    Maple Bacon Chicken Croissant
    Kaitlynn P.

This Wendy's is the worst. I came here at 9am on a Sunday morning to order breakfast at the drive-thru (the interior was closed for ordering). My first clue that this was going to be a bad experience should have been when I pulled up to the drive-thru and they didn't even have their breakfast menu displayed. I ordered two Maple Bacon Chicken Crossaint combos and pulled around to see another car ahead of me sitting at the window. As I pulled up they had the other car pull forward so I could pay. 15 minutes pass and the car in front of me gets their food. 10 more minutes go by and nothing from my order comes out. I begin to think perhaps they forgot about my order as no one has even come to the window to apologize for the delay or have me pull forward so the car behind me can pay. I call the number listed on Google for this location and a woman answers and informs me that they got a slow start to the day and they're waiting for their grill and fryers to heat up, which makes zero sense because clearly the car that was waiting when I pulled up had gotten food. 10 more minutes pass and I finally get my food (had I not already paid $19 for two combos I would have left long ago, which several cars behind me did). I get home to find that the Maple Bacon Chicken Croissants I had ordered are just soggy croissants with a piece of the chicken that they use for their lunch/dinner chicken sandwiches. No bacon, no cheese, no sauce. I call the store back and a different girl answers and I explain that I had just waited over 30 mins in their drive-thru for food only to have them mess up my order. I ask to speak with a manager to which I'm told that I already had when I called earlier to see if they had forgotten my order. I'm offered to put my name on a list so I can get a free meal the next time I come through but honestly I haven't got the time to waste another 30+ minutes waiting for food. I could see if this was a one-time incident but my husband stopped to grab us dinner one night at this same location and waited 45 minutes for our food. Not to mention, if there's a delay keep the customer informed instead of just leaving them to sit and wonder what's going on....and then after all that time, at least get the order correct. I filed a complaint with corporate but I won't hold my breath on hearing back.

They don't have spicy chicken nuggets anymore. Other than that there was nothing wrong with my meal. Good service.

You order food at the counter, online or at the drive thru and they do have indoor seating. The menu consisted of soup, salad, deli sandwiches and spuds (baked potatoes). They offer a "choose 2" option, which is 1/2 soup, salad, sandwich or spud + another half for $10.99. There is an up charge for Premium options that are marked with a red "P". My total was $12.19 including tip for the Choose 2. I tried the 1/2 spud with chili and cheese and 1/2 grilled chicken club sandwich. Food was fresh and came out quickly. Service was Excellent! Nice decor too with big screen TV's and clean restrooms.Highly recommend McAlister's!

I did want the sauerkraut to have more tang, and I think the dressing got somewhat lost in the mix, but I still thought it was a tasty sandwich. The $12.99 price tag also came with a pickle and a small side of unremarkable but serviceable potato salad. I was pleased to see that the soda fountain came stocked with Diet Dr. Pepper. I'm accustomed to restaurants only offering diet Coke/Pepsi for zero-sugar soda options. For dessert, I got a slice of the Colossal Carrot Cake, which didn't quite live up to its name, though it was a sizeable slice. The cake was moist, and if you like carrot cake, you'll probably be happy with McAlister's. The staff was friendly, and the restaurant was clean.

If you're not familiar, the concept is classic Americana drive-up restaurant. Park your car and turn your lights on for service. Then, you can either eat in your car with the service tray over your window, or take your order to go. I get friendly service 10/10 times and I get quick service 6/10 times. Focusing on being able to serve customers faster would be my suggestion for this particular location - it has seemed especially slow in the latter half of 2025. Despite the occasional slowness, the food we get is consistently great, and the prices are shockingly good. I have especially loved the menu collaborations and specials Swenson's has been doing. The fact that area companies support each other in this way is something that truly makes Cleveland special. The Cordelia / Swenson's pimento cheeseburger with Kool-aid pickles was outstanding. The Larder / Swenson's collab was just as good - giving us loaded deli fries with pastrami spices. They've also started running a monthly whip special, which one server told me doesn't seem to be that popular, but it has kept me coming back with more frequency because I just have to try the newest iteration. So far, the Dr. Pepper whip (August) and the chocolate mint whip (December) have been my favorites.

Unfortunately no one was really interested in my headlights or the cute things that Hollywood played up. But the service was friendly and fast. Like I got my food in 5 minutes fast! I tried a galley boy and fries. The sauces are like bbq sauce and something creamy and actually probably made the whole meal. It's kind of a small squishy little burger. Ha! The fries don't feel fresh even though I'm sure they are freshly prepared. All in all the experience was ok. It's probably not joining my regular rotation but it was nice to try once.
