Sweet Oaks Bakery and Bistro Review…read more I had a wonderful experience at wayward social for husbands 50 class reunion tonight. The atmosphere was warm, inviting, and perfect for enjoying a relaxing meal or coffee. The baked goods were fresh, delicious, and beautifully prepared, while the menu offered a great variety of flavorful options. The staff was friendly, attentive, and welcoming, making the visit even more enjoyable. I highly recommend Sweet Oaks Bakery and Bistro and look forward to returning!

Sooo, when we came to visit this was something fun for us to check out. The staff was super friendly and helpful. They took the time to explain everything, which turned out to be super affordable. It's $25 per hour per lane plus $3 for shoes. I paid $86 for a lane for 6 bowlers for 2 hours. We ordered pizza which was really good! They have a cauliflower crust option if you're gluten free, or you just prefer it like me! Lots of toppings to choose from as well. They have other menu items besides pizzas such as nachos (huge) or sandwiches. There are cocktails and beers on tap. My daughter chose the cucumber pear Moscow mule. Very refreshing and crisp! We had a fun experience! We'll have to come back to hang out when we visit again someday!

I went in planning to order salmon, but when our server explained the Patio Burger special, we both chose that. The Patio Burger comprises two patties, totaling 8 oz with cheese, garlic aioli, lettuce and tomato on a brioche bun. I must say that this is one of the best burgers I have had in a long, long time. Toppings aside, the reason I say this is that the patties had a very flavorful grill crust and was well seasoned. This was seriously good. The chefs/cooks here know what they are doing, at least they did on this particular night. Burgers like this have become expensive in recent years but this one is comparatively reasonable at $15. Kudos to Aunt Maude's, always a great place to eat. As an aside, my brother and I had a burger and beer at The Boulder Tap House, three months earlier. That burger was a disappointment at the other end of the spectrum. Skip BTH and go to Aunt Maude's for a great burger.

The drink specials were good, and honestly the drinks made the Walmart run before dinner a little more tolerable. We came back later for dinner, and the food was fine. I had the Kickin' Raspberry Chicken for $14.99, which was a grilled chicken sandwich with Jamaican jerk seasoning, grilled pineapple, ghost pepper cheese, and raspberry sauce on ciabatta. It was good, messy, and that ghost pepper cheese definitely had some fire to it. I liked it. I honestly do not remember what Kim had, but not because it was bad -- just because the meal overall was not especially memorable. The bigger issue was the service. Our server seemed like she was ready to be somewhere else, and that threw off the vibe for us. Nothing was bad enough to complain about, but it was just barely good enough not to. We probably should have stayed at the bar like we usually do, because the bar side seemed more fun and the bartender looked like UFC legend Chuck Liddell, which at least added some entertainment value. I would come back for the drinks, especially if I was staying nearby again. The food was okay, my sandwich was actually pretty good, but the service left us wanting to finish up and walk somewhere else.
