Just happened upon this place during a stroll in beautiful Cape May. It's co-op shopping and I enjoy that! Perfectly curated selection of goods that offers something for everyone. Nothing is cheesy. The prices are pretty much retail prices. And I love the oddities and rare finds. So grab you a cuppa from Beach Plum Bakery and peruse the beautiful West End Garage.

Don't ever visit Cape May and not come into West End Garage. It's always a pleasure to check out every nook and cranny and I'm sure that you'll find something to purchase. If not, you could go right next door and enjoy their cafe/bakery. Either way.....enjoy the browsing and potential purchase.

I stop here every time I'm in Cape May. It is a large refurbished garage with booths of vendors. The vendors range from vintage to clothing to food to jewelry. It is a great place to explore! There's always a treasure waiting to be found. A central check out is located at the front of the door. The staff are very nice. They wrap items in tissue paper. The Beach Plum Cafe is also in the front. Coffee, tea, pastries and sandwiches are available. The chai tea was made with a homemade chai syrup. It was very good! And not too sweet.

A fantastic collection of all local things "Cape May", just over the border in West Cape May. I came here on the recommendation from an antique shop in Ocean City. They also recommended going to Beach Plum Farm. West End Garage has a bakery outpost from the farm so you can kill two birds. After seeing how awesome this bake shop was, I did make the trip out west, but that's another review. In this one warehouse, you can find everything. T-shirt's, souvenirs, furniture, jewelry, hardware & home decor items, paintings, teas, heirloom seeds, candles, and so much more. You pay at the front according to sticker stating the booth you collected the items from. Theres a clean bathroom, free parking on the street and around the park. A definite must see if you're in the area.

I love that the Beach Plum Cafe is also there and sells La Colombe Coffee, which is one of my favorites.

But I came along anyway and was very pleasantly surprised! We went in to buy my grandmother a quilt for her new bed. We had some great options- some beautiful ones for $85+, and some cheaper (but still nice) ones around $40-50. We found a $45 quilt that she will really like. My mom felt that some of the prices were much better than you'd find in other places, and some of the prices were about the same. Along the way, we all managed to get sidetracked. I bought an adorable green striped apron for $12. My mom bought a bunch of striped dish towels for 50 cents each, 2 kinds of pillows (one blue with white seashells and one with red/blue stripes) for $10 each, and potholders. My sister bought some sheets for a twin-size bed which were really cheap (I believe about $15 each). The people working in the store were very friendly and offered to help us multiple times. The store wasn't very big but had a lot of fun things in it (even for someone who doesn't like linens!). It did, however, get crowded- even though we were there about 10 minutes after it opened. If you're looking for anything linen-related and you're on a tight budget, definitely check out Cape May Linen Outlet!

The dark exterior of Quirk & Co. caught my eye and quickly drew me in. Equally unique as the almost black sided exterior is the warm and rich wood tones of the interior. A lot of stores on the pedestrian-friendly Washington Street Mall blur together in my head but this shop was very memorable. Aside from the fabulous exterior and interior, I really liked the staff! They were welcoming and friendly, very laid back and conversational but not over-bearing or pushy. That is totally the way to do it. Kinda like you're just having conversation at a cocktail party. A lot of the merchandise sold at Quirk & Co is made by local artisans and other merchandise is proudly made in the USA. They have an awesome collection of candles, jewelry, scarves, tote bags, mugs, pillows and such. I also think I saw some cool vintage painted furniture. Animal lovers and those looking for some Cape May memorabilia will find some good stuff here too. Overall a great little shop with terrific staff!

PRO TIP - Try to not say "adorable" or "cute" all day while shopping here, and it is literally impossible. Especially because Quirk & Co. is full of adorable and cute things! I fell in love with the mermaid art made out of pieces of seashells. And the doggie pillows. And the beautifully candles that just smell so fresh. Decor inside is spare and not too crowded. In the back, I think there is an area where they showcase chalk paint furniture. Nice!
