In the course of selling my home and moving back to California, there were a number of significant delays, which both Rene's and their partner handled with understanding and flexibility. When I moved back in 2025, I also used Rene's facilities to store my furniture and possessions until I closed on a new home. While looking for a home, I found one that was significantly smaller than the one I had previously owned. That meant that most of my furniture was disproportionately large for the smaller home. Rene's was able to pull the items I identified from storage, and take them to charities to donate. And finally, they moved me into my new home in Palm Springs. Everything that was delivered to me, including items that were exceptionally fragile, were treated with great care, and arrived fully intact and unblemished. Everyone with whom I dealt at both Rene's and their partners were friendly, helpful, and treated me as if they really valued my business. That was especially true with Mark at Rene's. The issue with selling and then moving was a fraught time, and he made it significantly easier for me than it could've been. I originally called Rene's because I had seen them on a show that Candy Spelling had appeared on where she had used them to move. I was impressed with the care that they took on her valuable and precious items. I'm certainly no society figure, but they took just as much care with my possessions. I really felt like I was just as important as their more prestigious clients. In fact, when I had closed on my home in Palm Springs, I found I was going to be moving during one of Rene's busier months, and somehow Mark managed to get me slotted in. Despite all this, I found Rene's prices to be more than reasonable given the quality of care that they exercise, as well as their excellent customer service. I highly recommend Rene's for local or interstate moving, as well as storage. Five stars!

I had a deeply frustrating experience with this company while planning a PCS move from San Diego,…read moreCA to Kansas City, KS, and I would strongly caution others before using their services. Bobby, who helped initiate my estimate and original move date, was great, but unfortunately, it went downhill from there. There was a clear lack of professionalism and disregard for their own stated policies. I called to move my pickup date earlier by one week, well within the timeframe outlined in my estimate, which explicitly states there are no fees for changes made more than seven days in advance. Despite this, I was charged $250 via Zelle by a representative (Chad or Collin), and I never received updated paperwork reflecting the change. It all came off as very scammy and as I am in the process of purchasing a house and moving across the country, I was CONCERNED. When I followed up, the experience only worsened. Michael, who was polite on the phone, acknowledged the charge was incorrect and said he would investigate and call me back, he never did. I then spoke with a "manager" who contradicted him, claimed he didn't have the authority to say that, and also promised a follow-up call, which never came. Four days later, she called, not to resolve the issue, but to ask for an updated inventory list, seemingly unaware of our prior conversation. I made multiple additional attempts to resolve the issue with no success. No one followed through, no one took ownership, and I never even received updated documentation confirming my new pickup date. Ultimately, I canceled my move and decided to handle it myself. If a company can't follow its own policies, communicate transparently, or uphold basic customer service standards, it's hard to trust them with something as important as your personal belongings. Before canceling, I requested the return of the $250 improper charge, knowing I likely wouldn't recover my $1,500 deposit. I was told I would receive "an email with a solution", one I am still waiting on. This experience highlights just another modern day "business" who is incapable of operating as a legitimate business.
