Stopped in for lunch. I ordered onion rings and a hotdog bun w/chili & slaw. Everything was hot and fresh. Loved how the bun was toasted. The only negative I can say was they put a ton of slaw on my bun and only put a little chili on top of the slaw. The sauce served with the onion rings has a very strong mustard taste. Cute establishment. Bright and clean. 1950- ish decor. Look, this is a FAFO establishment. If you didn't come there to do some gut busting eating , stay home. Honest! This lil place is for the big eaters. Food was hot and tasty. Some would care for a lil less salt in the burger and a minute or so longer in the fryer for the onion rings but this place is a banger. Cute looking place so we stopped in to try it. Only four tables had patrons, we were the fifth. Our order was taken fairly quickly and our drinks brought out. We found it odd that the drinks had no ice and in to go cups. Fast forward 30 minutes later and we still don't have our food. All we ordered was ravioli and tortellini. We asked how much longer it would be and they said ten more minutes. At that point, we got up and said we will just pay for the drinks and leave. Then they said our food was about to come out and we were like really!? And then they said, well another five minutes. It was actually quite comical. I offered to pay for our sodas and then we left. there are not a lot of dining establishments that I frequent... but I will say I come here WEEKLY. the food is SPECTACULAR and the prices are very fair for the immense portions they give. I highly recommend the Cajun chicken pasta and Philly steak sandwich. they also have gotten new desserts that are so good! read more

Don't waste your time with this restaurant. We waited and hour and never got our very simple order of mozzarella sticks, Phili stake and a cajun pasta dish. First they lost our order 30 minutes in. Then they proceeded to prioritize every other party that came in with orders similar to ours. After another half hour the inept 'Manager' finally says she is sorry for the hold up. Yet still no food. If I could do zero stars, I would! We were excited to try the Red Line Diner. We were under the impression this was owned and operated by the same people who operate Bellissimo's in Belle, WV. Placed our order using the Slice app which is what came up when we started to place a pick-up order. My husband ordered a pizza, and I ordered the Tour of Italy, with a garden salad with Greek dressing. We also ordered the garlic knots. Not a good experience !!! The app told us what time it would be ready. When my husband got there, it wasn't ready, and the girl told him to go wait in his vehicle and she would text him when it was ready. About 25 minutes later, he goes back inside and the order is sitting there, no idea for how long. My husband tells her she was supposed to text him when it was ready. She said she did. My husband told her, no you did not, would you like to see my phone? She rolls her eyes, and my husband calls her out on it, and she denies she rolled her eyes. He said there was a man who may have been a manager who witnessed all this and said not a word! So, I start to eat my salad, and discover it is a Greek salad, with black olives and feta cheese, neither of which I like, hence the "garden salad! I ordered a garden salad with Greek dressing!!! Now for the Tour of Italy. Except for one small bite of the lasagna portion of the tour, what is in the picture is the extent of the lasagna, green/brownish noodles and all! No, the noodles weren't burnt, they were still soft. And because he was texted when the order was ready, the pizza was cold when he got home, even tho we only live about 10 minutes from the restaurant. Thank goodness for the garlic knots. Redline always has Great quick grill food! The employees are always nice. The only problem was the fact that they closed right after lunch time around 1/2pm. I often wanted Redline for dinner, but could never get it lt.......Well NOW there are new Owners and I've seen a lot more traffic in the diner and new later hours!!! I'm so excited about this! Redline has been around forever and I hope it plans to stay around! It's the hot spot for lunch! They have plenty of parking, spots for trucks, right off the St Albans exit, right beside 7-11 so if you're traveling you can eat, gas up, and get back on the road quick because there's never any traffic issues around this location! read more

The food is good. However the service is not. We had a party of 4 and our food did not come out all together. In fact everyone was finished by the time mine arrived! The first plate the waitress brought me wasn't my food at all but someone else's. When I asked for green onions for our bacon cheddar fries I was brought green peppers. Not the waitresses fault as I heard her ask for green onions. There were other issues but those were the main ones. When we were asked by the owner/manager how everything was, and I told him, he became defensive. He was very polite but defensive. Wife had Greek pizza and I had baked spaghetti. We shared some fried mushrooms. We were pleased with everything we had. The cook let us try his dinner (eggplant with meat sauce) which i believe we will order next time. No frills but very good. Also portions were large enough that wife has lunch for tomorrow. We have gotten take out from here several times. Everything has always been hot and delicious. The wings are especially good! My kids love the pizza and the hot ham and cheese sub is great too! We ordered thru door dash and an error occurred with pricing and they were kind enough to call us and let us know we had been overcharged (thru an error with the app) and make sure we knew that the change was being sent with the driver. Stopped here today on a return trip to Ohio and got a couple of hot dogs with everything on them. I want to tell you, these were two of the best hot dogs I have had in my 65 years of dining, and I've eaten a lot of hot dogs. They advertise their hamburgers to be the best in the area, but I can't imagine them being any better then their dogs. Give this little diner a try. Trust me, I'll be making a special trip when I'm back in this area to try that hamburger and another of their hotdogs! Great job Red Line Diner! My husband and I stopped in for a quick dinner and the first thing is that it was extremely cold and made it very uncomfortable. Once someone came to our table to take our order they may have had one other table and a few people waiting on take out. One other table came in and that was it but it took a few minutes for someone to approach the table and get our order, we both order salads with chicken nothing to hard. The food took a little longer then you would think for salads and once it came out it was on paper plates with flimsy plastic utensils. We asked the girl that was waiting on us why it was so cold and she said she wanted know that also. And never said anything else about it. We ate our food and when we went to pay she told us that they did not have coin change. I did not care about the coins I was just ready to go outside where it was 47 degrees but warmer than it was inside the restaurant. So this was a one and done place for us. read more

The food is great. I had the Philly Burger with fries and my mom got the chicken sandwich with onion rings. My sandwich was so fresh the cheese wasn't even completely melted! It was great. But why not three stars you ask? Well..service was good. The server made sure we had everything we needed, but-she was chatty. She continued to talk and talk nearly the whole time we were eating! Keep in mind they've talked what-three times at the most. Basically complaining to my mom about how the church she occasionally goes to(that my mom regularly attends as well) almost as if she was blaming her for the church not paying her electric bill..? She was like, telling her entire life story to my mom. Although she oddly enough never payed me any mind except to refill my water and give me a hug and a kiss on the cheek before we left, which made me highly Uncomfortable as i do not like hugs. At all. She was basically the walking talking definition of TMI. Probably won't be going back unless its to get something to go, as i'd like to get food from there again, as they're going out of business soon, which makes me saddened, as this is somewhere i have a few fond childhood memories from that place. The server projecting all her problems kind of ruined it, though. As i only wanted a nice lunch trip with my mom and talk to her, since she's been so busy.
