Once you order, you might be waiting a little longer than you do at a typical fast food joint because everything is cooked to order. There is a veggie burger, too, if that is your desire. The menu is a bit sparse but covers most of the bases with burgers, hot dogs and a hand-breaded tenderloin. There is also barbecue pulled pork, chicken strips, and chicken sandwiches. There's also an array of grilled cheese with variations. Variations? Can you improve upon the basic grilled cheese sammich? Sure! Add bacon and tomato. Bacon? Sure! Everything is better with bacon! That's what I ordered, it was ooey-gooey as a grilled cheese should be, and the bacon and tomato just added to the experience! Deserts? Of course! Choose from sundaes or, as in my case, a milkshake or malt. I opted for a raspberry malt, which was thick and tasty, but thin enough to pull through a straw. (Unlike a certain fast-food joint where you can hold a malt upside down and it won't budge. Don't try that at Murph's!) I don't get this way very often, but next time I'm in the twin cities of Tama and Toledo, I'll be stopping back here.

The beans tasted canned, but the rice was yummy. The beans were too runny and leaked all over and made a mess into the rice (see photo). Overall okay, but I'd try other places before returning here.

I will say the tacos I had were pretty authentic, and the meat flavor was okay/good enough. The beans were watery and a very grey color... not appetizing. The rice was bland... It was soft and creamy. I bought the baked goodies to bring to AZ. This is definitely a stop when traveling in the rural areas of Iowa.

It's reputation has carried all the way over to us...50ish miles away. Easy to find with decent parking. The staff greeted me as I walked in. Bottles as far as you can see with some shelves that run almost to the very high ceilings... I ended up walking out with a Starlight Cigar Blend store pick and a bottle of Ezra Brooks Bourbon Cream. I'd given up on finding the bourbon cream. I'd found Buffalo Trace and other brands but not the Ezra Brooks. As I was grabbing the Starlight one of the gentleman walked up... Is this it? Yes. Yes it is... Thank you! If I understood correctly... They use a reward/points system to qualify to buy the more allocated products. Friendly service and tons of choices! Marshall BWS will be a must stop for me it I'm in Marshalltown! In fact it might even warrant a special trip that way every now and then...!

There were about five employees in the store, one working at the ice cream section, some making popcorn, and some in the back makingCandy. Everyone was keeping busy, but they all greeted us. One of the gals offered to help and told us about the specials right away. We bought fudge because my husband and son love it and I bought truffles. Everything was delicious. I sampled a little bit of the salted caramel corn, which was equally tasty. I wish I would've bought some. We got some of our delicious candy and headed out. I really just love the atmosphere and how they created their space for their Candy shop. If you don't drive out to Marshalltown anytime soon, they also ship out all over the country.
