I worked here for about a year and let me tell you that it was the most horrible time of my life. I…read morewas constantly put down by one of the managers who acted like she was better than everybody else. She would talk about everybody's business very loudly so everybody could hear. She is the reason I know one of my coworkers had to be institutionalized. She would threaten my job and raises over giving too many sauces or a little too much ice-cream or hot fudge on the sundaes. She told me that if I were to try to sue McDonalds I would lose because McDonalds is a multibillion-dollar cooperation. It honestly felt like she was targeting me because if somebody did something wrong, they wouldn't have any repercussions but if I did something bad, I would get degraded. She would degrade other managers in front of me and when I told her it made me uncomfortable, she would continue doing it and told me that it was the truth. I had to explain to a coworker that using a fry container that fell ON THE GROUND was unusable. I would go into more detail but I'm trying to keep this anonymous. I hope that everyone who reads this realizes Mcdonalds does NOT care about you and is an evil corporation.

When I walked into this Five Guys location, I was greeted warmly with "Hello, welcome to Five…read moreGuys," which was a great start. My order was taken quickly, and the food was prepared fast and tasted fresh. Most of the staff I encountered were pleasant and professional. Unfortunately, I did have a negative experience with one employee that really stood out. While I was waiting and leaning on a table, a staff member came around spraying and wiping tables nearby. Instead of waiting until I had moved or politely asking me to step aside so he could clean, he started spraying and wiping the very table I was leaning on--without saying "excuse me," "sir, could you move," or offering any kind of courtesy. As a customer, that came across as rude and unprofessional. Simple communication and respect go a long way, and in this case, there was none. Even after I moved and looked at him, he didn't acknowledge me or offer any apology. It left me feeling as though the action was dismissive, if not deliberately disrespectful. To be clear, the rest of the team did a good job and the food itself was up to Five Guys standards. But this one interaction left a negative impression on my visit. I hope management will address this so that all customers are treated with the same level of courtesy and respect that's expected in customer service.

If you're craving disappointment and frustration, look no further than Lavallette McDonald's. I…read morewish I could give it 0 stars, but alas, the system won't let me. First off, I've never seen a McDonald's that can't even get a simple order right. I asked for a plain burger and got a soggy mess covered in ketchup and mustard, which I didn't ask for. When I politely asked for it to be remade, the staff looked at me like I was asking for a personal favor. There was zero urgency, and I was treated like I was inconveniencing them by ordering food. If I could rate the attitude, it'd be a solid minus 5 stars. Then there's the cleanliness--let's just say it's a health code violation waiting to happen. The tables were sticky, the floor had spilled drink all over it, and the bathroom? Don't even get me started. It looked like it hadn't been cleaned in days. Oh, and the speed? Don't even think about it. I waited over 15 minutes for a simple meal during a time when there was barely anyone in the restaurant. If you want fast food, this is definitely not the place. All in all, Lavallette McDonald's is a joke. You're better off making the trip to the next town over if you actually want decent food, service, and cleanliness. Avoid at all costs unless you want to test your patience and question your life choices.
