This Wendy's used to be a go-to if i wanted fast food for a while. I'm not sure if it's a staffing issue or not, but in my last consecutive visits to this location i had to wait over 20 minutes to get my order which is always small and my order was wrong each time. It's clear that the management was working hard to try to deal with whatever issues they were having in the restaurant because in my last 4-5 visits they came on the microphone to say more order would take a while because of xyz. But what was frustrating was that there was never more than one or two cars ahead me, and this happened almost every time a went. It could definitely have something with the time of day i went (between 9pm-11pm each visit), so it's possible that the service is better at other times of the day. Wendy's is definitely my favorite fast food burger place, but i don't think i'll be back for a while to this location. read more

I went inside to place my order and was the fourth person in line. I waited for 20 minutes and watched the cashier not take a single order as she just bagged for the to go window and doordash. i only had cash on me, so while i waited 20 mon 3 more people came in and ordered at the comouter. i finally left and went on the drive-through line which I got through in four minutes. read more

I walked in and waited 10 minutes at the front counter. There was someone ahead of me waiting and another guy waiting for his food. 10 minutes and the 2 women working only did the drive through and completely ignored us. Just wanted a simple plain burger and they couldn't get it right. I am highly allergic to dairy and I ordered a plain burger and said NO CHEESE, only meat on the bread. They put cheese on it. Wendy's overall has gone downhill since the beginning of COVID. What used to be my favorite fast food joint has become my least. Save yourself the trouble and go to Sonic across 35. Tonight was horrible. I was rushed through the drive-thru after I said I needed a minute. Not a single soul was behind me. 20 seconds in and "I can take your order now" was my response. I ordered, paid, and was told at the second window "yeah we're gonna have you park over there (points to their mobile pickup spots), we're waiting on your.. uhhhh.. oh the chicken yup." I parked. The wait time is always long for the drive through. Every time I've gotten food via the drive through the fries are cold. Every single time. Today they forgot my baconator fries all together. Wendy's used to be in the top tier of burger places. This store in Middletown, NJ is no longer in that class. Biggest problem seems to be lack of consistency and sloppy operation. In my experience, they get our order wrong just about every time. We had taken to checking everything in our bag to see if it was all there and as ordered. Then we got the wrong item wrapped in the right wrapper. We don't know how to work around that one. Also it seems items arrive lukewarm or dried out. We have moved on. Another fast food restaurant featured in the opening scene of Clerks II. I am not a big fan of Wendy's. About the only thing I really like are Frosties and maybe the chili on a cold day. However, my daughter will usually chose Wendy's over all of the other fast food restaurants. Since she likes cheese burgers with just catsup this is the place that is easiest about make special orders since all sandwiches are made to order.
