    Lobster roll
    Sean S.

Been here a few times and I always walk out very satisfied when I'm finished. I would recommend the pot of clams - the clams are big and the broth and bread can turn this into a full meal. I got the lobster roll on special on my last trip. I'm always a little let down by lobster rolls as they typically are small and leave me wanting more. The lobster roll here was perfection and very well portioned. Sitting upstairs next to the open windows was a great touch.

Came here after a 9 mile MTB trail ride at Hartshorne Woods Park. The yelp reviews looked good, and we were able to make reservations on Open Table. When we got there, as I walked in, I was filled with amazement. The decor of this place was great. Exposed brick walls, cool furniture. We were seated upstairs. Seems we entered this town during the off season (03012025). My buddy ordered this steak dish for the table. Small pieces of steak with a crispy onion topping. They were full of flavor and hard to share among four hungry dudes. I ordered the double smashed burger. It came with these great brown crispy fries. So much fries! That's the way to do it. The smash burger tasted amazing. The bun seemed lightly toasted. The service was great. Two waiters took care of our needs. Whenever in the area will come again.

Stopped by Atlantic House while in the area and it was a nice experience. On a nice summers day the second floor seating with the windows opened out is quite refreshing and a vibe. The menu seems solid American. For apps we got the fried cheese curds and it was great! The breading was just right and not too much. You can't really mess up cheese curds. The chipotle sauce is a good combo to pair it with. For mains we got the crab cake sandwich which I thought was tasty but it broke apart too easily. If the texture was more firm it would be easier to eat. Nevertheless a good meal. We also got the fried buffalo chicken wrap which we thought was better of the two. Both mains came with a side of salad and this is where it went from a good meal to ok. The salad was drenched in salad dressing, it was like the whole bottle was used. I recommend you ask for dressing on the side. The service was slow. It was practically a one man team. And the food came out longer than expected despite the limited numbers of guests. Overall I still would recommend coming here to dine because the flavor of the food overall was above average.

Spicy Rigatoni with chicken instead of sausage

Amazing views, great atmosphere, friendly staff, clean restaurant, reasonably priced food! The rooftop is a beautiful unique feature for this area as a local. Although the food took a little while to come out, it was fresh when it did and was so worth the wait. We got the spicy rigatoni and replaced the sausage with chicken instead and pork chop. 10/10 recommend!

    Orange honey glazed salmon

An excellent meal, well presented, timely served by friendly wait staff. I started with an Irish margarita which was generous and tasty. We led with Aurelia's salad which was shareable and fresh- candied pecans and raisin's added to the appeal. My orange honey glazed salmon was very good, over a brown rice, red quinoa accompaniment. The wasabi pea puree could have been a bit spicier. My partner's pork chop was cooked to perfection, but a tad salty to her taste. The bite she shared with me was excellent.

The food and service was great. We wanted to sit upstairs but was told there wasn't room although it didn't look crowded. Other than that, great spot for date night or going out with friends!

CRUMB TOPPED MAC & CHEESE! AMAZZZING.

LOVE IT HERE!!! The Mac & Cheese should be a full dinner (and not just a side item) because it is truly AMAZING. (I have posted a picture of it.) The Quesabirria Melt is incredible! Fries are sooo good. We sat upstairs after a film premiere across the street at Smodcastle...! Definitely recommend this place! And please make Mac & Cheese an entree or a special!

Let's just start by saying that this place is 5 stars . I only gave it 4 stars because I didn't get any food and I didn't know if it would be good or not. So 5 stars. The cider amazing ,the margarita awesome. And the bartender kenny downstairs needs a raise cause the man knows how to make a drink. It's nice and quiet and I'll definitely be back

This was a great dinner. My in laws came with us and we had a nice time. The space was well kept and clean and the staff was dead on. The food was delicious. Fish and chips was awesome. I had the cavotile special which was brilliant. My in laws are hard to please and they loved it. The beer was also ice cold!!! I will be back.

Atlantic House is such a great little spot along First Ave in Atlantic Highlands! The interior is cute with a nautical themed that feels very modern and upscale. Despite the upscale feel, you won't feel out of place dressed casually. The service is good here, with Matt and Josh especially always being great! The food is great too, and the specials are always delicious, ensuring that there is always something new to try. The boneless wings used to be on the main menu, but were back as a special on this visit. They are delicious with the buffalo sauce on them. For my dinner, I ordered the pot of clams. There were so many clams, at least two dozen probably, which definitely made it worth it! At the bottom there is a sauce with gnocchi, sausage (?), and a thick cut bacon I believe, which was so good. This is my second time ordering the pot of clams and I would definitely get it again next time.

I of course used Yelp to find a good diner on my drive from New Brunswick to Atlantic City. I found Broad Street located in Keyport not far from the Garden State Parkway. It's your "classic" diner which has that 1950's vibe with the exterior and interior decor. Elvis paraphernalia is featured here. They had a busy lunch crowd. I sat at the counter and ordered a McCaffrey Wrap which comes with grilled chicken, bacon, cheddar jack cheese, lettuce, tomato and honey mustard. It was really good. The side of sweet potato fries were crispy and seasoned just right. The staff were courteous and the service quick. There is a small parking lot that can accommodate about five cars. There was plenty of on street parking. The downtown area was nice and you can take a nice walk after dining here to the waterfront.

Pretty much your everyday diner, but maybe more on the dated side…read more Having read through some of the past reviews, I completely agree with other reviewers calling this "basic" and "standard" because there's really no other way to put it. The interior was typical of older diners - carpeting almost everywhere, endless number of booths and elderly patrons. We decided to dine here on a Saturday morning prior to hitting up the beach and walked in at around 11 AM. Unlike some other diners we had been to in Northern NJ, Kings Arm was relatively empty with a few tables occupied (by what looked to be locals) here and there. Our waitress approached us immediately after we sat down and she was very friendly and accommodating throughout our meal. As for the menu, it was as big of a menu as any diner we had ever been to - pages upon pages of breakfast items, dinner items, etc. It's what you would expect when you walk into a diner - a seemingly unlimitedddd number of things to choose from that will make your head spin. LOVEEEE IT. As for the food, it was pretty mixed from our end. My better half ordered the Pork Chop Milanese, while I got the Country Fried Steak with 2 eggs. For the kids, they had the Kids Spaghetti and Meatballs and Mac and Cheese. First, the Pork Chop Milanese. My wife actually reallllly, realllly liked it. Even though the pork chop looked dry, she thoroughly enjoyed it, which kind of surprised me. I had a bite of it and I thought it was just OK. As for my Country Fried Steak, I was verrrrrry disappointed in it. The steak wasn't very good and the white gravy just tasted and looked "old". Also, the home fries that came with my dish were not crispy and, in fact, very powdery. We also tried a little bit of the Spaghetti and Meatballs and Mac and Cheese, which were both alright. The spaghetti was al dente, but only came with ONE meatball, and the Mac and Cheese was totallllly Kraft. Overall, I expected a little more from Kings Arms, but, we took a risk and we missed on this one. Everything about the diner just said "outdated" and average to us. I can look past the decor typically as long as the food is good, but the food wasn't great, so the outdated decor kind of seemed worse than it probably is.

Place gets packed despite the many tables. Service was amazing, food was great (slightly higher prices than others, but the quality execution and quantity balanced it out). We had cornbread (very good), fries (was fine), chicken parm with pasta (we asked for vodka sauce which they accommodated for small charge), fried chicken (must have), churrasco steak breakfast and turkey club. No false notes that we could tell. Some standouts were mashed potatoes (really good), cornbread (toasted and slight sweet, with strawberry butter which was wild), whole wheat bread toasted (it was good I tell you) and fried chicken (it will haunt me in my hungry moments). Didn't think a diner would impact me as much, but they over delivered. Go, but make a reservation unless you want to wait.

READ FULL REVIEW!!!…read more March 2026: First time at this establishment was just ok. Hosted a very small get-together here (5 guest). Atmosphere was nice. Music was wayy too loud to hear the person you're sitting next to. Food was tasty and fresh. Coffee was good with great creamer selection (at the time). Our server was my least favorite part of this experience. He was over the top with his energy and upscale tactics (pushy with getting us to order extra drinks and appetizers despite declining). I was hosting this event and did not need him selling us after already being told "no, thank you" twice. It was awkward and ultimately changed the vibe. He hardly checked on us after that encounter and we constantly had to remind them about request that were never brought out to the table. Staff needs to be trained better. This was just an ok experience. April 2026 : What ultimately lead me to write this review was my 2nd experience at this diner. The server was a lot better than our first experience, but we did run into a few too many problems. First, we ordered coffee and are informed that per managements request, we can only have half-half or cream with our coffee. Previously they had French vanilla creamers and other flavored creamers but I guess management decided to save on the additional cost. This was a bummer especially realizing that they could easily afford creamers. This restaurant easily pulls at least $150,000 per week in revenue, so I didn't understand cheapening out like that. I still ordered the coffee. When it came to the table I added the cream into the cup only to find something floating in the coffee. I send it back and ask for a new cup, which the server politely provided. We order our meals and all goes well. Eventually two of the three meals come out and we wait for the final plate to come out. It's common courtesy to wait for everyone to have their meal before eating, so we wait. We wait about 6-7 minutes and the final plate comes out only for it to be cold. All of us ordered breakfast, so you can imagine trying to eat cold egg, potato, and sausage. We ask for the waiter, but before he could get to us the manager passes by and we let him know the issue. He takes the plate to the back and about two minutes later he comes back with the same exact plate. Before the manager arrived to take the plate away, I saw the guest split the egg half and add black pepper on everything so we knew it was the same plate and food she started eating off of that was reheated onto the kitchen grill where other food is being prepared for guest. The manager informs us that he had the chef heat the food up on the griddle and that it should be a perfect temperature. We refuse to accept the plate because it was reheated and not remade entirely. We were shocked that this was the solution even being offered. Reheating food on the griddle seemed unsafe (contamination risk, diseases, illness, etc) and offensive. No one pays these prices to have reheated breakfast served to them. I could've just made that at home for a fraction of the price. We politely refuse the reheated plate and he apologized and took the plate to the back. The server comes over to see what the issue is and we explain everything. He says that he will look into it and take that meal off the bill. Now I'm frustrated because one out of the three of us aren't eating anything and the experience was off. At this point, I'm not eating my meal but the 3rd guest is eating. So the guest who sent their plate back and myself are waiting for the 3rd guest to finish their pancakes. He ordered a stack of 4-5 chocolate chip pancakes and was happily eating away at layer by layer. Eventually he gets to the last 2 pancakes and before he adds syrup he notices what appeared to be an eyelash or short piece of hair imbedded in the pancake. Picture of the clearly imbedded hair included with this review. He immediately stopped eating and looks sick. He had already eaten 3-4 pancakes by then and the idea that he ate more of whatever that was felt unnerving, to say the least. We both start looking to see what he's looking at and long behold the hair was there. At this point we are extremely frustrated and completely over this experience. Management did not make this experience right even after addressing all of these issues both separately and together. I felt like my money was not valued and my business certainly wasn't. They did nothing to remedy these issues and I will NOT be going back to this establishment. This restaurant may look visually beautiful but the service is not. Staff needs more training, music needs to be turned down, chefs need to wear hairnets and everyone needs to follow safe food handling skills. You're putting your guest and your business at risk ignoring these issues. I really really wish I had a better experience.
