Excellent food, excellent staff, and excellent service with a smile. Must try the Stuff Shirt if you specialty burgers.

this place is absolutely horrid inside. This is the first time I've ever ventured into the restaurant after walking two steps inside after noticing the doorhandles are completely covered in black grime, and the floors are sticky outside as you work your way inside disgusting filth continues on, but it gets much worse. from trash in the work areas and not one employee carrying the whole place was absolutely disgusting. I have never seen a restaurant as bad as this shame on the owners and shame on the employees they all get a F- the part that I'm confused on is how is this restaurant still allowed to serve to the public and why is the health Department has not shut them down someone needs to do an investigation regards to the health department and find out why this business is still operating at all in these conditions and as for the employees be better and do better, I will never be back to this location ever again.

Thank you Shake Shoppe for creating the BEST pumpkin milkshake ever!!! My husband and I are traveling from North Carolina to Indiana. We past the Shake Shoppe on our way to the gas station. The signage read "Pumpkin Milkshakes" I nearly jumped out the car! No joke!! I've never heard of this establishment before. As a food blogger my curiosity got the best of me. I have a fine appreciation for local moms and pop shops! This restaurant is clean, the staff is nice, and the prices are inexpensive! The menu offers a wide selection of items from Sandwiches and hotdogs to soups, and more. I purchased a medium pumpkin milkshake for $2.95!!!! Seriously, I would've paid at least $6 to $8 for this in Charlotte, NC. This milkshake taste like Fall! So delish! Thank you Shake Shoppe!

Shake Shoppe is a family-owned and -operated restaurant out in Gallipolis. This place has been around since 1951, and offers an extensive menu of sandwiches, salads, soups, sides, and, of course, ice cream and shakes. I was able to try out the Stuftshirt (which was a big burger with mayo, lettuce, tomato, pickles, and onions, topped with a sesame-seeded bun; I just wished the bread was more fresh and more soft; this was a pretty good-tasting burger, though!); a Spicy Chicken sandwich (a thin fried chicken patty, this was not spicy at all and was not tasty); a Carolina Burger (a hamburger topped with 'hot dog sauce,' which is more like a beefy chili sauce concoction that is more on the salty side; I think the sauce is meant to be on fries rather than on burgers); Spicy Pickles (the batter used for all their fried sides reminds of the ones found on sweet & sour pork at Chinese restaurants; battered and fried, these were not spicy); Fried Mushrooms (large button mushrooms and battered); Fried Cheese (you can choose mozzarella, pepperoni, hot pepper, jalapeno mozzarella, broccoli, or mac and cheese; I opted for the pepperoni and the mac and cheese; the pepperoni version tasted like cream cheese mixed with bacon bits; it just didn't go well with the fried batter; the mac and cheese bites were quite delicious, however, as the mac and cheese was perfect made with elbow noodles, and cheesy in its own right; all the fried sides came with a side of ranch sauce); hand-dipped Cookies n' Cream in a cone (this ice cream was quite tasty, and even more phenomenal with the thin chocolate exterior from being dipped! Yum!); and, one of their limited specials - an Apple Cider Slush (tasted exactly like how it sounds - great apple cider in a slushee form! I really enjoyed this!). The staff here were super friendly, and there were plenty of seats to enjoy your food. They also have a drive-thru window where you actually order at the window and wait for your food to be cooked-to-order. Cute little local place to stop by if you're in the Gallipolis area! +limited edition Apple Cider Slush :D +hand-dipped Cookies n' Cream in a cone :D +fried mac and cheese bites :D +Stuftshirt burger (ask for fresh buns!) +hot dog sauce! +friendly staff! +drive-thru available

The food was excellent, and the atmosphere warm and inviting. While the service left some room for improvement, it was ultimately satisfactory and didn't detract significantly from the evening. We started with their signature Pepperoni Rolls--stuffed with pepperoni, ricotta, and mozzarella, seasoned with garlic salt, then wrapped and topped with melted butter and parmesan cheese. They were absolutely delicious, and perfectly enjoyable with or without the accompanying marinara sauce. We also tried the Wild & Wonderful Wings (traditional, mild sauce), which both the kids and I found to be flavorful and well-balanced. The "Big Azz Pretzel" lived up to its name in size, and our party of six had no trouble finishing it. My husband opted for the Atomic Andi Burger, featuring jalapeño cream cheese, which he thoroughly enjoyed (he nearly inhaled it); I sampled a bite and found it to be rich and flavorful. The kids ordered off the children's menu: one had a cheese quesadilla--though we wished it came with a side of salsa or sour cream--and another had the Steak Tips with fries, which were a hit, especially when paired with A1 Steak Sauce. Each meal came with a generous serving of thick-cut fries. All in all, a delightful meal worth the drive. We'll definitely be returning.
