We've used Sergeant's Electric for a variety of services and have been very pleased with their work. Techs have been very courteous, and respectful of our property while doing good work and they show up when promised! They mounted an outside receptacle to plug in our emergency power generator and installed a circuit transfer switch in our electric panel to prevent our generator power from feeding back into the power company lines. We recently had them quote a whole house standby generator and they were honest with their recommendations, and the price was comparable to what had been quoted by a local big box store. However, because we don't have natural gas service in our area, we needed to go with a large propane gas storge tank, which our HOA restrictions required to be underground, making the whole project considerably more expensive than we could justify. We like the fact that their techs and salespeople do not work on commission, nor do they try to upsell like so many area "Do it all" service companies that offer, electrical, air-conditioning & plumbing services. What an easy and wonderful experience all around. I was getting quotes to install an EV charger in my garage. Unacceptably high estimate to raise 9 outlets from floor height to 44" after the flood. $6K to do this and replace one 40 foot run of #4 3 strand for the stove to the breaker is outrageous. I always get at least 3 estimates and the others came in under $2K for the same work. On top of that, the person they sent out tried very hard to sell me a discount program to reduce the price 10%. We called on a Friday mid morning because we didn't have any water due to the system tripping a breaker. They worked us into the schedule same day. We paid a premium for same day service but to us it was worth it. Christian arrived looking clean cut, driving a well maintained logo'd company vehicle. He was well spoken and kind. I've had Sergeant's to our house several times. Christian and Keith to install under counter LED lights in the kitchen, install a whole house surge protector, and to install an outside generator hookup with interlock kit. Eugene was here and installed a quad outlet for the water softener. Each time they explained what they recommended, what they were going to do & how & what the cost was. Are they the cheapest? I have no idea. What I do know is that they always are on time, they're efficient, courteous, and knowledgeable, they don't leave a mess, and I feel totally comfortable having them in our home. You honestly can't go wrong with Sergeant's. I forgot to add that when Christian was here the first time he noticed that my (1 year old house) breaker panel could potentially be on a safety recall. Just a few days ago, we had Sergeant's Electric install power from our house to our newly installed lift. After 4 estimates from other electric companies, we chose Sergeant's because of the remarkably meticulous work they put into their estimate. I watched Nick and Adam as they did a thorough workup, including climbing up and into an impossibly hot, cluttered attic measuring for the power cord and planning the pathway to the lift. Just stay out of their way because, after the initial greeting at the front door, they were all business. When finished their hands-on evaluation, Nick sat down in the lanai and wrote out in longhand, a detailed estimate for the work. He patiently went over the individual items with me, and in the process, answered my questions. Asked if I had other questions. There weren't any. The whole process took about 2.5 hours! But wait! A week later, they worked a long time, even into the night, to get the lift operational. But there was an issue that couldn't be resolved that night. Thought I would have to wait a couple of weeks for their return. Guess what? I got a phone call from Nick the next day about 6:30pm. He said they were on the way, and to get my boat ready. They just finished working on another job. They showed up around 7pm, attacked the lift and finished about 9:30-10pm. Before they left, they insisted that I drive the boat onto the lift, then spent another 20 minutes working the lift up and down and going over general info about the lift. Turns out 2 electricians freed up earlier and were able to come over ahead of time Serge and Justin were the 2 electricians who came over and they were able to complete the job right there rather than just give me a quote. they installed a ceiling fan for me. there were very professional and knowledgable. Very disappointed in this company. Mainly on a personal level. You see, my husband and I are both veterans and whenever there is an opportunity to support our veteran brother, we jump on it. We are both part of a brotherhood most people will never understand. We all have a passion and patriotic love for our country to the point we were willing to give our lives. So when this young man showed up with a buzz hair cut and dressed partially in military uniform, we were certain we were in the presence of another veteran brother. He stated he was never in the military and was required to represent himself this way. I find this completely disrespectful to me and everyone else who have served this great country. I "love" my country but sometimes my country doesn't love me back. Primarily because we are African Americans and for the most part people tend to view us negatively. I needed to get some motion sensor lighting around the house, Ring motion light camera, some 110v plugs replaced and some can lights that were 18' high switched out to a lower wattage.
