So, my family and I went to Wendy's before going to the movies. We ordered at the kiosk and made our way to the drink machine (had no ice) , which was near another door where there was a giant water puddle. We did see two childen slip and land right on their bottoms. The employees knew about it and did nothing...they didn't care.
My family all got their orders but not me. I ordered the Cobb Salad. My son asked the status and they said the chicken was cooking. I sat and waited, telling people to be careful as they walked in the door with the giant puddle. My son who works in a grocery mention the big puddle at the door and got no response from the staff. Nothing!
Then an employee yelled, "who got the Cobb Salad?, despite my name being on the order ticket. I went up and she said they only had these salads as she shows me two salad packs. I had no idea what they were...condensation covering the plastic container. My family had finished eating their meals by this time.
I said I wanted to cancel my order. She yelled at some fella working the drive-thru about why they had no Cobb Salad and give "that lady" a refund. He came over and ask for my credit card. I went back to my table, got my credit card, went back to the counter; didn't take me more than thirty seconds and he's filling french fry bags, AND CONTINUES to fill french fry bags while I am standing there....waiting. He finally turns to counter, sees me and saunters over and take my card....didn't say a thing. He processes my refund and saunters back and gives me tge receipt and my credit card. Not ONE word. No apology, no nothing.
Now as I was sitting and waiting for my order, watching the activity behind the counter, there was a hamburger wrapper on the floor in the prep area and all four employees walked on znd over the wrapper several times...not bithering to pick it up.
Also, the bathroom had a big puddle of water as well...not near the toilet or the sink.
This used to be a good Wendy's, but not any more. The staff doesn't care about consumer safety, nor any inconvenience they cause by their low inventory of products... no chocolate frosties, only strawberry.
If this is the kind of employees that $15.00 an hour attracts, I and my family will not be coming back. I hope the franchise owner sees this and has good insurance just in case someone slips on the water and really hurts themselves. Well, maybe not because there is a point people just won't put up with rude employees, nasty stores and no product. Clientelle are the ones who provide that $15.00 an hour salary. read more
