This is seriously the slowest drive thru I have ever been to. Every single time I come here, the wait is way longer than it should be, even when there are not many cars in line. It is clear they are understaffed. I usually only see one or two people inside trying to manage both the drive thru and the dining room, which honestly feels unfair to the employees. No one can be expected to handle everything efficiently with so little support. To make things worse, my order has been wrong almost every time I have visited. Whether it is missing items or something completely different than what I asked for, it is super frustrating, especially after waiting so long. This is in the corner of Capitol Expressway & Aborn. I have not been here in a while. Came as a storm was starting, so there was no line in the drive through. They have the best value meals! I got a chicken sandwich, 4 chicken nuggets, fries & a drink for $6. The fries & drink were small & I was expecting the half pack of fries & drink like you get with happy meals. Order number 259 we paid 36.12 the kiosk said proceed to the counter for receipt!!! When our order arrived we had the two sandwich's with the combo just not the separate sandwich!! The server handed us the Receipt and said it's not on there !! I waited a long time for my order at the window and when I got home 5 minutes away we discovered both burgers were old stale and cold. Thats disgusting we could barely eat them and threw them out. Be aware of the Kiosk it will charge you more and provide a different price receipt. Once I notice the issue that it was not all adding up on how much I was charged on my card. All I wanted was what I as being charged for 2 combos and an extra burger to try. Manager Carlos didn't not want to make it right by just giving what I paid for. He has no control of it and said he won't help me. So I brought all the food and asked for a refund. Manager Carlos denied the refund. I even left it there on the counter and his respond was to tell me to contact my bank. I will never eat there again. I guess the pros of this location are self serve drink machine, and the menu is written behind the counter. The workers are also friendly. Sometimes written menus are hard to come by these days at fast food places or like at starbucks. I came here during rush hour 11:38am on weekday and my online ride took about 30 mins for 4 chicken nuggets and the son of a baconator. It was ready by 12:10pm.... I'd recommend using the kiosk inside and not placing online order on the website. They seem inundated by door dash orders that take a lot of time from the workers, they need a better system for door dash. Late night on 4th of July after Great America we decided on Wendy's . We ordered 2 baked potatoes with bacon and cheese a blue cheese pecan salad and a pretzel baconator also family size nuggets. Everything was fresh hot and delicious! Staff was super friendly also! I don't understand why the ratings are low, but they get 100 stars from us if we could give them that many stars. The good: I tried the pineapple mango drink, nuggets, strawberry frosty, chocolate frosty and spicy chicken sandwich. The drinks were good and the frosty is a classic. I like the approachable size. I enjoyed the nuggets though I still prefer McDonald's better because theirs have more flavor. I came by this place a couple of times when I didn't have time to make lunch for work. The drive-thru was always convenient. The bad: They were out of the tropical strawberry drink. The spicy chicken sandwich isn't as good as jack in the box's. This is the closest Wendy's to my home and I have always had an easy interaction with them. I've never actually eaten there though. Usually, I go through the drive-thru on my way home or on my way out towards the freeway. Turns out I must have clicked the wrong button when I started my order or I was confused because it said for dine in. I went inside and stood near the order pickup screen nobody greeted me or smiled. Time for a 2 star review. I've had a run of excellent service and food warranting 5 stars but this was not one of them. We rarely eat fast food but had a rare craving for an early evening burger and fries. The lukewarm fries were actually tolerable but the hamburger and cheeseburger were not fit to be served. The bun was actually a bit cold like it was just taken out of the fridge, the meat patty was room temp and not even warm. We tried but in the end threw away half of our uneaten burgers. That's a big deal for us - we rarely throw out food even if it's not that good. The workers were polite but kept talking loud to each other and laughing and messing around and yawning. They seemed distracted and I blame them for serving this crap. Other Yelp reviews seem to agree and it would do the owners of this franchise well to send undercover customers to assess and retrain these slackers. I was astounded that the double patty burger fries and drink meal was $14.75 after tax. Ordered the standard meal, got a tiny amount of fries, huge soda, double patty. Unfortunately the line was pretty long and I think we actually waited 45 min in line, in addition to the 10 minutes it took to drive there. We were pretty hangry by the time we got our food. 4/6/21 As I bit into my burger I found something fibrous tickling the upper roof of my mouth. Sure enough it was a curly hair, stretched out in length of about 6in. I personally shave my head short so it surely as the sky is vast and blue that it ain't mutha f'in mine. Curiously, this was the first hair I've ever found in a fast food item. So disgusted was I, that I left my burger to eat the fries, soggy as they were. Alas, the lord of the window did not see me fit to receive any packets of ketchup, as drivers of Range Rovers would be beneath his station. I do wish to congratulate this particular Wendy's as it produced the driest patty I've ever had at one of their establishments. Quite special as Wendy's is usually remarkably opposite, with plentiful juice and flavorful fat oils soaking the paper underneath. First the employees are nice at this location but this Wendy's just isn't up to par! Two single cheeseburger combos with one having a large drink comes to almost $29.00. It took 26 minutes to get our food with inside dining due to all the to go orders. Fries were cold(I asked they be remade) , burgers were cold and had very little fixings on them and they were put together so sloppy....half the burger was off the bun and there was a ton of black burnt grill gunk on the buns and in the wrapper.
