. Everything costs an arm and a leg and when they give a price and you decide to go elsewhere they are very nasty about it. After this last experience, I won't be returning. I hear Dave Camp Ford in Hamburg would never allow this type of behavior in their service department. read more

I bought a really nice F350 from here and I really love the truck. Unfortunately, that's the only thing good I have to say. They made the buying process as difficult as I can imagine it being. They were late paying off my bank AND paid them the wrong amount. So I'm left dealing with my old bank to close out the old loan. They keep sending me little bills for this and that. It really feels like I'm dealing with one of those corner used car snake oil salesmen. Also, it's been over 2 months and I have not received my registration from the DMV, no doubt because they sent that paperwork in late as well. No matter how much you like a car/truck there, it's not worth it - just go somewhere else. read more

I recently bought a vehicle from Dave Smith Ford. I chose Dave Smith Ford over other dealers because I had such positive experiences with their service department in the past and it's close to my house. I am writing this review because I sincerely feel that my recent car-buying experience with Dave Smith Ford was the easiest and least stressful I have ever had. I highly recommend my salesman "Deuce" for a truly pain-free experience. Walking in I had no clue what I was looking for, or what I could afford. I truly appreciated Deuce's knowledge, helpfulness, non-judgement, patience, sense of humor and his no-pressure attitude. I never felt like he was annoyed even though I was a little picky....I highly recommend Dave Smith Ford...and be sure to ask for "Deuce" for an awesome, easy car-buying experience! read more

Bought my very first car here. A 2013 Grabber Blue Mustang. Had it serviced recently multiple times for multiple leaks that kept occurring. Well on October 11th, 2019 my mustang started on fire and is a complete and total loss. I am completely appalled at the negligence of the service department. This is the worst thing that has ever happened to me in my life. My pride, my joy, I worked hard to get this car and made it so unique and now it's completely gone because of what I thought was a reputable dealership. I wish I had bought my 2018 Mustang elsewhere because I will constantly worry about issues in the future since I had it serviced there as well. Also, when confronting service advisors, they are very rude and not helpful or sympathetic. This is something that I'll never get over or ever forget. I'm severely broken and can't stop crying and this dealership is basically laughing at me. read more

Reached out to Dave Smith Ford via internet and did not get a follow up for several days later telling me the vehicle I was looking for was in transit. When the vehicle finally got there instead of the sales person following up with me I had a friend tell me that the vehicle I was looking for was on the lot. All in all went here they truly undervalued my trade by approx $10k and tried to us a state tax law as a incentive not to take my vehicle else we're to sell. That to me is a horrible sales practice. This review is based of the used car sales department. Beware they sell cars with problems and even admitted a guy who was doing the inspections were passing cars and not fixing issues. They don't admit to mistakes and when you call for an issue they won't return your calls or take the blame. We had sales guy tell us he would help us get another car after they sold us one that was a lemon and the manger Corey told the sales guy to stop calling us and refused to allow us to get another car. Beware buying a used car here is a scam and they owner doesn't even do anything about it for his customers. read more

Our car was brought in on a Monday via AAA. We did not have an appointment but were told to bring it in. It was not looked at until the following Thursday. When we picked it up, we were told the computer had to be reset and it had drained the 2 year old battery to the point where it had to be replaced. We asked to take the battery with us as it was under warranty. Apparently there is a New York State fee to take the battery which we were charged $16.00. We took the battery to our local repair shop where we bought it for the refund under the warranty. When the repair shop put it on the charger, he said it was fully charged and we could not get the refund. We then took it to 2 more repair shops and they also tested it as a full charge. When we took it back to Dave Smith with the receipt showing it was fully charged, we were told they could not do anything as their machines show it as drained. We are more than disappointed and upset. In the past we never went to dealerships for repairs and definitely will not return to Dave Smith Ford, in Williamsville, New York. read more

This June decided to buy a new or used F150 super crew. I had my heart set on Ruby Red with chrome package and 5LV8. I put feelers out to 6 Ford dealers to see what they could find at my price point. Dave Smiths VIP coordinator came back within a day and discussed my needs wants and desires. Within 2 days he had a new 2014 F150 Super crew in Ruby Red with all the trimmings. To top it off he discussed the current Ford rebates and then threw in his discounts to get the price point down more than 10K$ and to my needs. I was now buying a brand new truck at a better than used truck price. He then tossed in a truck bed liner to close the deal. Needless to say all of my expectations were met with professionalism and attention to detail. Also the VIP coordinator and finance staff were great in flexing to meet my needs as a customer. I have bought all my trucks from Dave Smith. This place is a top notch business. They are extremely fair with trade ins and pricing on vehicles..this is not a place where you sit all day and haggle and feel uncomfortable. They just get a deal done. I am not a fan of any car dealerships because I have had bad luck but I feel good when I buy from here. Also the guys in the service department are great. I hate this place. I have been here for my oil change and it takes over 90 minutes each time. I don't know why they are so incompetent. It looks like Dave Smith Ford's first Yelp review has to be a poor one. We spent two days at their dealership working with the sales manager Eric. We are A-Plan (employee pricing) customers. The pricing is set forth by Ford and cannot be altered by the dealership. So it doesn't matter what dealership you use, you get the exact same price at each dealer on the same vehicle. Eric on several occasions repeatedly enter wrong numbers into their computer program yielding higher payments. Our Salesman Justin and I tried to correct him several times till I actually sat at his computer with him till he found his mistakes. Eric stated that he has been employed by the dealership as the sales manager for seven years. He should have a vast wealth of knowledge at this point in his career as to how the system works and which boxes the numbers go into on his computer. VERY frustrating to say the least. Once we finally found one that fits our needs, wants, and budget, he tells us he needs a $100 refundable deposit to get the truck from another dealer. We were shocked at that idea as within the past two and a half years we have leased $80,000 worth of vehicles from them. $100??? Really? Rather insulting. I advised that we would be back in the morning to fill out the paperwork. We went back in the morning. My wife wanted to drive a new Explorer to rule out wanting the Explorer over the F-150. One quick trip around the block and she knew she wanted the F-150. GREAT NEWS! Eric never saved the deal he worked on the night before with us or any of the paperwork! Not one person could find anything and Eric was off for the day. So we had to start ALL over again. Five hours later... a deal is finally worked out by the General Manager. All set! Filled out the Ford Credit paperwork and got and instant approval as expected. The General Manager told us the truck will be here Monday and we could take delivery as early as Tuesday. MORE GREAT NEWS! The General Manager NEVER called the dealership to verify that it was in inventory, and if so if they would trade it. EVEN MORE GREAT NEWS! The General Manager left the trade up to our dear friend Eric to complete Monday. I called Monday evening and NO truck. It has been sold. Nobody call us, no nothing. Our poor salesman Justin was stuck in the middle of this circus. The poor guy wasted all that time and will not make a dime because the management staff could not get their act together. Justin did an outstanding job being assertive when needed and giving us space when asked for some space. I truly believe that Dave Smith has his heart in the right place and he is giving 100%. The new remodel looks great. Their service and collision shops are second to none. Honest and FAST. But if you can't buy a car at Dave Smith because the wrong people are that the helm of sales, then how can a dealership with such potential achieve the greatness that their service shop and collision shop have earned? They can't. This is just our poor experience with Dave Smith Ford. I'm sure that most sales are not this miserable. We will lease a Ford, we are just not sure which dealership. So much money spent to earn a loyal customer, and two foolish people, two TOP MANAGEMENT foolish and or lazy people to lose so much future income for an entire dealership. *** UPDATE *** After going back and forth with Dave Smith Ford for the past five days, getting numbers on trucks that we were told were available only to find truck after truck not available, I called West Herr Ford of Amherst. I talked to a salesman over the phone. Never once met him, never went to the West Herr dealership. Told him of the problems we were having with Dave Smith and he assured us we would not have the same problems with West Herr. Within an hour he found two trucks that fit our requirements. He also verified that the dealer had them available and would dealer trade them. I received the window stickers of the two trucks from West Herr around 8:15 last night. At the same time Dave Smith sent me info on two trucks that they said they could get for us that fit our requirements at the same time last night. I was informed by Dave Smith early this morning that the trucks were no longer available. I told them about West Herr and asked them to give me a couple hours to see if they could get the truck they told me they could get. I then called West Herr and told him which one we wanted. He called back an hour later and said they will go get the truck we wanted. They still have not gotten the truck yet. *UPDATED* The Sales Manager and General Manager at Dave Smith both dropped the ball hard on this deal assuming we would take anything the wanted to stuff down our throat. We made it well known that it was inevitable that we were turning in a Ford lease and leasing another Ford and that it was just a matter of which dealership we worked with. read more

My brother and I contacted Dave Smith Ford in reference to having his power steering serviced on his 2010 ford fusion. We spoke with a representative that set up the appointment and provided the instructions on dropping the vehicle off before they opened. My brother was under the weather and wasn't able to keep the appointment, so he called to reschedule. Surprisingly we were told that there was no appointment in the system and that they don't service vehicles with 170,000 miles. Now if that is the case the representative needs to be trained on Dave Smith's policies because she wasn't aware of that when she scheduled the appointment.  Or if it was the case that someone saw the appointment and removed it because they didn't feel like working on my brother's vehicle. Either way Dave Smith Ford provided horrible customer service because if there was an error in setting up the appointment they could have had the decency to give us a call to let us know. If my brother didn't get sick, we would have had the vehicle towed to Dave Smith only to find out they refused to service the vehicle and would have had to have the vehicle towed back home, we would have wasted money towing the vehicle twice and it still not being serviced. I recommended Dave Smith to my brother due to a good experience I had and I felt very bad about the poor customer service that he received.
