John is a great locksmith. I had a difficult one to make a key for a jaguar which uses an unusual key. Most locksmiths don't have the equipment to do it. He was able to do it while I waited. He also does make mobile calls. On a separate occasion we needed extra keys for our Audi A4. He made the trip out to Pegram, past Bellevue, to do it for us and was reasonably priced. He is my hero! I have a 97 SL 320 Mercedes with only one key. No one was able to make me a duplicate key. I mean no one! I spent weeks calling around the country and no one could duplicate a key for this year and model SL. Mercedes classic dept said they do not have the keyfob. Dealers said the same thing. Cunningham Car Keys said he could do it. Came to my house one time.. realized this was a special type of key and said he would get back to me i a week. Sure enough he did ..found the blanks and the all important program to duplicate the key. I can't recommend him enough. Well I suppose it has to happen to everyone! I got home from work and locked my keys in my car with no spare to speak of. After a quick scan through the Yelp app, I chose Auto Lock & Key from its nearby location and the couple of good reviews. I was not disappointed! The gentlemen showed up in 5 minutes ( I was just around the corner) and had my car opened in less than 1 minute. The best part was that he even offered to make me a quick spare key for FREE. All started at a show in Nashville (from Knoxville) , a somewhat wild show.. well, during all that one can lose a few things, including their keys. I drive a 98 Accord, so in my mind I thought I was a little screwed.. I heard that the ignition requires a chipped key, which is why I put off getting a spare for so long (until it was too late). I found this company and called, explained the issue, and was assured they'd be there soon. After a fairly prompt arrival, he was able to reprogram the ignition for the key and supply a newly chipped key at what I assume would be a fraction of the cost if I went through the dealer. I "googled" Auto Lock & Key, called in the afternoon and asked if my broken door lock could be re-keyed to match my ignition key. I had spent months, first opening the passenger door with the key, flipping the door lock button, and then walking around the vehicle to enter the driver's door. By 4:30 pm John returned my call. By 6:30 pm that same day, John pulled into my driveway and by 7:30 pm, I had a new lock, a new key, and a very reasonable invoice. John was pleasant, courteous, and patient in answering my questions. On a whim, I decided to call Cunningham's for a price comparison - not only would the price be cut in half from what the dealership was offering, they'd come out to my home within the next 20 minutes.
