On March 15, 2024, my wife and I were returning from our spring break trip to Florida. Our 2004 (!) Lexus LS 430 - a faithful, reliable ride - driving up I-65. We had topped off the fuel tank along the way and at the moment of our sudden need, the fuel gauge read just above the 1/4 remaining mark; the "miles remaining" read 110. I was confident that with only 20 or so miles to go, we would not require a fill up to make it home. Wrong. We coasted to a stop on the breakdown lane along a very [VERY!] busy highway, and called AAA. When we described our need for gas only, - no tow - we were told that a gallon of gas [standard amount] would be delivered in "about an hour and a quarter." Well, it wasn't more than 20 minutes that Scot called to say "help is on the way" and confirmed our location. He even called as he passed us on his way south to get to the first turnaround ramps. He identified his truck and noted the flashing lights so that we would know who was pulling in behind us. Just a few minutes later, there they were. I was keenly aware that the very high traffic volume, with the big rig trucks passing us uncomfortably close, and mentioned that this is as close to unsafe as you would want, standing literally on the road side of the white line while holding the gas can up to pour into the tank. They agreed that traffic to and from Florida was always very heavy and the danger factor was raised whenever they had to respond to a call on the main North-South arteries. But it ended well - clearly - and Scot and his teammate waited to be sure the Lexus would start, Then provided some added 'shielding' for us to pull out onto the traffic lane. Scot's business card has "Make Scot your first call!" Excellent advice. If we ever need roadside help anywhere in Middle Tennessee, our first call will be to First Call Roadside Rescue. Driving from Boston to Texas and got a pesky nail in our tire that was causing it to lose air rapidly. Toyota Road Side Assistance sent Scott out to help us and it was the exact type of experience you want to have. He called me about 10 min after I hung up with Toyota and said he was 38 min out but showed up even sooner than that, nice! He is the ONLY person in this area offering on site tire repairs, and not just throwing on the spare tire. This was past 9pm and we were so worried we wouldn't find anyone! Nail was removed and tire like new in about 10 min. Really fair price of $45 which I thought would be much more. Then we had the most lovely conversation and got some great recommendations about TN and even Louisiana where Scott is from. read more

I woke up to a flat tire and Scot was out at my location within 40 minutes. luckily it was a slow leak. Scot gave me the option to where he could inflate it enough for me to go and take it in tomorrow morning or he would be able to patch it right then and there for a small additional charge. Since taking even 2 hours off of work on a Monday morning was difficult, I had him patch the hole right then. He was fast, efficient and so nice! We had a tire blow out 40minutes from home. All tire shops were closed and our spare was at home.Scot went above and beyond to help us get back up and going. He called a friend who owned a tire shop. Went and picked up the tire bought it back and helped assist with putting back on. We tried paying him and he wouldn't accept a payment.
