I've been a customer here for more than 25 years and I've always had excellent service and spot on accurate advice. They are under new ownership and have recently doubled their store space by making over the adjacent building. Here's an example of my experiences here: my wife bought a new microwave oven at an auction. We brought it home, took it out of the box, plugged it in and nothing. I took the cover off and discovered a blown fuse. I took the fuse to True Value and they said it was most likely a defective fuse rather than a problem with the microwave. They had a new fuse and when I plugged it in it worked just fine. They also rent equipment and when I've rented things they have all worked fine - like new. True Value - you get an A+! I'm so glad your in Troy!

I stopped in Lowe's while working in the area to check out the garden center. I wasn't expecting…read moreto see many outdoor plants because it is only March 31, early spring. But I was surprised to find that the garden center was full of colorful plants. There were beautiful hanging baskets available too. The plants are neatly arranged and labeled with the name of the plant, care instructions, and whether it requires sun or shade. Prices are very reasonable and the selection is vast. A garden center employee was helpful and knowledgeable. She was able to answer my questions and let me know that more plants would be arriving soon.

My mom is looking for ideal pricing to install new windows. She already looked into a few other…read morecompanies before checking to this one. My brother and my mom let the guy know that she is a little tight on money since she just retired. She then asked if they could install one of the windows that she saw displayed in store. The guy seemed very rude and refused to do any of the estimates. Then he claims that he is more valuable than any doctor. This offended my mom since she has retired from being a nurse for 40 plus years. She then ended his service from there since it was disrespectful for how he said that to her. I felt like it would be disrespectful to claim about being more valuable than anyone if you are trying to sell or get some business from anyone. It was also unprofessional. Be careful with who you speak with to get new windows installed.

They have human cashiers, not just robots. You get a good deal on all the stuff, it's cost competitive. They have most of the stuff you would need. They're not anti-human. They are local. Personally speaking I get all of my construction, Home upgrade, and gaming snacks at Menards. (It's a better deal than Kroger or Meijer for some of those. Walmart got rid of customer service a long time ago, they just go to the lowest common denominator for their day-to-day floor staff, they just grind those folks to dust. They might have local cheap, but the larger costs are pretty big.)
