Richard showed up and gave me an estimate - he was very thorough explaining exactly what I needed to set up a generator outlet. I hired him on the spot and he completed the project in less than two hours. He was very professional and helped me pick out a new generator and cord. I highly recommend this USMC veteran Semper Fi read more

Dan and Gabriel from Sergeant's Electric did a great job installing two surge protectors for me. Dan took the time to explain how everything works and what to do if there is ever a problem, which I really appreciated. I also asked them about some battery-operated shades I eventually want to hardwire, and they were very helpful in explaining the options and what they could do. They showed strong problem-solving skills and offered alternate solutions when discussing how to fix issues, which gave me confidence in their work. Their prices also seemed fair and reasonable. I would definitely recommend Sergeant's Electric for anyone looking for knowledgeable, helpful, and trustworthy electricians. read more

We've used Sergeant's Electric for a variety of services and have been very pleased with their work. Techs have been very courteous, and respectful of our property while doing good work and they show up when promised! They mounted an outside receptacle to plug in our emergency power generator and installed a circuit transfer switch in our electric panel to prevent our generator power from feeding back into the power company lines. We recently had them quote a whole house standby generator and they were honest with their recommendations, and the price was comparable to what had been quoted by a local big box store. However, because we don't have natural gas service in our area, we needed to go with a large propane gas storge tank, which our HOA restrictions required to be underground, making the whole project considerably more expensive than we could justify. We like the fact that their techs and salespeople do not work on commission, nor do they try to upsell like so many area "Do it all" service companies that offer, electrical, air-conditioning & plumbing services. Sergeants does only one thing and they do it very well. read more

What an easy and wonderful experience all around. I was getting quotes to install an EV charger in my garage. From communicating with Travis through Yelp (he was super helpful and gave me an accurate quote) to their office calling twice to leave a reminder about our upcoming appointment to Erik coming to do the installation right on time. Erik was super helpful and explained some things to think about on my installation location. He did a great job and everything looks and works perfect! I would use Sergeants again for sure!! Great work & good price (included permit ) read more

We used Sergeants' Electric to purchase a large portable Generator for our 3,000 sq ft home in Venice, FL, and to have a sub-panel installed since our go-to electrician retired! At our initial visit, Nick and his assistant showed up and walked us through everything. They were knowledgeable, professional, and we knew then we had made the right choice. There was also no pressure! The office staff kept us updated on the generator's arrival date and accommodated us immediately for the install date and time. It was great to see Nick and an assistant return for the install, and everything went seamlessly! We have now found our new Electricians! If, like me, electrical work seems daunting, please don't hesitate to call Sergeants Electric; they truly are a company you can rely on at a reasonable price, to top it off! read more

Unacceptably high estimate to raise 9 outlets from floor height to 44" after the flood. $6K to do this and replace one 40 foot run of #4 3 strand for the stove to the breaker is outrageous. I always get at least 3 estimates and the others came in under $2K for the same work. On top of that, the person they sent out tried very hard to sell me a discount program to reduce the price 10%. Seriously????? Not happening........ read more

We have had Sergeants Electric out for several electrical improvement projects and they always deliver! We've had recessed lighting, under cabinet lighting, dimmer switches, small electrical issues fixed. Some of our bigger projects we've had them install a new panel and electric for inline water heater, designated outlet for wine fridge and also new electric for Storm Smart Shutters. Highly recommend! read more

I called Sergeant's based on reviews that I had seen here on Yelp as well as recommendations on NextDoor. I was interested in installing a whole house surge protector. The two gents who showed up were pleasant and professional. They gave me multiple options and answered all my questions to my satisfaction. I ended up installing two surge protectors, one at the main electrical panel and one to protect my A/C Condenser outside my home. The price I was offered seemed fair and reasonable. I'm quite happy with their service and I would definitely call them again for my electrical service needs. read more

I recently requested a quote from Sergeants Electric to install an outlet 60" up on my wall for a mounted TV. I submitted the request online over the weekend and received a callback first thing Monday to schedule the quote--great responsiveness! They informed me they could do the installation on the spot if I agreed to the quote. Josh and Dylan arrived promptly as promised and presented the quote transparently on a company rate sheet. They were professional, knowledgeable, and efficient; the entire process took about 30 minutes. I'm very pleased with the experience and highly recommend Sergeants Electric! read more

We called on a Friday mid morning because we didn't have any water due to the system tripping a breaker. They worked us into the schedule same day. We paid a premium for same day service but to us it was worth it. Christian arrived looking clean cut, driving a well maintained logo'd company vehicle. He was well spoken and kind. He got right to work diagnosing our issue and replacing our breaker. He also gave us some recommendations for lanai and pool lighting as well as adding an outlet. We are having them back out later this month to do some more work for us. Very pleased to have found a reputable trustworthy electrician read more

Great customer service and work that was done with high integrity all around. Felt like working with vendors from years ago when they cared about the work they did more than just making a $. I would tell anyone to give them a try you won't be disappointed read more

I feel so lucky to have discovered Sergeant's Electric!! I have used their service multiple times now and they are ALWAYS communicative, honest, reasonably priced, thorough, thoughtful, and take extra steps to be sure I have all information before decisions are made to conduct work. They are also friendly, easy to work with and hardworking. The electrician Nick, who serviced our home this week, is amazing, professional, knowledgable, skilled, flexible, thorough, and friendly. I highly recommend this company and their services!!!! read more

Just a few days ago, we had Sergeant's Electric install power from our house to our newly installed lift. After 4 estimates from other electric companies, we chose Sergeant's because of the remarkably meticulous work they put into their estimate. I watched Nick and Adam as they did a thorough workup, including climbing up and into an impossibly hot, cluttered attic measuring for the power cord and planning the pathway to the lift. Just stay out of their way because, after the initial greeting at the front door, they were all business. When finished their hands-on evaluation, Nick sat down in the lanai and wrote out in longhand, a detailed estimate for the work. He patiently went over the individual items with me, and in the process, answered my questions. Asked if I had other questions. There weren't any. The whole process took about 2.5 hours! But wait! A week later, they worked a long time, even into the night, to get the lift operational. But there was an issue that couldn't be resolved that night. Thought I would have to wait a couple of weeks for their return. Guess what? I got a phone call from Nick the next day about 6:30pm. He said they were on the way, and to get my boat ready. They just finished working on another job. They showed up around 7pm, attacked the lift and finished about 9:30-10pm. Before they left, they insisted that I drive the boat onto the lift, then spent another 20 minutes working the lift up and down and going over general info about the lift. Sergeant's electric is now our first choice!! read more

Nick fixed what was broken and didn't fix what didn't need fixin. He didn't try upselling me and even fixed a couple thingies I hadn't thought of til he got here. He was on time and under budget. (He is also very smart and handsome ;-) ) read more

I dont recall how I found them (maybe on nextdoor?) but I was very happy with the whole process. the dispatcher called me right away to schedule an appt to give a quote. i was pressed for time so they were able to put me on a flexible move up list . Turns out 2 electricians freed up earlier and were able to come over ahead of time Serge and Justin were the 2 electricians who came over and they were able to complete the job right there rather than just give me a quote. they installed a ceiling fan for me. there were very professional and knowledgable. I am very happy with the job they did. read more

Very disappointed in this company. Mainly on a personal level. You see, my husband and I are both veterans and whenever there is an opportunity to support our veteran brother, we jump on it. We are both part of a brotherhood most people will never understand. We all have a passion and patriotic love for our country to the point we were willing to give our lives. So when this young man showed up with a buzz hair cut and dressed partially in military uniform, we were certain we were in the presence of another veteran brother. He stated he was never in the military and was required to represent himself this way. I find this completely disrespectful to me and everyone else who have served this great country. I "love" my country but sometimes my country doesn't love me back. Primarily because we are African Americans and for the most part people tend to view us negatively. BUT THE MILITARY ALWAYS TREATED US WITH THE UTMOST RESPECT. "HOOAH!" GO ARMY!!!! read more

Sergeant's Electric came to my house on a Sunday night for an emergency call in one hour when our house was out of power. Sgt. Nicely was the service professional that came to the house identified the issue with the main breaker. He was the best and most friendly electrician I have ever encountered.
