Anywho, this stop doesn't seem to be cleaned out very often, based on the discoloration of the toilets. While I was passing by the open stalls, I thought people were being lazy and not flushing, but when I finally stepped into a stall, I realized the bowl was just caked with filth. This stop like most have vending machines and a map of Michigan. It's got a very short and easy in and out. Cars drive to the right and trucks/cars with trailers drive to the left.

This rest area has a wide sweeping turn at the entrance that does a great job of slowing down cars as they come off the highway. That's always a plus for me. Separate space for cars and trucks, which I'm sure the truckers appreciate. Lots of trees but no shade at 3:30pm. The rest area has clean bathrooms, vending machines, picnic tables, charcoal grills and a pet walking area. As compared to others, it seems a bit larger and cleaner. On my most recent trip, I refilled my water bottle at the designated refill station, and unfortunately the water had a metallic after taste. I wish I had sipped it before we left so I could've notified the staff and/or purchased a water bottle from the vending machines.

Plenty of restrooms with dirty well water in the bowls that makes it look not flushed. Nice area for a dog run and for kids and adults to stretch out. There's also plenty of picnic tables for a snack break too. You can see signs of spring in the 3 gardens surrounding the welcome center as well. It's nice and cool or as fancy as some I have been to in other states, like Ohio with food courts and the like, but it serves its function. My husband teased that this is my first rest stop review, ever.

Upper part of MI hotels can be costly it was getting late and thought we had to go all the way to Saginaw to find something ! Was not sure as we pulled up being it's hooked to a gas station in front then a restaurant also. What a surprise this was! Paid $147 with tax & fees here. Room was really nice Indoor pool area would be great for family with kids. Can get a room with balcony. Refrigerator and microwave were placed on top of the desk, so if you were planning to bring some work (as I often do but fortunately didn't have to on this trip) you won't find much space to do it. Bed was a little soft, but I still slept well. So, nothing great, but a less expensive and quieter alternative to the places in West Branch near I-75. I would have no problem going back.

The pool, hot tub and workout room were all clean and well maintained. The beds are so comfortable that my husband and I slept until 10 in the morning, which we never, ever do! We called the front desk and asked for an extra half hour to check out so we wouldn't have to rush and they were very pleasant and accommodating. The staff was friendly and welcoming during both check-in and check out. This hotel is convenient to anything you may need in the area, is clean, has great amenities andfriendly staff. What more could you ask for?

Stayed a night for a soccer tournament, stayed years earlier and it was fine. Same as this time…read more Staff was beyond fantastic, rooms are clean and large. The bar is nice too. Food is reasonable. Free bottles of water for the soccer players, which was nice. Downside: It's been cold in the area and the heat in the room never went over 73 degrees even though it was set to 76 after hours at 74. The room was just always chilly. You'd think you could get a little relief from the shower, but no, it never got hotter than luke warm. Also the parking spaces are too small. It's fine for smaller sedans but not for trucks. Both sides of my car have scratches on it from people getting in and out of their trucks. Anyways, I've been to other hotels in the immediate area and I like them better; probably won't be back.
