When they saw I was pouring gravy over my biscuits and country fried steak, they came by and filled me right back up without me even asking. I probably did not need more, but they saw I was low and topped me off anyway. My coffee cup never went empty. The portions are big. I knew things were bigger in Texas, but this place really showed up. And if you meet Mrs. Kitty, be polite. She does not hold back. She is the type of woman who wears her heart on her sleeve and tells you exactly how it is. I respect that. There is something refreshing about someone who is real and unapologetically themselves. While everything arrived fresh and looked appealing, the flavors were very underwhelming. Most of our meal was bland and lacked the seasoning or depth that would make us want to come back. We kept expecting each bite to have that classic diner comfort-food flavor, but it never quite got there. I genuinely wanted to love this place because the people and the atmosphere were wonderful.
