I scheduled an appointment for a locksmith to come to my home, but no one showed up. When I called they said it had been rescheduled, but I was not notified. I scheduled a second appointment and like the first, no one showed up. I don't have a clue about the quality of their work, but failing to show on two occasions is not encouraging. read more

I was locked out of my home because the lock on my door was broken (I had two keys but neither would work) . West End lock has a agreement with our Hoa to exclusively service us and has a master key. My building uses odd commercial grade locks that no other company or locksmith in the area knows how to work on. Tech on the phone refused to help me, told me to call another locksmith because he was 30mins away. When I tried to tell him that no one else can help with these particular locks, he started berating me and saying "let me teach you a lesson". I tried 3 times saying "sorry but can you direct me to someone else who can help me" but he kept ranting. I got very frustrated and hung up. This was the worst customer service experience I have ever had in my entire life. read more

More accurately, I'd give West End Lock 4.5 stars. The only thing that keeps it from 5 is that, at times, it feels like off the street customers are not as catered to as their business clients might be. I've not really got anything solid to base that on but it's just one of those feelings, you know? I have never been turned away or completely ignored. But the greatest part of their business is that they've got basically every key blank you could possible need copied. I have literally gone in with a key ring of 6 different keys (one had no number, one was for a random cabinet lock) and asked if they could copy the whole ring. The young guy behind the counter said, 'Sure!'. And it was that simple. I've had keys copied at Lowe's and other places before but no one has copied keys as well as these guys. The other great thing about them is that they have high security entry solutions for us and the expertise to back it up. I look forward to get all my locks, keys, and cylinders from these guys in the future. read more

The techs are probably pretty good but the gals in the office have their heads up their ass. I scheduled an appointment to have all the locks changed on my house and they never showed up. When I called the girl in the office said she remembered talking to me but forgot to put it on the schedule. Sat here all day waiting for theses jerks and never showed up. read more

I go here when I need a key copied or to buy multiple locks that all need to be keyed the same. The service is fast (unless you get behind a guy with a big order) and there are lots of locks, safes, and other security devices to look at while you wait. Ugh. Three trips here and my cylinders still weren't right. Took the lot to ABC Lock and Key on Nolensville Road and all locks work perfectly now. West End has horrible hours (M-F 9-5) too. Skip these guys. read more

Just visited West End Lock for second time. Service same as last time: prompt, professional, and great service. Had a truck door lock issue on 66 Ford F-100. Fixed the problem in less than 3 minutes. Would not charge me! Excellent place to do business. Highly recommend. read more

The place for keys - they all worked like a charm

I called West End lock off of a neighbors phone when my landlord did not answer. I left a message on the emergency voicemail and did not leave my number because IT WAS LOCKED IN MY APARTMENT. My landlord ended up showing up and the locksmith came up to my apartment 1 minute after she left. I did not have time to cancel since he showed up literally 1 minute after i had stepped inside (but arrived an hour after i called) Terrible service and will not work with me on a fair price considering the locksmith did no servicing to my apartment. Five star service! I will never go to Home Depot or a large chain store to have a key copy made again. These guys do pretty much one thing and they do it well. West End Lock changed our locks this morning . I left for work - returned in the afternoon to find the new keys made by them did not work - I was locked out of my house - charge by them $115.00. Called their installer - was told - he was not on the clock - to call after hours . We asked their number - his reply " I don't know ".
