I highly recommend this company for your HVAC needs. A neighbor recommended All American Heating…read moreand Cooling, as they have used them for years and were very happy with the service. This neighbor is particular with who works on their home, so they only recommend great contractors. We are so happy we called them. We have had few unsolved mysteries with our HVAC over the last year, and have spent thousands with another HVAC contractor attempting to get to the bottom of it all. All American listened when I called, perhaps skeptical at first since it sounded like I had quite a few issues, but they scheduled me right away, sent a tenured tech out, he went through all of the issues with me again, was kind to my dogs, was quick to figure things out, explained what was going on in easy terms, and got things fixed. We did not even have major issues, it was a simple fix I wish we had known about long ago, so we appreciate their honesty. To top it off, they were unbelievably fair with their pricing. We will be using them going forward for all HVAC needs and highly recommend them!

When i asked how much they charge per hour, they said that this minumal "flat fee". There's no indication of any FLAT FEE on WWW.ALLAMERICANHC.COM website. We called D&W. They were quick to respond and determined that the system had a leak in its coil. Randy was handling our issue himself. He found that the replacement part needed to repair the coil was not readily available, however, the option to replace the entire coil was available immediately. He opted, rather than making us wait for a replacement part in the midsummer heat, to replace the whole coil, bearing the additional expense out of his own pocket. We could not be more impressed. What an incredibly generous thing to do. To me that is the ultimate not only in service, but in character, and in commitment to the customer. Our house is back in order and being cooled beautifully. We can't thank Randy and all the staff of DMW enough and, of course, we can't recommend them more highly. Many, many thanks.

After considering several companies, I chose D&D and spent tens of thousands of dollars on two new systems. Unfortunately, the 5-ton system had always been finicky and difficult to operate from the beginning. I then went away on vacation for two full months, during which the system was barely used. I returned home on August 7. Despite being finicky, it was cooling the house. D&D had a visit scheduled for August 10 to take photos of the unit for what I was told was the "final permit inspection." Before that visit, the AC was cooling the house. After that visit, it stopped working properly and was no longer cooling the house as it had been. When I reported the problem, D&D blamed it on a secondary air filter that another contractor had temporarily placed over ONE return inside the house. What I find difficult to understand about that explanation is that the AC had been running and cooling the house with that temporary filter already in place before the "inspection photos" were taken. The noticeable problem occurred after that visit. I called the office, and they sent another young technician. After his visit, things became even worse: the entire system stopped working, and there was no power going to the thermostat. Around the same time, my kitchen light also began flickering. My family was now completely without AC in the middle of the Sarasota summer heat -- for three nights already! After all this hassle, I personally contacted the Sarasota County construction/building department because I wanted to speak directly with an inspector. I also told D&D clearly that I wanted an IN-PERSON final inspection, not simply a photo inspection, because I have several questions and concerns about the installation that I want to clarify directly with the inspector. After everything that has happened, I want those questions addressed during an actual inspection. I called D&D again requesting emergency service. Despite this being a newly installed system that had completely stopped working, I encountered serious resistance. They gave me a service window covering almost the entire day. I had to travel out of town for business. About two hours into my four-hour trip, I received a call from their office saying the manager wanted to accompany the technician because the technician was new and inexperienced. However, the manager could not come that day. I told them that was unacceptable. Their staffing and supervision problems should not become my family's problem. If D&D believed their technician needed a manager present, then D&D needed to find a solution -- not decide that my family would spend another day without air conditioning simply because their manager wasn't available. If having people, including children, suffering inside a house that felt like a sauna wasn't enough to make this an emergency, I would hope that at the very least the welfare of a dog completely dependent on us would matter to them. But apparently, none of it was urgent enough. Despite giving me an almost all-day service window, the technician never showed up. We were left without AC again. My sons were complaining that the house felt like a sauna and that the heat was making them feel sick. This is simply unacceptable after spending tens of thousands of dollars replacing two HVAC systems. What makes this experience even more disappointing is the enormous difference between the attention we received before the sale and after the sale. The salesman was extremely attentive and very good at pushing his product. He even bragged about being related to the owner of the company, which naturally gave the impression that he had a close connection to the business and would stand behind what he was selling. However, once we had serious problems, I contacted him several times asking for help and felt completely disregarded. Apparently, being related to the owner was worth mentioning while making the sale, but it did not translate into accountability or assistance when we actually needed help. When a customer spends this kind of money replacing two complete HVAC systems, they should not have to fight to get a newly installed system working, repeatedly call for help, receive an almost all-day service window, and then have nobody show up at all while their family remains without AC. Based on my experience, I absolutely cannot recommend D&D. If you are considering this company, be very careful and ask questions about what happens AFTER the sale. Don't judge a company only by how attentive and persuasive the salesperson is when they want your business. Selling an expensive HVAC system is the easy part. We had the best experience with the electrician Zachary E. First, we enjoyed reading the profile…read moresummary that told us a little bit about him! We thought that was a nice personal touch. He was quick getting to our house and quick with finding the problem to both of our AC units. Turns out the AC people had the wiring all wrong and after two AC guys came out and couldn't figure out what was wrong- we are soooo appreciative Zach came to the rescue. He was fast and efficient, found the problem and took care of it. We finally have AC in our new home thanks to Zachary! We are so grateful. Thank you Zach so much! Would highly recommend him.

Do not hire BOLT Electric. They did a very sloppy job,…read moreovercharged us, and treated us poorly. We (my mom in her 80s, my special needs brother, and myself) hired BOLT in March of 2025. We suffered damage to our home due to Hurricane Helene. The electric was not damaged, but our home's electric was from the 60s, and BOLT said we needed a whole-home rewire. We were desperate to get construction started and get permits approved. Our first mistake was not getting a second option or estimate. Later, we discovered that they overcharged us by 20 to 30 thousand dollars according to industry-standard pricing. They allowed a new electrician at their company to handle our project with no oversight; he was not an Ace at his job. BOLT removed electric outlets in several places in the home and did not replace them. BOLT left an outlet in the bathroom with the old wiring in the wall and just put a plate over it to "make it go away". All light switches and outlets in our home are at random heights. Here is the worst example. There were no outlets or switches on this wall (next to the sink) before they started. The project manager pointed out at our initial meeting that the conduit running along the wall in front of our home was unseemly, and he does not do things like that. After they completed their work, we have conduit running to our porch lights because BOLT took out the old electric lines and did not replace them, and this was their fix. BOLT stepped on an air conditioning line in the attic, told no one, blamed it on condensation. We had to have our garage ceiling fixed. BOLT crushed the ductwork in the attic, and we had to have it all replaced. The electrician we hired to clean up Bolt's mess told us the outlets they used were not appropriate and we had to have several replaced as well as drywall and painting done. BOLT installed the hood vent wiring off-center. BOLT broke one of our new kitchen cabinets installing the stove. BOLT refused to install the dishwasher; "it was the contractor's problem". BOLT also treated my contractor horribly. My belief is that they had an issue with their ethnicity. Any issue we had with the finishes in the home was treated as our fault or we should have known to communicate the problems they created to the contractor. BOLT refused to speak to the contractor about construction requirements in the kitchen; my 80-year-old mother was used as a go-between them though all three of them were in the house at the same time. We moved back into our home in December 2025, though it was still under construction. We could not afford renting anymore. We told BOLT we were moving home. BOLT chose not to turn on the breaker for the hot water heater. We were concerned about touching the panel as it was horribly mislabeled, and the house was still a construction zone. It took BOLT several attempts to label the electric panel correctly. They priced gouged us, costing us $ 15,574.99 plus to fix their mistakes. We thought speaking to the owner, Patrick, would finally get them to do the right thing but after several requests for a meeting, we were finally told by BOLT's office staff that he has nothing to do with the running of the company. He just poses in sunglasses with his chin up holding his jacket for the website. This leaves his staff to do whatever awful things they want to do to the public. They waited for the electric inspection to pass (it took 2 attempts) and then we were ghosted. I believe they saw a widow and her family suffering a devastating loss from a natural disaster as a way to do a cheap job for money. My mom has been hospitalized several times due to the stress this whole situation has caused our family. Do not hire this BOLT; they will not be honest; they will blame you whenever they can. We did try mediation, but the person "in charge" does not like confrontation, as explained by the office staff; that is why he ran out of the meeting after less than 5 minutes.
