When I arrived I asked if they had their cheese pulls and they said they didn't do that here. So okay that's fine I guess, so I ordered a burrito and the rice tasted like lime rice from Walmart. It was so nasty and the steak on it was so dry. The Queso tasted watered down and disgusting. The only thing that was slightly good was the guacamole and chips. The drinks were sour and nasty and when I say a first impression is supposed to be good, it wasn't. I was honestly disappointed in this. Would not eat here again. read more

Chipotle Mexican Grill - Double chicken? Lmao I say not. This is pitiful. - Mexican Near Me - Barboursville, West Virginia

I've never seen a place work so hard at losing its customers. The food here is the same as any Chipotle...when they have it. It is a frequent occurrence to see a sign on the door warning you that they're out of something major. Chipotle is a greedy bunch who upcharge for everything. I once asked for more cheese--you know--that cheap mozzarella cheese they pretend is cheddar. The server threw a few more strands on it. I told them I wanted more than that and I was told that would cost extra, as if it were guacamole. And for some reason, this location cannot keep workers. This is not a problem for any of the many other restaurants in the mall complex--inside or outside the mall. It is also common to see a sign on their door telling you to use the app because they are short on workers and can't allow walk ins. After months away because of the constant up charging, I decided to give this Chipotle another chance. There was yet another sign on the door informing us they were short handed and to use the app again. I tried and waited in the parking lot for an approval code. Tired of waiting, I placed an order at the always functioning Qdoba in the mall, where they also NEVER up charge. As I finished placing the order, Chipotle's approval code came after a ten minute wait. Too late! And I mean completely too late. Done with Chipotle and now a devoted Qdoba fan. Food was good! Service was fast even though they were beyond busy! They had outside seating which was a nice change!

After driving most of the day we decided to stop at this chipotle even after reading all the bad reviews. We pulled up and there was a sign on the door "on-line orders only due to staffing shortages". For our entertainment we read reviews of chipotle as we passed by cities. It's obvious to us that Chipotle corporations doesn't take the reviews seriously. The complaints were pretty consistent as we laughed and drove past one chipotle after another. It's clear that chipotle doesn't have a problem raising their menu prices while customer service and food quality decline. Chipotle, if you're going to raise your menu prices you definitely should also raise your employee wages. Maybe you wouldn't have a shortage and maybe we wouldn't need to go someplace else to eat! read more

5/22/23 I come to this location often. Have never had a bad experience. Until today. I get the same thing every time. Chicken burrito, side of guac, side of mild and then medium. I ask for the mild and medium on the side for the burrito because I am being considerate to whoever had to roll that bad boy, so they wouldn't have to roll a huge burrito, and also so when I got home, it wouldn't make a mess everywhere, because it always falls apart when I asked for the extra mild and medium in the past. Easy solution: just get it on the side; it not only spares the employee who has to roll, but me when I get it home. Win win. Today however, the total was almost $4 more than usual. I asked why, the manager said they charge for sides. I've been going to chipotle for 15 years and I've never once been charged for a side, unless it was guac. She said this wasn't a new thing. Now onto the manager: not professional nor pleasant. When I asked the cashier why it was that price, she looked at him as she was rolling my burrito and said "what have you done now?" In an exasperated tone and an exhausted look on her face. It even made ME uncomfortable. Not a very good way to encourage your employees to be confident in themselves, and do their job as efficiently and accurately as possible. I asked for a very tiny amount of sour cream on my burrito, the manager added a large amount.... I still said nothing because I can just deal with it. But with the nasty attitude she had towards her own people, and the way she handled the entire situation with me not knowing they charge sides (when again, I come there often, and not a single time have I ever been charged unless it is guac which I'll always pay extra for!) I decided to make a yelp account to send this in. I am not a nasty or rude person, but that was seriously the worst interaction I've ever had at a chipotle. I always tip and usually very well, but managers don't have to worry about that, as they get none of it. Today I didn't tip and it truly hurt my heart not to. But I was upset with the service being given but the employees didn't deserve that. So to them, I am sorry. She's not only trash to her team but she's not giving her best face to customers for her team to make more on the hour. A damn disgrace. Perhaps she needs more training on how to be professional and pleasant, or just a new job. Either way, I won't be coming back to this location, and that sucks. Been eating here with my wife while we're at the Walmart academy and the food is very good, fast service, and the facility is rather clean. Overall the staff are all very polite and work quickly to get you your food. They keep the floors well swept and the bathrooms in nice condition. Solid place to grab a quick lunch or dinner. read more

This is the first time since Chipotle's opened anywhere that I have been truly dissatisfied with the food. We each had bowls. The chicken was undercooked and under seasoned. Portions we're meager compared to usual. My wife and I both threw the majority of our bowls away... I don't know what's happening to this chain that used to be almost a staple diet for us:-( read more

Food: generally sub-par ingredients. I got the steak, and it was obviously very cheap cuts of meat. Service: Fine, a bit brusque. Price: Over-priced. Atmosphere: Feels a bit like eating in a small warehouse. I know a lot of people like it, so that's fine. For me, I was not pleased with the food, especially the meat. Chipotle located off exit 20 I think near Barboursville . Yes this is the worst Chipotle I have been to in my life. It is filthy! The floor was covered with food. Not one table was clean, all with food particles all over them. I am sure the owners would be extremely upset if they saw the condition of this restaurant. Definitely giving Chipotle a bad rep. Also the women's bathroom was not clean and had not a shred of toilet paper. It will be a long time until I visit another one. Please help this crew improve their restaurant!!! read more

I was craving chipotle on the way to Cincinnati and I was happy to find that there was one right off my favorite exit.... Barboursville! There was no line, workers were very friendly, fast, and didn't skimp on ingredients. The restaurant was clean and so was the bathroom. Best chipotle experience ever! read more

I know Chipotle has been in the news for some bad things lately, but this location is EXCELLENT!!! They accommodate my child's food allergy (dairy/soy), Food is always fresh, always help with any questions/suggestions. I enjoy sitting at this place with my family, or getting it to go. Staff is friendly and they have something for everyone in my family. I do like that they are expanding their menu, but I hope it doesn't come at a cost (less fresh food/less training for staff/lower customer service[expectation]). The food makes me sick every single time I eat there :( I'm not sure what it is they cook with or what but I have never been able to stomach it. But the service is good and quick. The staff here are always incredibly friendly and nice. Even if you have an extra minute wait on your food you'll be offered a free drink or something. Food is usually always better here than downtown. Only iffy thing- which seems to be a chipotle issue as a whole - is you never know when you'll get good veggies. read more

The first time I had Chipotle was in California and I found that it was good, not great. This one made me change my tune. You can see them make your food. It is not that expensive. They use higher quality ingredients when compared to Taco Bell. They use organic ingredients as well, which is a nice plus. The food is far more filling than you will find at Taco Bells. The workers gave me ample ingredients and were accommodating. read more
