The food was very unusual and delicious. We had a few of the stuffed breads and the walnut salad! Try something new.

Bakery is a very misleading name for this place. Had seen it's unassuming storefront driving by and decided to stop to take a look. Instead of a spread of cookies, cakes and pastries, this restaurant has a menu of unique authentic Georgann baked meals. There are so many things on the menu I needed some explanation on just what they were. I ordered the Pkhlovani and got a freshly made and baked spinach, cheese, and herb pastry that made three meals for me. It was wonderful and a great alternative to Pizza. The staff was friendly and enthusiastic. I can't wait to try another of their meals. I was surprised that there were no other customers in the restaurant on a Friday night. Maybe they need to add "restaurant" to their name. I am glad this little restaurant with a friendly staff and great home made food makes it. Great addition to Parma Heights read more

I do not know this cuisine. I walked in because the sign said 'bakery' and I wanted to see the display case. I walked out with nothing. (Good-looking) guy was not rude but I asked for SO MUCH help. Like, 'What is this?' 'Let me look this up online' and 'Is there catering?' I was with family and not dressed in my professional clothes. I have a black card for work. Literally what I do is introduce prescribers to drugs, wine, and good food. I have no reputation in this area. This goes to show that what you wear and who you know matters! read more

I have come to this restaurant twice, in both times I was impressed. My husband and I love international food, and have been searching for a restaurant with Georgian food ever since we returned from the Ukraine last year. I was so excited to see that there was a restaurant in driving distance that had many of the dishes that we enjoyed while overseas. The restaurant is located at the end of a strip mall, and it has never been busy when we have been inside. Both times, there were two men working inside, quite possibly the owners. The first time I came with a friend and we tried the.Merguli Kachapuri and a chicken dish in cream sauce. The second time I came was with my husband. We shared Georgian lemonade, a beef soup, another Kachapuri, and the dumplings. Everything was outstanding. Prices are on par with other local restaurants. The food is homemade and tastes exactly like the food that we had in the Ukraine. If you like unique foods, or are searching for comfort food, I would highly recommend this restaurant. read more

Be very careful about ordering by phone. I ordered for example one chicken skewer but it was $16.99 and then came with 5 chunks of juicy chicken. They were on top of a tortilla with some onions. Very healthy and tasty but needed sauce and they were out of both kinds of adjika and tkemuli sauces advertised unfortunately. I ordered 3 individual dumplings and then was charged $45 because I was not told and the language barrier caused confusion- each "individual" order means 6 pieces. So I got 18 pieces when I wanted 3. I also ordered a ghuruli khachapuri over the phone but ended up without that and waiting instead for it at the restaurant because it was misheard as "megruli" or cheese bread instead. I spent over $100 by accident here due to phone translation issues with the woman and that sucks for me. Order in person! read more

I came across a particular Georgian dish while I was watching something which led to Googling it in the hopes that some place in northeast Ohio would have it. Tiflis came through! The dish in question? Adjaruli Khachapuri. The cheese is perfectly salted and perfectly charred on top. The sunshine yellow yolk is not only lovely to look at but, it goes well with the cheese. I've never had Georgian food before but the taste is familiar to other tastes of Eastern European food, it tastes like home in some way. They do have seating inside if you'd like to dine in and while you do so you can get kampote to pair with your food (they don't do it to go unfortunately). Would definitely recommend! read more

Georgian Bakery Tiflis is a recently opened and trending location in Parma Heights. It is owned by long-time Georgian restaurateur who previously operated a Georgian restaurant in Moscow, Russia for over 16 years. Growing up in Moscow, Russia, I deeply experienced Georgian cuisine in friends' kitchens and restaurants. Tiflis is an authentic and delicious experience. The kind of food you taste with your eyes closed, it's so good. I definitely did just that! FOOD: The menu is simple and has twelve traditional dishes. All are labeled with numbers so you don't have to practice pronouncing the dish names if you aren't feeling adventurous. All items on the menu are savory, not sweet. Simple drink menu is available with water and soft drinks. Tiflis operates scratch made kitchen with every order made especially for you. You can witness the captivating preparation process while you wait. This takes the food to the next level. You pay at the counter and the dishes will then be delivered right to your table when ready. I highly recommend dining in, most Georgian dishes taste best fresh. There are takeout options if it's your preference. My order included the following: Khinkali ($12 for 5 pieces) - Georgian dumplings with 90% beef and 10% pork filling. Khinkali was absolutely delicious, juicy, and just like they were supposed to taste. Perfectly seasoned. My favorite dish here. Traditionally you have to eat khinkali with your hands. Bite the khinkali, slurp the juice inside, and eat the rest of the dumpling. It's meant to be messy and soupy. Ajaruli Khachapuri ($15) - Freshly baked and perfectly hearty. This is bread (similar to brioche) savory pastry containing egg and cheese. The egg symbolizes the sun. Traditionally consumed for dinner, this pastry is meant to be eaten by breaking the bread on the sides and dipping it into cheese/egg middle. Kind of like a bread soup bowl. I really enjoyed this khachapuri, other variations are also available on the menu. I really wanted to taste Olivier Salad that is a Russian salad known for its popularity during NYE. I can make it at home, but prefer to experience it at restaurants. It's hearty veggie salad with mostly potatoes. Think the consistency of potato salad but way different taste. Tiflis didn't have this salad during my visit. Other guests really wanted Georgian wine and were asking about it. Tiflis does not offer any alcoholic beverages, currently working on a liquor license. Hopefully this will be an option in the future. Georgian wine is well known for being some of the world's renowned. SERVICE: The service is very friendly. Most employees are trilingual (English, Georgian, and Russian). The owner personally answered a lot of questions from the guests and was extremely friendly. He was openly sharing his plans for the bakery, recommending and explaining the dishes. Khinkali and khachapuri were most recommended dishes. AMBIANCE: The cafe is very casual with one open space and a few tables (bar top against the wall and regular tables). Walls are adorned with the photographs of Georgian cities. Most guests during my visit were Russian, Georgian, and Ukrainian. Guests were very friendly and social with each other. It's a very homelike atmosphere. The cafe was pretty busy during my visit with most guests dining in and experiencing this bakery for the first time. I highly recommend this bakery for an authentic Georgian food experience. I was really impressed with the freshness of the food and the hospitality. I can't wait to stop in again to experience all items on the menu. I even complimented the owner directly at the end of my meal, it was that delicious! P.S. If you're international cuisine foodie, also check out all the international markets in Parma Heights area after you visit Tiflis. read more

Very small place tucked in the corner of the shopping strip. If you don't know where you are going, you will miss it (we knew where we were going, and we almost missed it). Georgian flavors are incredible and amazing. You come up to the counter, order it and then they bring it out to you. This is a brand new place and they are still working out some kinks. They were out of some dishes but wasn't a big deal for us. Definitely worth trying read more

I had to go to the vet next door, and this place looked like a total hole in the wall, which is usually where greatness lies. And I was not disappointed. I have never had Georgian food before, and the folks behind the counter were very patient and helpful. I ended up getting the lobiani lorit, and the adjaruli khachapuri. Both were some of the best things I've ever eaten. Simple flavors (red beans and pork for the first, and just eggy goodness with cheese cheese and more cheese) in perfectly crafted breads.... So good. A wonderful experience and I will definitely be back. read more

Food- some dishes are good but some are not, for example soup Xarcho was cold and tasted like a pureed tomatoes with beef. Service- not very friendly, just get in and out. They were fast bringing food, not sure how they can cook so fast. I feel like they would be friendlier to people that they know maybe from the same country or people that come there all the time to eat. We were excited to try Georgian cuisine being that I was born in a former Soviet Union and now Ukraine however, for the price we spend, I would not consider coming back. read more

Finally, Georgian food in Cleveland! Georgian cuisine is our absolute favorite, and it used to be a rare treat we'd only enjoy on trips to Toronto or NYC. We're so excited that Cleveland finally has its own spot! We ordered all our favorites--Adjaruli khachapuri, khinkali, pkhali, and mushrooms with suluguni--and everything was absolutely delicious. We'll definitely be back for more! read more

Georgian Bakery Tiflis - Adjaruli khachapuri, mushrooms, pkhali - Georgian Near Me - Parma Heights, Ohio

I spent a week in a half in Georgia (the country) years ago, so this place had, uh, a high bar to meet. I can genuinely say that it's *extremely* authentic, with basically the same menu as most restaurants in Georgia, and a very similar taste. That said, it's not as good as some of the best places I went in Tbilisi, which is why I'm rating 4* rather than 5*. Don't get me wrong, though--it is genuinely comparable to your average hole in the wall in Georgia, and it's likely the best restaurant of its sort for hours in any direction, but I think there's better in NYC. Perhaps the khinkali are 4* and the breads (this is a bakery) are 5*. The khinkali (meat dumplings) very tasty, with the right dough thickness and flavor, but they're a bit too firm, lacking a certain floppiness I came to value when traveling in Georgia. The khachapuri are huge and filling, with the right cheese--it's not easy to find Imeretian cheese here. The lobiani is perhaps even better, with a savoriness in the beans that instantly transported me. The bread is also visibly fresh, since you can watch them rolling out the dough to order. read more

Excellent! Two of us had the beef pie-- enough to share. Order at the counter and they'll bring the food out. Very pleasant and helpful staff. Good experience! read more

Per previous post I ordered the beef skewers. The picture showed a plate of five or six skewers. For $22 the actual order was 5/1 inch squares of a very tough beef on a piece of lettuce with sliced onion. When I mentioned it to the server, he said oh the picture is of is chicken, beef, lamb, etc.. skewers. I told him it would be helpful if the description or the picture to be more realistic of what the order actually was. Note: they only offer beef and salmon skewers. Also the server/cashier was only interested in drinking (they brought out a large bottle of liquor and conversing and laughing with a group of 5-6 friends. read more

This place is an absolute hidden gem in Cleveland. If you want the freshest Georgian pastries, real natural cheese, flavorful meat, and something completely different from the usual food around here, this is the place. There is nothing else like it in Cleveland or anywhere nearby. I've been to Chicago, Denver, Miami, and a lot of other places, so I know what I'm talking about. Their Guruli khachapuri is the best I've ever had, and honestly, all of their khachapuri is incredible. Fresh, hot, cheesy, flavorful, and made the right way. Some of the spicy options are next level too. The owner, Gennady, is an amazing guy -- very welcoming, real, and passionate about what he does. You can feel that this place is made with heart. Also, if you go there, definitely ask about the homemade wine. It's something special. Most people in Cleveland have probably never tried anything like it. The restaurant is extremely clean, the food is fresh, and everything tastes amazing. Highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to try real Georgian food and experience something truly unique. read more

Thank goodness we got some Georgian food in Cleveland finally. This place does it right and the staff is incredible.

This place is like a throwback to the vibrant streets of Tbilisi (or Tiflis as it used to be called) and I felt that both the food and the ambiance were taking me back. We celebrated my wife's birthday there and music was cranked up, dance began and the service kept rolling. The legendary GeorgIan hospitality and food culture all come to life in this little place. read more

My wife and I have craved traditional Georgian cuisine ever since we had the pleasure of visiting Tbilisi, Georgia, several years ago. We have only been able to enjoy it occasionally as we make trips to Toronto or New York. Now that we have found this gem, we plan to be back regularly as the need for Adjaruli Khachapuri hits every month or so. Do yourself a favor by doing 2 things: come hungry and try as many dishes as you can. You will leave full and happy. A third option is to wear stretchy clothes. read more

My wife and I stopped in after visiting the Cleveland zoo today. This restaurant was recommended to us by a friend who is Georgian. We were the only two customers and were welcomed by the owner whose name is 'George'. There was only himself and one employee, we made our selection(dumplings) along with a Georgian cream soda(really good) and two different pastry items. One was a honey cake and the other a French style pastry called appropriately enough,.. 'Napoleon'.The 'Napoleon' was given to us as an extra with out charge, a generous way to treat customers and an unexpected delight for our selves. The dumplings were prepared fresh and served to us sooner than later, always good sign for a restaurant and their customers.Prices were fair and the size of the servings decent, and the dumplings tasted great. I would definitely recommend anyone wanting to try something different instead of a regular American meal to try this place;..we left well fed and happy.Worth a visit and a thumbs up! read more

My wife and I had dinner here last night and we were very pleased. It is a small, but nice looking place and there are so many great items on the menu we found it difficult to choose. We split an order of the beef & pork Khinkali "Georgian Dumplings" along with Mkhlovani "Spinach & Cheese baked inside of yeast bread". Both were excellent and we can't wait to go back to try two different items next time (the menu is expanding so there soon will be more choices). We could not finish our dinner since it was so filling and delicious. The owner is a very nice person and his service made sure we were pleased with our visit. If you want to try something different, definitely try the Georgian Bakery Tiflis. read more
