Was in town for a wedding. Choose to support this place versus my usual Starbucks. Cute little place. The girl working the register was smacking on her gym and didn't seem to know much about the drinks available. I asked her "how many shots in a small latte?" And she responded that there were four. Sounded off to me, but I didn't question. I was disappointed when I got my latte and it only had one shot. I definitely would have gotten 2 extras if I knew it only had one. There was a more mature woman working, assuming maybe the owner or a manager. She made the drinks for me. Was very nice and welcoming. The women behind the counter was very sweet and welcoming, asking if I was here traveling, and thought it was so cool I found them on Yelp! They have salads, sandwiches, and full on breakfast menus.. We were passing through and stopped for coffee and a sandwich. The drip coffee was amazing and hot. The latte was delicious. We also had a ham croissant sandwich and a breakfast wrap. The croissant sandwich was beyond amazing. It gets better, we took a cinnamon roll to go. This is the best cinnamon roll that I have EVER had. Perfectly iced (lightly) the roll itself had the perfect balance of cinnamon. It was so fluffy I couldn't stop eating it!!! Highly recommend this place. We saw there is a Starbucks in town please pass up Starbucks for this place, it's a thousand times better. read more

I have come here twice now and both times were very disappointing. First time I came, I ordered an iced latte. The "barista" steamed the milk before putting it over ice. It was really bad. The second time I went the staff was rude. I was laughed at for not knowing what I wanted to drink the moment I walked in. On top of all that the coffee isn't even good. You will never get a good latte with nonfat milk. It is sad there isn't a good coffee shop in Marshalltown. read more
