John is a great locksmith. I had a difficult one to make a key for a jaguar which uses an unusual key. Most locksmiths don't have the equipment to do it. He was able to do it while I waited. He also does make mobile calls. On a separate occasion we needed extra keys for our Audi A4. He made the trip out to Pegram, past Bellevue, to do it for us and was reasonably priced. He is my go to for a Locksmith. Rob Connor read more

He is my hero! I have a 97 SL 320 Mercedes with only one key. No one was able to make me a duplicate key. I mean no one! I spent weeks calling around the country and no one could duplicate a key for this year and model SL. Mercedes classic dept said they do not have the keyfob. Dealers said the same thing. Cunningham Car Keys said he could do it. Came to my house one time.. realized this was a special type of key and said he would get back to me i a week. Sure enough he did ..found the blanks and the all important program to duplicate the key. I can't recommend him enough. I am a real person living in Greenbrier Tn. driving a red SL320 thanks to his work. read more

Very nice guy. Took care of my truck. Great price. Very friendly. I need to take another car to him. I'd use him again any time.

Car key/fob was made while I waited and works well. Took 3 places to go to until I could find this company that could do my key with chip!

Well I suppose it has to happen to everyone! I got home from work and locked my keys in my car with no spare to speak of. After a quick scan through the Yelp app, I chose Auto Lock & Key from its nearby location and the couple of good reviews. I was not disappointed! The gentlemen showed up in 5 minutes ( I was just around the corner) and had my car opened in less than 1 minute. The best part was that he even offered to make me a quick spare key for FREE. The whole ordeal took less than 10 minutes, and $40 bucks later I was on my way. Not bad at all and the service was polite and excellent! read more

All started at a show in Nashville (from Knoxville) , a somewhat wild show.. well, during all that one can lose a few things, including their keys. I drive a 98 Accord, so in my mind I thought I was a little screwed.. I heard that the ignition requires a chipped key, which is why I put off getting a spare for so long (until it was too late). I found this company and called, explained the issue, and was assured they'd be there soon. After a fairly prompt arrival, he was able to reprogram the ignition for the key and supply a newly chipped key at what I assume would be a fraction of the cost if I went through the dealer. Appreciate it again, would recommend it.. Made it so I was able to get home into my own bed that night! read more

Locked my keys in the car, made a single call, and I was in my car in less than 30 minutes for a very fair price. Very professional, quick, and friendly. I would highly recommend his service and would use it again (hopefully not though). Thanks again! Total lifesaver on a moment's notice :)) read more

I "googled" Auto Lock & Key, called in the afternoon and asked if my broken door lock could be re-keyed to match my ignition key. I had spent months, first opening the passenger door with the key, flipping the door lock button, and then walking around the vehicle to enter the driver's door. By 4:30 pm John returned my call. By 6:30 pm that same day, John pulled into my driveway and by 7:30 pm, I had a new lock, a new key, and a very reasonable invoice. John was pleasant, courteous, and patient in answering my questions. I could not have asked for a better experience. I would give him 10 starts if that were an option! read more

Mr. Cunningham was described to me as THE EXPERT when dealing with automotive key and lock issues. I just left his business after he "fixed" a malfunctioning door lock on my 66 Ford truck. He was thorough, very careful, and actually helped on another mechanical problem in the door. I could not be more pleased. Highly recommended!! read more

John was honest on the phone and quick to arrive. His prices were in line with the rest of the locksmiths I called. He showed up quickly and seemed very competent. Made me a chip key for my truck and a spare for my motorcycle too. He's registered with the National Locksmith Association (not with the BBB but the locksmith association is the main American locksmith accreditation organization so I felt fine) All in all it took only 15-20 min. I would definitely use him again. Always good to support local small business too. read more

I needed a remote start key replacement for my car. I called a dealership that specialized in the make of my car and they set me up with an appointment 4 days from now so that they can order the key fob, gave me a quote that would have made a huge dent in our budget, and seemed unsure of the replacement process in general. On a whim, I decided to call Cunningham's for a price comparison - not only would the price be cut in half from what the dealership was offering, they'd come out to my home within the next 20 minutes. It seemed too good to be true, but it absolutely wasn't. They showed up in 20 minutes, replaced the key in under 30 minutes (dealership said we'd have to wait there for about 2 hours), and the price was exactly as I was quoted. Highly recommend! read more
