Loved everything about this resort! I spend most MI summer weekends enjoying the Lake Huron…read morebeachfront at different venues with cottage rentals. Crystal Sands Beach resort was able to accommodate a girls weekend (17 girls) easily. The beach house apartments provided plenty of room, gorgeous views, full kitchen and an open floor plan. The Villa's are equipped with full kitchens, bedrooms, and open floor plans in general living areas. The Suite's were open floor plans with refrigerators and coffeemakers. The property and beach were well kept and grounds crews seemed to make regular rounds to ensure cleanliness. The resort is on the beach and has a gorgeous beach area. There were many families and children enjoying their swimming, kayaking, and bulldog sand castles. At night the resort set up chairs and multiple fire pits on the beach for guests and kept the wood coming and fires going! The resort also came equipped with regular housekeeping which included daily garbage changes, cleaning, and towel replacement. The resort is handicap accessible with an ADA Suite and handicap beach access. My travel companion is wheelchair bound and we had no problems getting around. The beach house steps were wide enough to get a wheelchair bound person up and down and all staff and owners were quick to offer assistance when we took the wheelchair and occupant of wheelchair up and down the steps. I've stayed in many (most) locations in that area on the beach and this is by far the best. We can't wait to go back for our annual girls weekend next year! I can't say enough about the location or the amazing staff/owners of the resort. They truly work hard (while making it appear effortless) to ensure everyone is having a great time. Thank you Sam and Nada!!!! It was truly a pleasure meeting you and thank you for such a great time and all that you did to make our 25th annual weekend perfect!

This hotel is absolutely fabulous and it was one of the best experiences I've had in some time. I…read morecame here for a work conference with a fellow coworker and we received a discount for staying here (along with other attendees.) Walking in, the lobby is absolutely fabulous, beautifully decorated and well maintained. The staff greets you when you walk in and the front desk has at least one person, usually two working and available all the time along with a concierge. The hotel's located right on main street so you're close to the action of downtown midland. Plenty of restaurants within walking distance along with a private parking garage. There's street parking as well, but I think it's limited to no overnight parking. Speaking of food, the H hotel also has at least one (maybe two) onsite restaurants. I know one of them is called Cafe Zinc. While we didn't eat there, it looked super nice, and worth a shot if you want. The rooms here are amazing. High end mattress, beautifully laid out bathroom with a barn door, coffee station with a Keurig, small fridge and automatic blinds! I abused the automatic blinds and enjoyed not having outside lighting disrupt my sleep. They have a couch that's built into the wall, almost like a daybed. I tried laying on it but I didn't find it all that comfy to be honest. Plenty of charging ports, a robe, slippers and plenty of storage space for your luggage and clothing. The TV is hidden behind a mirror and blends in with the decorum. They have a pool here and an exercise room which I did not use due to lack of time. Valet is by request and aside from a tip, part of your stay here. The concierge will take your luggage up, but don't forget to tip! The meeting and conference rooms were fantastic. The hotel offers different sized rooms, and we used all of them. The largest I think is the Indigo where we ate and had breakfast. The catering staff did a fantastic job of serving breakfast on time and promptly at 7:30 AM, along with lunch as well for both days I was there. If something ran out, the staff refilled it immediately. In the conference rooms, they also provided a briefcase with office supplies if you should need them. I checked it out and actually had to use a few. Such items include highlighters, staplers, note cards, binder clips and other small ticket office items. They also have a fabulous courtyard that leads out into downtown midland. They have curling set up in the middle along with tables and benches throughout. At night, the tables have gas fireplaces so you can toast your buns if it's chilly, like it was the second day we were there. Our conference didn't use the courtyard a lot, but the other convention did. We also sat outside to eat once, and it was great. The only thing lacking was the garbage cans were hard to find. I think they had one by the door but additional garbage cans would've been great. My only complaint? The elevators were down when we arrived. I guess their renovating the two that they have in the lobby and it got annoying after a while. The repair guys were working on it and they got one up and running by the end of the day. The second one was totally out of service. I hope they get that fixed soon as carrying luggage or going up 5 flights of stairs doesn't sound exciting if you're coming and going all the time. Overall, this hotel's a gem and everyone should stay here at least once. What a fantastic experience!

The second visit, we were not able to get the same type of room and settled for a basic queen room. When we first got into the room, we attempted to lower the temperature of the room since it was hot. When the thermostat was lowered the temperature did not change. After contacting the front desk, who very professional, and we were informed the engineer would check out the room. When he arrived, he informed us the coolers were not turned on, but the room was still warm. His solution was to just open a window. Not customer oriented. The shower head was loose and would not stay in position while showering and had to be held in place. Not what was expected for a hotel of this caliber.

Panelling, old carpet, older looking furniture, but very cozy. Our unit had two bedrooms, a tiny kitchenette area, a living room and dining room area that kind of blended together. The AC worked great and there was a cable Tv in the living room. It's got a cabin feel to it, but again, was very nice. What really made the place great was it's sitting right on the lake shore. Our unit was a short walk across the parking lot to the beach area. There was shuffle board, a fire pit, a playground and plenty of beach area and chairs available. There was even a couple wood swings and a cornhole game set up. The owners were super friendly. Each unit has a charcoal grill that we used. The room had dishes and silverware. A coffee maker but no filters. The beds were cozy, and the place was really quiet. Our unit was right near the main road and we didn't even hear the traffic. I would definitely stay here again, we wished we could of stayed a few days longer after only staying one day. The price was right too, I think our off season rate (after Labor Day) was only $75 a night.

We walked into a one-bedroom apartment. The bedroom had two queen-size beds then off to the right was a living room with a big screen TV, a dining area and a small kitchen area that was fully furnished with dishes, coffee pot and everything you needed for an amazing weekend. On the table was a welcome gift from the owners, which was a pleasant surprise. They have a small gift shop which was where we got to meet some of the workers. They were such Pleasant people! We told them we were there for a girls weekend - and really had no plans. They gave us recommendations for places to go and things to see. They even introduced us to one of the charter boat captains, Captain Dan, who let us girls take pictures on his boat pretending like we were out fishing! This is something our husbands had been talking about doing for years and never did - so we wanted to tease them - and Captain Dan played along with our shenanigans - and laughed about it as much as we did! Outside they offered a community fire pit - and made sure there was plenty of firewood for us girls to enjoy a wonderful evening fire overlooking Lake Huron! As usual, our weekend went way too fast and we all agreed, that we were already looking forward to coming back next year! Thank You for an Amazing weekend!!

They were not far from the casino, and they were cheaper. Plus, no draconian occupancy rules. The room is spacious and the beds are comfortable. There's a good-sized fridge and a small microwave. But, the awesome thing is that the TV has literally hundreds of stations, including premium stations like HBO. There are security cameras along the walkway between the rooms. This may seem unusual, but I like the idea that the hotel manager is keeping an eye out for trouble. Next time I'm in the area, I'll want to spend the night here.

I appreciated having an full size ironing board as my husband is in town for work , and I wanted to have him look his best. I like the decor well although they are in process of touching up the walls which didn't bother us. The locals we have spoken with say it is the only place in town to stay. Even with the 25$ a night pet fee it is reasonable. 85$. Another plus is the gas station close by (BP). I was able to get coffee there and bring it to our room where we sat at our little table and enjoyed. The gas station also had the computer plug I needed to charge my phone. All rooms are easily accessible( no stairs to climb). The front desk lady was very nice. So happy to have found this place.
