Not to mention the manager is one of the kindest humans you will ever meet. My husband is a big bourbon fan so he has encountered all sorts of ABC workers and many a times, for whatever reason, the Bourbon fans are just not their jam and they often times are rude to them, but not here at Shallotte. I've bartended before. I understand the responsibility. But I was never asked a single question about what I'd actually been doing. For clarity: we had lunch at Michael's Seafood before our first visit. I had one non‑alcoholic seltzer at Island Beverage, and my partner had a four‑flight sampler. After that, we went thrifting and shopping at Goodwill, Lowe's Foods, and Dollar Tree. No drinking. No bar‑hopping. Nothing even close. On our second visit, Geneva gave us water and let us charge a phone -- and I do appreciate that. But being told "you've been out all day" instead of "welcome back" was unnecessary, inaccurate, and frankly insulting. It was an assumption presented as fact, and it was embarrassing. What made it even more absurd was watching Geneva continue to serve patrons who were clearly intoxicated while I sat there with a glass of water. So here's the takeaway: Don't go in twice in one day. Apparently that alone is enough to get treated like you've been drinking all over town. After this experience, I won't be going in on any day. I hope the staff can handle situations like this with actual communication instead of jumping straight to conclusions.

Well she called around and the gentleman on the phone confirmed that had them so were stored in. This was not a huge store but a liquor store does not need to be the size of a Sam's club. They had a great selection on spirits. We were only there for what we called about so we didn't really get into anything else. We purchased 4 of the 4 packs in those shots and then they also had singles for sale as well so we got a few of those. The employee who helped us was and older gentleman but not the same as in the phone. He was fairly nice and pleasant as he helped us track down those shots we called about. Overall it was a pleasant experience at this store and though I probably won't ever be back in the area again, I would recommend it to anyone who was looking to buy some spirit's near by.
