Thanksgiving Sub phenomenal! I wish every sub shop did something like this!
Kimmy R.

When I heard this place was doing a Thanksgiving sub complete with stuffing and cranberry sauce I was chomping at the bit to get my hands on it! I have been wanting sub shops to do this for a long time! And it was completely exactly what you would want for Thanksgiving sub... chopped full of stuffing turkey and slathered with cranberry sauce reminded me of the day after Thanksgiving and I'm here for that! Arrived to me delivered perfectly fresh and hot I wish it was available all year long!

First time here, very good hot subs. The prices are a little bit steep. For a large sub it's $10 and a medium it's $6 I believe and to add two combos it's $6 so total for two subs, 2 drinks and 2 chips $24. I ordered the Cajun chicken sub with roasted cherry tomatoes which was awesome but didn't have alot of meat on it but was full of flavor. The medium sub is rarely small and I should have ordered the "club on the sub" it was more fulfilling and tastier. The cashier and staff were all welcoming and nice for my first time here I'll say not bad one bit. I know what to order next time. On another note some customers that arrived were not adhering to the policy of wearing face masks and still was serviced. Very disappointing.

4" cheesesteak and a soda. $7.50. Ouch. It's good though

Sandwiches are priced too high for the quality. More bread than meat. Staff were not very friendly.

Everyone was friendly, the service was attentive, and our food came out quickly. I also really loved the vibe inside the deli. The artwork on the plates was such a fun detail and added a lot of character to the place! We also tried the chocolate cake. Unfortunately, it wasn't my favorite, but I'll admit I'm pretty picky about chocolate cake. I make a point of ordering it at every restaurant that offers it just to see how theirs compares. This one was a little too sweet for my taste, and the icing wasn't really my style. Overall, we had a great experience. I'd definitely come back for the sandwiches, friendly service, and cool atmosphere!

I wanted to dine in but decided to get my food to go out of respect of their 8 pm closing hour. I didn't look at what I ordered last time, so I asked for a recommendation. He suggested The Stallone and The Lucky. I ordered, then checked my previous order on Yelp while I waited. Same thing. OMG. I wanted to try something new too. Oh well. Then, while waiting, I had a thought: Wouldn't it be weird if they gave me the wrong order again, just like last time? Well... guess what. Almost. But flipped. They gave my order to another guy. ‍ When he told them, I watched them frantically take my food out of his bag and put it into mine. It was almost closing time, and the guy didn't look like he had any communicable diseases, so I guess there's that plus. But seriously, what are the odds? There were like five guys working back there packing orders it looked like. How does this keep happening? And one of the kids bagging the takeout orders had dark sunglasses on. At 8 PM. Dude, unless it's some medical condition, take the sunglasses off or get the order right. When I got home, the meatball sandwich was, of course, cold--which I expected since I live about 20 minutes away. I'd strongly recommend eating it there while it's hot because it's not nearly as good cold. Kinda mid The Stallone I ordered not warmed up. So it was okay. So, yeah, unfortunately, my second visit came with another wrong-order adventure. At this point, I'm starting to wonder if getting someone else's food is just part of the experience here.

Why 5 stars? Because this long awaited visit was so worth the wait…read more --- --- --- This was one of those places I have not only had on my list forever, but I've tried to go a comical amount of times. Somehow, someway, it seems to never work out for me. But it finally happened and I'm mad at myself that it took so long. Probably 2+ years ago a friend and I were at a local sub shop in Sugar Land, and he mentioned how Blimpie was always his favorite. I couldn't even remember if I'd ever been to a Blimpie, but I saw that there happened to be one, so I bookmarked it on that day, and it haunted me ever since. Blimpie cares not about decor or vibes, but they do make an absolutely incredible sandwich. The menu is unique, in that each sandwich is basically just one ingredient different than the sandwich above it. I opted for the Blimpie Best Deluxe on parmesan bre The bread was pillowy soft. The flavor of the sandwich was absolute perfection. It somehow got better each bite. I could not believe how much I liked it and how sad I was when it was over. It will probably torment me indefinitely that I didn't order the larger sandwich. I will prevail. And I will visit again. My question though, is very simply: why did Blimpie almost completely go away? It's light years better than Subway.

I used to eat it daily back when a full meal was $4.99, and I've even had Subway in Asia, Europe, and the Middle East. So yes, I have a calibrated palate for mass‑market sandwiches. They've got a handful of subs on special, but for a couple bucks more I went with my usual Italian--here called the "Italiano"--on Cheddar Jalapeño bread. And of course I did the footlong because size does matter. I asked for it toasted, only to discover they use a panini press, which flattens the bread like a stress test. Not my favorite. Ironically, I used to love Blimpie's oven‑style toast before Subway even offered it. They do have a separate oven for melting cheese, and that part I absolutely recommend. The sandwich itself was very good and definitely in Subway territory. For $1.29 you can grab a self‑serve cookie--critical, because I can select the front‑row cookie with the maximum chip‑to‑dough ratio. Fresh daily, solid flavor, very Subway‑adjacent. But I still prefer Subway's footlong cookie. It's a personality trait at this point. Staff was extremely friendly. I'm pretty sure the owner was working the counter, unless a gentleman of his seniority just enjoys staying busy or needs the cash, which is increasingly common these days. Honestly, that personal touch is probably what gives this place an edge over Subway. Pepsi products here. Acceptable, but I'm a Coke person. Blimpie is becoming an endangered species, even though it predates Subway by a year. But overall, I still think Subway has the stronger product.

The cod fish was fresh, lightly breaded and done just right - chunky with a nice level of flakiness. In the case of these fish tacos, I'd let the pictures do the talking. The avocado tacos were made fresh. Black beans and pickled vegetables went well with this star of a dish. The hummus - jalapeno and crabcakes were mediocre. Roberto and the waitress gave excellent service. Water for refill was provided in a milk bottle which was great. Afterall, we are in this hot heat of summer. Requested seating in a booth and got seated at a booth by the windows. Leg space felt better at the booths by the windows than those by the bar. Roberto recommended other dishes I may like to try next time - cauliflower crusted pizza, local kebab, burgers etc. Glad to have discovered this restaurant that was hidden in the woods. We did not sit there because it was hot. We sat indoors. It was just me and my child. Our waitress did not mention that kids (12 and under) eat free all day Mondays (and 10 am - 12 noon on weekends). I learned this from reading Google reviews after we had already ordered. After I asked, she confirmed the promotion and allowed us to add a kids meal since we had already ordered an adult entrée, which is the required condition. We ordered a kids' pizza. You can pepperoni for $1 but it's a free add on Mondays. Not gonna lie, pizza tasted off. Kid said it and I ignored her. Then I tried it and ack. We brought the rest home and stuck it in the fridge but it tasted even worse the next day. Tossed in trash. Service required frequent prompting. Like pulling teeth. I had to ask about the drink included with the kids meal. And yes Milk is an option. I also had to ask about the cookie that is supposed to come with the meal. We did not receive one. She said they had chocolate chip only as oatmeal and sugar cookies were gone. I said fine. We never got anything. So I went to the take out stand and we were told they were out of cookies. But they offered us a small brownie instead. Unfortunately however it contained nuts. For an appetizer, we ordered the cast iron spinach artichoke dip. The chip‑to‑dip ratio was not balanced. We ran out of chips way before the dip was gone. We also ordered the cast iron skirt steak (yes lots of cast irons). I requested medium rare. It arrived medium well and slightly tough however. You'd think they could easily tell this since they slice it all up before serving. It was not seasoned, but presumably that is because it is intended to be used with the chimichurri sauce provided. No salt on the tables. Overall, the experience and the food were marginal and borderline acceptable, but definitely unremarkable. Service is another story however. She was nice, just not very good at her craft.
