I've been a customer here for more than 25 years and I've always had excellent service and spot on accurate advice. They are under new ownership and have recently doubled their store space by making over the adjacent building. Here's an example of my experiences here: my wife bought a new microwave oven at an auction. We brought it home, took it out of the box, plugged it in and nothing. I took the cover off and discovered a blown fuse. I took the fuse to True Value and they said it was most likely a defective fuse rather than a problem with the microwave. They had a new fuse and when I plugged it in it worked just fine. They also rent equipment and when I've rented things they have all worked fine - like new. True Value - you get an A+! I stopped in Lowe's while working in the area to check out the garden center. I wasn't expecting…read moreto see many outdoor plants because it is only March 31, early spring. But I was surprised to find that the garden center was full of colorful plants. There were beautiful hanging baskets available too. The plants are neatly arranged and labeled with the name of the plant, care instructions, and whether it requires sun or shade. Prices are very reasonable and the selection is vast. A garden center employee was helpful and knowledgeable. She was able to answer my questions and let me know that more plants would be arriving soon.

I've been to this Lowes a hundred times if I've been once. Once I bought all new windows for my house here, that was a $25,000 spend. Over the past 25 years I've bought lawn tractors, plywood, oak boards, trim sticks, cement, treated lumber, dishwashers, floor tile, toilets, sinks, kitchen cabinets, dimensional lumber, a myriad of bolts, screws and fasteners. The list goes on.... Today I bought some eye bolts, pine sticks, rubber bungees and dish soap. I needed some help trying to select a vinyl flooring glue and the applicator so I pushed the help button and an employee was there in about a minute. He helped me figure out what I needed quickly. Lowes employees are always knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. Just ask any employee where something is- they always know!!! Plus, as a veteran I get 10% off everything! I'm a big fan!

They have human cashiers, not just robots. You get a good deal on all the stuff, it's cost competitive. They have most of the stuff you would need. They're not anti-human. They are local. Personally speaking I get all of my construction, Home upgrade, and gaming snacks at Menards. (It's a better deal than Kroger or Meijer for some of those. Walmart got rid of customer service a long time ago, they just go to the lowest common denominator for their day-to-day floor staff, they just grind those folks to dust. They might have local cheap, but the larger costs are pretty big.)

And selected a rub for fish that we wanted to cook a bit later. Next, I needed a strong pair of pliers to work on some fencing. They had exactly what I needed. They treat veterans well with special parking and a 10% discount on just about everything. The only thing that I don't care for is that a year or so ago they started outsourcing the installation of appliances. The Lowe's provided installers were great and I really miss them. The outsourcing is slower and more difficult to get in touch with.
