The people who were in line before me told me that they have been waiting for 15 min. So I peeked my head and asked if we're going to be helped. This is simply not a customer service-centered restaurant. The employees taking drive-thru orders are always very short perhaps they're intercom systems needs fine-tuning or replacement. I had to keep repeating my order as asked and had to repeat my own order throughout the whole discombobulating experience. Always have them restate your order to catch any discrepancies. This creates a lot of frustration among drive-thru customers because of slow speed and inefficiency. Some drive thru customers who patiently wait too long end up leaving or going elsewhere. If you decide to dine-in, the employees are not very friendly and seldom do they acknowledge their customers. read more

I've eaten here maybe 50 times. I eat it because I love the honey mustard on the grilled chicken sandwich and they're the closest Wendy's to my house or I have to drive all the way to Ballard (which I've actually done to avoid this place. And the Ballard location is not fantastic, either). If they didn't have that specific sandwich I would never eat here again. They almost always get at least one item wrong. The drive through takes FOREVER. I timed it one day that was particularly bad, it took over 6 minutes to move one car length. And my biggest gripe-the fries. They don't fill the fries up about 90% of the time. You're sometimes missing half your fries! I attached a picture of my junior fry I got today. May 6th, 2017 - Approximately 7:00 pm Items ordered: 1 4 for $4 (including 4 chicken nuggets, 1 order of baconator french fries, 1 frosty, 1 jr. bacon) 1 double cheese deluxe Pro: Speed, promptness to respond to order request, time from order to delivery was quick. Con: Incompleteness, lack of voluntary customer service once the issue was brought to their attention. Summary: Upon arriving at this location I initially ordered 3 items off the menu, before modifying my order exercising the 4 for $4 promotion, before the drive-thru operator offered to replace my previously requested baconator fries into the promotion. Arriving at the drive-thru window I provide payment and less than 5 minutes later I was handed the menu items requested. Leaving the area, I proceeded to check the contents of the bag, before turning around. The order of a double cheeseburger was missing. Arriving back that the drive-thru, less than 10 minutes after leaving I reminded the same drive-thru operator that I discovered an omission. The operator having confirmed the item missing handed me a sandwich shortly after. Bothered by the necessity to return for the missing item, I suggested the operator provide a small fry to make up for the oversight. Needless to say his body language was not happy about having to fulfill my request. Having left I discovered the requested sandwich was not correct but at this point I gave up and didn't want to return a second time. They don't even deserve this star. I wish I could rate them zero stars. I like Wendy's in general. I really like their 99 cent menu. It is a great value. Their chicken nuggets with honey mustard sauce taste like fried mushrooms to me. I also like that I can get a cup of chili on a cold winter day. Or a nice baked potato when I have a craving for one. So anyway this is not really a review of Wendy's. Instead this is a review of this particular Wendy's service. Their service in short has been atrocious lately. Or at least their drive-thru service. I am assuming that service inside has been just as bad. I have lived near this Wendy's for about 2 1/2 years and maybe come here once every couple of months when I have one of the above cravings. I have never had an issue with them in any way. Then recently during the hectic holiday season when time, and money are both short my husband and I ended up visiting this store twice in a few weeks. Both times they have completely screwed up our order. The first time we came here (7pm on a Friday night) it took them 5 minutes to acknowledge we were in the drive-thru even though we had pulled up and waited probably a minutes while the car in front of us ordered. When the drive thru person finally took our order we could hear him laughing and joking with his co-workers as he took our order. The jokes didn't end there. When we pulled up we waited for awhile longer before someone opened the window and started handing us our food. Again with the laughing and the distracted serves. They almost gave us the order from the car behind us. Then they asked what we ordered again and searched around for a few moments before giving it to us. Then they also forgot our drink and had to ask for it. We should have checked our food at the point to make sure we got what we ordered. But we just wanted to go home. When we got there we discovered they forgot our fries. Thinking this was all a fluke we went back a few weeks later. The second time was just like the first time. People joking and fooling around not paying attention to what they were doing. It was like deja vu. This time we check our order and again they forgot the fries. When we went in they weren't very apologetic when they handed them over. At the same time there was another customer up at the counter complaining that her baked potato was awful. We should have taken a clue and checked ours too. But we didn't. After all the fuss of getting our fries we just wanted to go home and eat and rest. When we got home the baked potato we ordered was old, dried out and just awful. The fries were cold likely from just sitting around as we pleaded to get them. But the worst thing of all. They didn't give my husband the correct sandwich he had ordered. I really don't see ourselves coming back to this Wendy's. Or if we do we will seriously look at the quality of the food they give us. read more

Despite the low rating; I went here anyway, because I was in the mood for a junior burger. Also, tried a Crispy Chicken 1.19 for myself and a chicken sandwich combo for the wife. Wow! Maybe I should have bought some lotto tickets, because everything was good (even the soda which is slightly flat due to lack of syrup at any fast food joint I go to.) My wife even had everything positive to say about this Wendy's experience. Presentation was nice. You can tell they just didn't literally 'throw' it together. ALL the vegetables were crisp. And it was even ergonomically stacked correctly in the bag. I do not go normally go to Wendy's nor do I visit the Lake City area often, but I've been to the Federal Way, Bellevue, and Kirkland locations and the Lake City Location is tops. I was craving chicken nuggets, so I went to my local Wendy's. It has been a couple years since I had Wendy's so it was odd that the craving came back suddenly. But I really love chicken nuggets. Really, so I have been denying myself for too long! Upon pulling up to the drive-thru, their menu now incorporates nutritional information (a range of calories, due to whether it was a meal or upgraded meal, I suppose). NOOOOOOOOOO, I don't need to know that my chicken nuggets were just as bad (sometimes worse) than a sandwich/burger there. NOOOOOOOOOO. So I decided to buy one 5pc nugget, rather than...let's just say, I wanted to buy more than one of those. :P I bought a couple burgers and an order of fries. Their value menu (99c) has changed since I was there last and seems predominantly burger-oriented with a few other options (the nuggets were no longer 99c, but my total was as if it was 99c still?). The wait was a few minutes and when it was my turn, the nuggets were just finishing up. I opted to wait (they asked for a replacement item, but I didn't really want anything else). The nuggets were nice, crispy and fresh. Sweet and sour sauce all the way! Downside, I came home and didn't get my side of fries, but an extra burger of some kind. Oh well. I forgot to ask for no mayo too, but luckily the sandwiches I did order, I was able to swap the bun around and we had a quick late night dinner. I don't frequent this location that often, only if I am in the area. I haven't had any problems witht them messing up my order yet and I am hoping that doesn't change. There really isn't anything bad I can say about this place since it is fast food and you pay for what you get. Since I live off the 99 cent menu I'm not expecting the best burger I have ever had. I just want a good cheap burger that will satisfy my stomach. I mainly stick with the drive thru and they always seem to be really fast in getting me my order. There have only been a few instances where I have gone inside to eat. Everytime being a good one. They take my order promptly and within a couple of minutes they have my order ready, unless they are busy that day, then I don't mind waiting a little longer. The workers do lack on keeping the tables clean which gets annoying when I have to wipe it down or ask for someone to come clean it off. I am disappointed, even for a fast good place they were awful. The worker in the window rushed me with my order and snapped at me over the intercom. They had left out my chicken nuggets which I told them, as well as the sauces. They handed me the nuggets and forgot the sauces AGAIN. The food usually isn't bad, as long as they don't mess up your order, which happens a lot more often than it should. The persistent problem, though, seems to be lack of drive-thru efficiency. I ended up being in line 22 minutes the other night, for one burger! Yet no mention of that, let alone an apology, when I finally reached the window to pay. They seemed to be staffed inside, so what was the problem? There's almost no walk-in traffic at this location. Wendy's Corporate, are you listening? Wendy's used to be such a quality operation. What does it take to instill a sense of urgency, efficiency, service, and accuracy to the staff here? WORST WENDY'S I HAVE EVER BEEN TO! I have been to this store several times over the past decade or so...and hands down it is the most pathetic fast food experience I've ever had. I recently went there 3 times over the last couple of weeks via the drive-thru and I kid you not...something went wrong EVERY time. First, they left something off my sandwich, with the added bonus of no napkins in the bag. Next time they left something ELSE off the exact SAME sandwich. Lastly (I stupidly gave them ONE more chance) the fish patty was obviously stale and dried up inside. To top it off, the girl that works in the drive-thru at this location (all my recent visits were on weeknights around 5:30pm) is not friendly or helpful at all. She does not smile or greet you at the window. She speaks way too softly to be heard at the drive-thru menu board and gets annoyed if you ask her to repeat herself. The food here is always consistently at least pretty-good; nothing out of the ordinary, but that's what you want with fast food. However, during my last visit, I was curious about the pulled pork and inquired how spicy it was. They explained there are different levels, but I didn't have an objective baseline. As if reading my mind, the manager (I think) stepped out and have me a tiny cup of the sauce with some complimentary fries so I could try it out. This is the closest Wendy's to my house, the next closest being the Rainier Avenue location. I've been going here somewhat weekly for awhile now. The walkway is a little narrow up to the door. Inside it resembles the interior of the Wendy's of my childhood, but I miss the decor of late nineteenth century advertisement examples. I stopped ordering the fish sandwich after three tries because it was always dry and/or overcooked, and they kept not putting enough tartar sauce on it. Just like with every other fast food place, it seems like the burgers get tinier and less substantial as time goes on. Hamburgers seem dry and bready. I really love that Wendy's is now offering reasonably-priced, delicious salads. My favorite is the Apple Pecan Chicken Salad. I was upset to not be given dressing and other salad toppings with my salad once. I complained on the Wendy's corporate website to no avail. I give this location three stars, which is one more than a place like this would usually get, for the friendly staff and the healthy, affordable salads.. read more

First off, it's Wendy's. I do like some of their food, but I don't usually go here very often. I've been going to this location for years and it's pretty much always the same. The food is fine and orders have always been accurate, but the service is SLOW, SLOW, SLOW. It doesn't matter if it's in the drive-thru or at the counter. The service crawls along. You'd think they'd hire more staff or utilize the second cash register, but they don't. It's very frustrating. They also always argue with me when I say I want to order a Junior Frosty. I want it because it's small....that's the whole dang point. Instead they tell me that I need to buy a bigger one and do I REALLY WANT a Junior size? We pulled off to the parking slot to check the car and he came out later with our credit card in his hand.
