My vehicle was perfectly fine when I arrived for my appointment at 9am. Joe disrespected me as a woman, I was told I was lucky it decided to break down and refuse to start, suddenly, 5 feet in front of his bay door, He refused to give the battery a full charge or replace it as I requested. He immediately blamed the starter. He pulled every slimy trick a mechanic could. My vehicle was trapped there and I was told to call an Uber and leave. I LM at 1:30, he instead called my husband back at the very end of business day at 4:55 with "diagnoses" and quote for repair and was upset when phone was handed to me & I spoke to him even though it is my car and I am dealing with it. The very end of next day was my when my car was released to me, over 400 bucks later. He refused to hand over the starter, All this right before July 4th weekend when no one was available to look at it and confirm this supposed repair was needed. I have a new mechanic looking at it next week after he gets off vacation because now I have no idea what he did to it as it was perfectly fine when we pulled in other than those couple of cosmetic repairs I needed a quote on. Avoid this place, He preys on older people and that is why I suspect he gets all these great reviews because that is all I saw in his waiting room. I am so angry and upset I was taken advantage of. (The resulting clacking sound could indicate engine damage.) They tried to blame it on my engine burning too much oil but this has never been the case with my former garage. The person I spoke with was condescending, not believing and not at all interested in the possibility that I could have a valid opinion. Won't go back. I said "mixed proficiency" because I'd gone to them once in the past and it was fine - that wasn't an oil change, however. I'm very glad I was able to go back to my former garage and that I have that experience for comparison. I would say that they are on the defensive about their work, also that they have a greedy mentality, charging for "loaner" cars. Customer value is number 1 and along with that, valuing what your customer has to say about their experience.

So, obviously, I've kind of neglected my vehicle. It turns out I didn't need a rotary disk (yay!), but did need everything else less the transmission work. Instead, I needed wiring replacement. Whaaaat?? Yeah having a house in the country = rats. Had no idea they'd chew through wires. Anyway, initially, I was concerned that everything wouldn't be repairable; if it was, it wouldn't be inexpensive / cheap; and, of course, whether or not could we expect a short turnaround time for the repairs. Cory at Wrench Works was AWESOME! They repaired and replaced everything and for much less than I could have imagined. And the turnaround time was reasonable - re-wiring?! That couldn't have been an easy or quick fix?! I'm so thankful my husband found this shop. We will definitely be coming back.

I do not recommend Bobs auto repair to anyone, they recently lied, said That i needed all new brakes. I took it to another shop for a second opinion and the brake measurements are safe / fine and passed inspection. Bobs also failed to oil one of the pins on our Ford F150 when they replaced the brakes. This made one side of the rear brake wear out entirely in under 3000 miles and led to needing a full set of brakes!! Bobs knew the right thing to do- they did it on one side. This business tried to do repairs on my car that I did not need, and they did faulty repairs causing hundreds of dollars of unnecessary spending on our truck. We took both vehicles about 2 miles away, to Monro on York Road and their team was AWESOME, honest and reasonable.
