I would give less than 1 star if I could. First, these owners need to fix their parking lot and drive though pavement. These people have never invested in making their business look good. As long as they are still bringing in $$$ they don't seem to care. This has been a rundown location for many years! Not only does the parking lot look and treat our cars horrible, but the building and everything inside is gross. I wish that was everything I could gripe about, but it only starts here. Seems they hire anyone with out regard to them looking clean or being cognoscente of food safety. The drive through process lets us see how clean they keep things in the back. In most cases, it's a horror show. I would assume since the owners don't pay any attention to their building and how it looks, that they have the same standard to who they hire. Nobody looks like they want to be there and you can tell when you hear their voices on the intercom or when you pull up to the window. Now Wendy's has joined BK as the companies with the worst service possible since 2020. Time for a change Okemos Wendy's! I called ahead to see if they had the thin mint frostys . They said yes. I ordered ahead for them and when I arrived they said they did not have the topping for the frosty. I feel betrayed as I went out of my way to travel far to get the special frosty. All I was offered was a plain frosty of the same size even though I paid extra for the limited edition frosty. DISAPPOINTED. Drove thru Drive Thru on a cold snowy evening at about 6pm....I ordered Chili, Potato, and Peppermint Frosty. I was informed that they were out of all three. Later in the same week, I chose to call ahead before I made the drive. Of course the phone rang off the hook....no answer. So, I decided to order online---thinking if they were out of something---my order would be declined. I ordered, paid, made the drive , waited in drive thru, and was informed again, they could not complete my order. Who ever heard of running out of Chili at Wendy's ---a known staple. Was refused service. I took a bus to the beautiful corporation I look at as home, and tried to go inside. It was locked. There were cars in the drive way, and understood that they were low on staff, and could only manage with drive thru open. I waited in the drive thru, with no car because I do not own one. As soon as I got up in line after my long wait, I was rudely told to go home for being carless. Discrimination at its finest. For weeks, my friends and I had plans to go to Wendy's to get the famous pumpkin spice frosty. We were so excited just to end up disappointed. And not in the way Wendy's usually disappoints: with the food that tastes like it was pulled out of the dumpster. Actually, I don't even know if the food tastes bad because they refused to even serve us. And for what reason? Not having a car. I honestly couldn't care less that it was a "safety hazard" to walk through the drive through; it's my life that is at danger, not yours. The car behind us stayed a good distance away, but still nonetheless, they refused service for the incredibly selfish reason being that he was understaffed, but acted like it was to keep us safe. If you're looking for a place in the morning to get a quick breakfast on your way to work this place isn't for you. Most of the time using the drive thru around 6:45ish they don't answer. Not sure if it's because they need more time to open or whatever but a little communication would help understand why. Many people have had this issue in the morning & it unfortunately shows. The earliest I've found they serve breakfast is around 7:00-7:30am instead of their posted opening hours (6:30am). Food is about what you'd expect at a fast food restaurant, nothing to complain or compliment about. The few times I have gone there in the afternoon the service & staff have been friendly & fair. It's just the mornings seem to have issues. I've been in fast food myself in the past, I get it, it can suck at times. I was at your Okemos drive thru today Sunday January 3rd at approx 130-140pm. Your employee , a female with blondish brown hair not wearing a hat was screaming at a co worker calling her names and cussing, including " f-bimbs" She was saying the co worker was "a dumb bitch" and "disgusting" Her behavior was inappropriate and her language was very disturbing and EXTREMELY unprofessional. I thought your organization should be aware as this behavior should not be tolerated . The car behind me had some young children in it and im sure that language was not appreciated. First I have to say that this is the only Wendy's near my location. I visited tonight to pick up a family me. Not happy at all. I had to wait almost 25 minutes for the meal to be delivered. The woman at the woman at the window was barely doing her job and then I pulled ahead for the wait. The young man who came to the car with a handful of bags - we miscommunicated and the chicken nuggets spilled on my car floor. He did apologize and ran out with an order. I have no clue why another specialized drive through can far surpass and make a patron feel as if they are truly appreciated. Everyone I have met there seemed to really take their job seriously and professionally. Actually I went to this Culver's first because they had a seasonal special that has expired. My son went to this location and ordered a double burger no cheese and only onion. He got home and it had cheese and everything but onion. He returned the burger and pointed out their mistake they gave him another burger and this time the onions had mayo, ketchup and mustard on them as if they had taken them from a normal burger and placed them on his plain burger. read more

This is BY FAR the DIRTIEST Wendy's I've ever been to. After ordering our meals, we hunted for the least dirty table we could find and settled for a wobbly one with minimal stickiness and crumbs. The carpet and tables were stained and littered with chunks of food and wrappers. The longer we sat, the more disgusted we became. The walls were peeling, the ceilings had dust hanging down, many of the ceiling tiles looked moldy, the bathrooms were covered in toilet paper and water, and the stall I used had what looked to be mold at the base of the door and sides. The only saving grace of our subpar dining experience was the friendly staff. We definitely won't be returning to this location. read more

first let me say that i am a huge wendy's supporter and that I've never had a negative experience at wendy's before the occasion in question. I ordered a number two with a medium fries and a choco-frosty that I dipped the fries in. I am very disappointed to find that when I woke up the morning after eating the sandwich to attend school I was vomiting and had extreme food poising. This is quite honestly the worst Wendy's I have ever been to. All the employees are extremely rude, when paying today they asked if we "had more change" because they "didn't want to count coins". They are very slow & we counted 7 staff members standing around on their phones while our food sat on the counter waiting to be passed out the window. We literally sat in the drive thru for 15 minutes due to all employees being on their phones and not paying attention.
