Hi, I have not stayed at the resort but the restaurant? AMAZING. The food is so good and they have a unique variety of foods. The list is long on what can be improved. When we were there, they were out of half the menu. Any sauce we requested was met with ranch dressing. Sat on the back deck. The chairs were all in horrible condition. Wood planks were coming up. Tables were dirty. The experience was so bad, it was comical. read more

Lost Arrow is back and better than ever! If you haven't stopped by, it's probably because you hate having a good time. Pizza is delicious, and not that "delicious with acid reflux", but the best in the area (If ya know you know). Ask for a side of their garlic butter and ranch. Prices are great, location is amazing and I'm excited to see if the fish fry Friday's are just as good. I'm so glad to see this place being revived. Went Saturday for their prime rib special. It was delicious as well as filling. The portions are great the service was outstanding. I couldn't find one thing wrong with my meal, very much so that I came back the next day to try their burger. Something a little bit more casual but just as delicious. The drinks flow freely and definitely are not shy of booze. I say if you are in the area it would be a great place to eat with wonderful views of the river, however, if you need a place to stay, we looked up their rates and they are very affordable. We asked for a little ice for beverages in room and had to buy an entire bag from the company bar, no in room ice available. No microwave in room. Bed was hard and uncomfortable. No local TV available for news and weather although Amazon Prime movies were available. Small trees/plants growing in gutters. No on-site activities available, perhaps for an upcharge. Room had peculiar aroma. No staff at desk when trying to check in and had to go search for someone. I was looking so forward to spend a relaxing day/evening away from the big city-no luck. Probably a great location for smelly hunters during deer season to get away from wife and kids. Grounds and facilities are in disarray and need an experienced handyman and gardener to bring things up to being nearly average. SPOILED WEEKEND! read more

What a great place for a family gathering! We brought three generations (about 25 people total in 5 cabins) and had a great Independence Day weekend. Allison, Sarah and the entire team here is outstanding. For example, when we had our whole group over to the riverfront for dinner, they let us all sit together and handled the whole affair with grace and humor. The food was served promptly, mixed drinks were good, and they have a good selection of draft and bottled beer. Tyler was performing that evening and killed it. The song selection was varied, and he had the kids joining in on vocals (from the tables). Anyone who can blend Morgan Wallen, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Prince into a coherent set list has my support. During the day, we enjoyed activities including the kayaks, and the evening fireworks and bonfire were memorable. We loved the facilities and family atmosphere at Lost Arrow and look forward to our next visit. read more

Just updating, the last time I ate at Lost Arrow I got E-coli. Apparently the walk in freezer was not working properly. I was hospitalized for 3 WEEKS. I could've sued you. I'm just gonna tell you guys, DO NOT trust these people. And the manager, disrespectful and unprofessional. I suggest you take off that bright colored blazer and do your work. I'm not calling her unprofessional just because of that either. I could go on and on about this, but I wont. read more

We had a 25 person family reunion this summer at lost arrow. We couldn't more enthusiastically recommend this resort to hold small or big events at. We enjoyed the cabins. The cabins were clean and comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at the restaurant, the food was excellent and the service was excellent. Came here for drinks and dinner. Our food for four people took and hour and a half so when it finally was going to be ready we asked for it to be in to go boxes, got home and one order was missing. We called to ask to come pick it up and they stated it would be another 40 minutes minimum before the food would be ready. Honestly, it's wild that I called about my missing order and was told it would another 40 minutes on top of the hour and a half I already waited. As someone who's worked in in the restaurant industry for quite sometime I found the lack of hospitality very surprising and while I understand they are newly opened, I would've expected more effort to correct their mistake. read more

Highly recommend! What an amazing place! I was there this past weekend for the grand "re-opening" of the restaurant and wow! The place was packed with smiling, happy, thankful customers who came out to support this family owned local business. It was super brave of the new Lost Arrow owners to decide to re-open on a busy holiday weekend without yet having a full crew, but they did it and everyone around me was super appreciative that they were willing to take that chance. If you are looking for a unique restaurant that allows you the opportunity to sit outside and have a few drinks and/or a meal as you overlook a winding river, then this is your place! I will definitely be back and look forward to not only coming for dinner, but would love to plan a weekend "get-a-way" with my family and stay in one of the cabins on the water so that we can enjoy kayaking, swimming, etc. I look forward to seeing you again in the near future and wish you continued success! read more

Well, we went back for a late lunch and were given the dinner menu at 2 pm on a Saturday. When a vegetarian asked for beans to replace the meat in the salad, we were told that they had no beans. This is a hunting lodge, so we don't expect great veggie dishes, but NO BEANS? Aren't beans in venison chili? The service was snail slow even though the restaurant was practically empty. Once again the manager walked around in a daze with no eye contact made with customers. This resort has changed hands and is no longer any good. Will definitely never go back. read more

Since the new ownership, it went way down hill. Poor service, poor drinks, poor mangement, poor menu selection versus what was there before. I think before you invest/buy a restaurant you should know what you are doing and it is clear here they do not. Did I mention the broken down docks, unkept property and cocky chef that needs to learn a little about the area and what made this place decent at one time. What a pleasant and fun surprise this was! We were in Gladwin for a wedding and chose this location for an overnight stay. Wow! From the moment we pulled into the property we literally kept saying "wow!" as we drove around to the office. Clearly, this very old property has been wonderfully refurbished to visual splendor. We stayed in a very simple, clean and comfortable room in the center motel and really wanted a chance to visit one of the outer edge cabins. They look like so much fun! People staying in them looked very happy. The main office where you check in is filled with nostalgia of times long past. If you are a fan of Fred Bear (old archery hunting and big game) you'll want to view the photos in the hallway. If you have the time, make sure to ask one of the new owners if they can show you the old bar. I felt like I was given privileged access to step into the past and imagine the activities of the day. Talking to the new owners, you can immediately see and hear their passion for this place. It's where they all worked as children and they are bringing it back to its old glory of days long gone by. read more

We stayed here over the week-end. The resort was very nice and the food at the restaurant was awesome! We stayed in the motel. I gave 4 stars because the motel was kind of outdated. The room was very clean just a bit outdated and really had strong smell. We were not sure if it was bug spray or propane. If we go in the summer and stay, we will definatley rent a cottage. The service and food were excellent at the restaurant! The Venison appetizer was super good! Their menu has dinner, lunch, salads, pizza, soup, etc. on it. Will definately go there again. They even have a nice little gift shop next to the restaurant. read more

We stayed here for our anniversary in early June...When we arrived we were tired and went to the pool...All I can say is disgusting...Alge in pool...Toliets broken in mens bathroom. And the jaccuzi was broken too...So we went to our private cabin that came with no tv remotes...outdated tvs...No coffee maker as advertised..The grass was uncut..At checkin I had to sign in and intitial a piece of paper for the rental..After a 3 hour drive with 3 dogs and my wife I was tired...Big mistake!!! I should have read it..My wife smoked in the cabin (with an ashtray they provided at each cabin)...And a week later we were charged 150 dollars for them to so call it "had to clean the entire cabin" We cleaned up all of our dogs waste and cleaned the cabin before we left...Its even in thier pictures with an ashtray on a table in the cabin!!! The place is nothing what it was and never will be!!! The only good thing they have is Chef Garcia! This place is a dump. Dont waste your time or money...Wish I would have taken more pics!!! Place is a joke. Staff is rude and judgemental! Save your money and dont go to this ****hole!!!! read more
