The vehicle I purchased a few months ago only came with one key. I called the dealership to see how much a duplicate key would cost, and it was $300 + programming+tax. I called A-1, they told me they had the key I needed in stock and gave me a quote. It was $150 plus tax for the key/fob/programming. I came into A-1 about two hours after the phone call and was helped immediately. They had my key/fob ready and programmed to the car in under 20 minutes. I also got another laser cut key made while I was there and that was $40. I appreciate the quick service and reasonable pricing!! read more

I used A-1 Locksmith for the first time today and was very impresses!! I needed to have a new car key programmed for my car. I was in/out in less than 20 minutes and the price was very reasonable. I highly recommend this locksmith for all your key needs. They were great! read more

a very smooth rekeying process, I stopped by and got mine within 10min. great service, reasonably priced!

I am not a complainer, but worse than poor service, I dislike deceit. Today, we called A-1 Locksmith to unlock our full-size door that allows you to enter the storage area under our home. We had misplaced the keys and could not get in and we needed access to our water heater. Several times, my husband asked, "$85.00, correct?"--it should have been obvious we needed a definitive and total cost. After arriving and getting the door unlocked, the technician said it would be an additional $25 if we wanted the keys. WHAT??? Who would think if we had a locked door originally, and told him we had lost our keys, that we wouldn't want to lock the door again and would need the keys to unlock it in the future? This is no different than asking and getting a price, and then after the work is done, saying we also have to pay $.50 a mile for for the distance between their office and our home. It would have been SO easy to give us that information regarding the necessary keys UPFRONT, when they were repeatedly asked for the price. Had they done that, we still would have used them. However, since they chose to hide that information, we will not only NOT use them again, but we will tell others not to call them. Honesty is always the best policy. read more

Always refreshing to see a company that is customer oriented. I had a chance to meet the owner who was able to program two of my Honda Accord keys where Home Depot wasn't able to do it. I bought Ebay replacement keys that are not clonable (found this out after the fact) by places like Lowes or Home Depot. They connected a machine to the electronics and programmed the two keys I brought in. I'm glad I was referred by a friend rather than going to the dealership and getting price gouged! read more

A-1 Locksmith - Relief to be here rather than at Crest Honda lol - Keys & Locksmiths Near Me - Nashville, Tennessee

Service was outstanding! Quick response about their ability to cut a key. When I got there, service was quick and worked perfect!

Accidentally locked my keys in my car late at night, but since it wasn't an emergency, I decided that I didn't need anyone til the morning. However, that night I contacted 3 locksmiths to see who could come out the earliest. A-1 messaged me back immediately (again, late at night) saying they could send someone in the morning. Upon arriving, Khled was super friendly and professional. The best part? He had my car opened and keys out in LESS than 60 seconds. The entire length of the time he arrived through the end of payment and a handshake was 5 minutes total. I couldn't be more pleased! Hopefully this never happens again, but if it does, I will be calling these guys first! read more

Guys my age, 50+, kind and knowledgeable. Have used more than once, will go back.

When we called we were greeted by a friendly but an almost unintelligible gentleman who told us that they would arrive in about half an hour. After waiting about 45 minutes, we called back and were unable to reach him. After repeated attempts at contact and over an hour later we finally got him again and were told that we were too far away. We ended up calling some other company to resolve our issue. read more

Good service-- I went in for a walk-in key fob replacement and it was a very quick process, and the price was way better than going to the car dealership ($250 vs $600 at the dealer) read more

A1 Locksmith on Nolensville Pike, just south of Thompson Lane, made a duplicate key for me today. I supplied a blank to them for my 02 Lexus. Once they confirmed that it was the correct blank they proceeded to "cut" the key for me. They were very professional and courteous. They're pricing is extremely fair as well. I would highly recommend them for duplicate car keys and would use them again. read more

A1 was fast and affordable! We had trouble with the handle lock on our front door getting stuck. After calling at 8:30 on a Monday morning, they had someone at our home in less than an hour. He was able to fix the lock in about 30 minutes without needing to order any new parts. He was kind and easy to work with, and mindful that we have dogs in the house and kept the door closed so they wouldn't escape. In the end we spent less than $100 for his time, which is far less than we expected for such a quick turnaround. read more

I had a great experience with A-1. They showed up when they said they would. The gentleman who came was polite and skilled. He unlocked my lock quickly. I recommend this business. read more

A-1 immediately told me the price over the phone for my car's make and model with no hassle. I had called four other places and they all absolutely refused to give me a price over the phone, no matter how much information I gave them. The complete price they quoted was about the same as other places were charging just to show up. Very affordable. They gave me a realistic estimate for arrival time and made everything easy. A-1 is now my go-to locksmith for any issues I have. read more

Highly recommend! I lost my car key and within two hours of receiving my call (on a Saturday), A-1 arrived at my house, made and programmed a copy as well as two spares for a very affordable price. Both people I spoke with were friendly and helpful. Without A-1's impressive turnaround and service, I would have had to wait three days for an expensive tow to a dealership for an equally expensive replacement key. Thank you so much! I am so relieved and grateful! read more

I was down to 1 non-working fob key for my car. Emailed and got a response right away. Scheduled appointment and was in and out with a key that worked perfectly. Polite, friendly, and helpful, I'd recommend these guys to anyone looking for a Locksmith. read more

Hours on numerous websites say opens at 8am. Arrive beforehand and wait. No problem. 8:15 still no one. Called and voicemail not set up. Why have a shop if you don't open. read more

I just received their services and it was horrible. I waited beyond the time they stated. They lack communication with each other. The driver did not have my address but he had my number. He called me and I gave him my address over the phone while he was driving but that didn't help him. We had to hang up, rejoin the call then I had to text him my location. This took him even more additional time to get to me. read more

My husband took two broken key fobs, one for our Acura and the other for our Infiniti, to A-1. We purchased the unprogrammed fobs online and then took them to A-1 to be programmed and cut. The gentlemen at A-1 couldn't have been more hospitable or knowledgable. The Acura fob was straightforward but the Infiniti fob was more difficult because of the push-button start. They consulted documentation and each other and were able to correctly program and cut this key fob as well. Their prices are very reasonable and the entire experience was as pleasurable as getting key fobs cut and programmed can be. We highly recommend! read more

Great locksmith! I was in and out in about 10 minutes and they were so much cheaper than a dealership. I highly recommend this business.

Very knowledgeable and well experienced locksmith and key fob programmer! If you just need a car key made or a keyfob duplicated or programming your own; this is the place to go!!!! Had my Toyota Avalon push start keyfob programmed and duplicated the key all in less than 30 minutes. Super impressed and will suggest to anyone in need of these types of services. read more

Occasionally I enjoy locking my house key inside my house and my car key inside my car with the windows rolled up to keep the keys safe from any harm that might befall them. It's only after this protective act that I realize that this heroic effort has left me stranded with no way to reunite with my belongings. Then I discovered A-1 Locksmith. Very quick response (even on weekend evenings) and they can pop a lock in a hurry so you can get on with your life. Very polite service. read more

They might be good for cars but don't call them for residential work. They didn't know what they were talking about and tried to bluff their way into a much higher bill. We had a second opinion that was much more honest. read more

used A1 once and very fast reliable service. We were pleased.

The folks at A-1 were super friendly, reliable, and professional. After not one but two snafus on my end, the owner was totally easy to work with. I will definitely use them again and recommend them to friends. read more

Absolutely horrible service! Made an appointment which no one showed up. Called to see what was going on and no one could tell me anything, that they would call back. Which no one did.. so I called back in which they were rude, not understanding, and all they could tell me, is it would be a whole hour before they could get anyone sent to me. After I made the appointment at that time for a reason. read more

Responded within 20 minutes and had my car door open in no time. Friendly, fast and not expensive!

So I bought a 2015 vehicle that only came with one key fob . Me being a cost saving fellow I bought the extra fob online (exact same as my factory fob) only to find out almost everyone I called said they couldn't program it for me if I didn't buy the fob from them .One guy was very rude within 30 secs after finding out I had bought it online . I had the same thing happen with my HVAC Unit at home . The guys at A1 Locksmith were the only one in town that would program the multifunction key fob as well as made the emergency physical key for me . All on a Saturday . Very friendly . It's good to know that there are still businesses that actually will work on something they didn't sell you . I will definitely use them again... read more

Highway robbery. Last summer (I just signed up on Yelp today) I hauled a bicycle car rack to them to unlock the cable. It took less than 90 seconds. And the guy charged me $50, explaining that was their regular fee. And it was A-1 Locksmith. I drove by there this afternoon to make sure. read more

Great service. I had a very similar experience as Chris W. I bought a 2016 Ford truck from Carmax that only came with one key/fob. I bought another one online but the dealerships I contacted either didn't have a laser cutter to cut the key or wanted over $100 to cut and program it. One dealership referred me to a mobile locksmith named Todd who was initially just unpleasant to speak with but then became downright rude after I told him I bought the key online. A-1 Locksmith responded to my Yelp inquiry quickly and with a very reasonable quote. I was in and out of their shop in under 15 minutes with a cut and programmed key. The gentleman that helped me was very polite and friendly. I also noticed they have a ton of keys and fobs on their wall at the shop - they even had one like mine. I will definitely use them again. read more

I would never go to this place. The man did spent 30 minutes to cut my key and another 20 minutes trying to program the key. He couldn't succeed and asked me to unfinished task. When I refused to pay he said my car will not anymore. I had to call police to report. Finally he returned my original key. read more

Pretty good place! Needed a duplicate car key/fob made, stopped into the shop, and it was done within 10 minutes. The only thing wrong was that the battery in the new fob they gave me wore out within a couple of months (which means it had been sitting around for a while). read more
