My service was absolutely awful. I went up to the window and ordered a burger with fries and a large drink and chicken nuggets with fries but without the drink. After going up to the window, they only counted my nuggets with fries and a drink. After a diliberate back and forth between the cashier at the window and myself, they finally gave me the food and the drink. And when I asked to see the manager, they said that he wasnt there. When I got to my house, I found my burger fries for myself, but the chicken nuggets didn't come with the fries that I asked for. And when I called the wendy's to complain, the manager answered the phone. The food was good, but the service needs to be fixed NOW. read more

Went to this Wendy's when we had 30 min before my sons class. Usually Wendy's is fast so I figured it was enough time. Drive through line was short. Still took 25 min to get our food. I pulled into a spot to pass out the food and both my kids meals were wrong (ordered 2 JBC with only Ketchup and mustard and got no bacon, why would I get junior bacon cheeseburgers and want no bacon?) and my burger was missing completely. I didn't have time to go through the line again so I tried to go inside. Door was locked with a sign that said drive through only. I had 5 min left and the line took 25. Finally someone came to the door and said they would fix it. They took the food and receipt (which said only ketchup and mustard for kids burgers). They brought food back and this time it had all but ketchup and mustard. This time no answer at the door, tried to call about 10 times but no answer and mailbox is full. Thank you for making us 10 min late to class and giving us food that no one liked since it was covered in Mayo when no one wanted mayo. read more

This Wendy's is consistently understaffed, slow, poorly stocked, and dirty. However I've never had my order wrong or my food be cold. Unfortunately that's the only positive thing I can say about this location. I would pass on this one unless you have no other options, or really love Wendy's read more

After waiting in line for 20 minutes, I got to order and was asked to wait. After another few minutes, I got to order and they didn't have what I wanted. I went ahead and ordered something else and when I got to the window, I was asked to pull forward. I did so and waited another 10 minutes and an employee came out, tripping over himself, and handed me my food. Once I finally got to eat, the food was way over cooked and practically burnt. Don't let the renovated facade fool you! We previously had written this location off due to very poor service and seemingly unhealthy cleaning standards. We were hopeful that the renovations would usher in improvements throughout the restaurant, but after our experience this weekend, it's clear that the improvements were only to the surface. This place is as slow and dirty as ever, and if it's possible, overall food quality has gone down. We waited over 30 minutes this weekend for a basic order of burgers and chicken sandwiches. The chicken was overcooked and impossible to eat; the fries were old, cold, and unsalted. And cleanliness--that word shouldn't be used in this review. The lobby floor was greasy and slick; walking was treacherous. There wasn't a clean table to be found. The soda station was a trashed, sticky mess. Overall, it will take more than trendy bricks and funky seating to fix this establishment. The franchisee needs to take a long, hard look at operations and invest in quality, like the sign out fronts states. read more

There could literally be 2 people in line at this Wendy's but it will take no less than 30 minutes to get 1 single order of nuggets. This has happened on every single occasion and when I got to the window finally, more than 3 cars had drove away AFTER ordering their food. Slowest freaking service ever. read more

I have now had two delivery orders from this Wendy's, and both times there were issues with the order. The first time, I received the complete wrong order, and the second time the address Door Dash received was completely wrong. When I (and Door Dash) tried to call the store, the phone just rang and rang indefinitely, and nobody answered. Needless to say, customer service at this store leaves much to be desired. read more

I am a restaurant manager at another local place down the street. first I would like to state that I never do this . I have come here before with my kids and had terrible service and never said anything but this time was horrible . I would also like to say that I know managing a dine is facility is far diff then fast food however customer service skill should be the same . I watched two sets of families walk out before their order getting taken because no one greeted them and they had stood there for ten min. while I'm watching this me and my children have already ordered and have waiting 15 min for our food . when we got our food they told us that they were holding on a sandwich . I get being short staffed . but 8 min later I walked up there and had to remind them to make it . it hadn't even been started. the cashier was just standing there. when I asked her to ask them if they were making it they gave her the rudest look and didn't respond . might I add that it took me another ten min to get that sandwich . no manger talked to me . we got our food and left . I know as a manger that sometimes there are things that can be uncontrollable. but we can always controll our attitude and at that point I would have locked the doors if I as a manager couldn't handle the hour. that would have been a more responsible choice then to run the risk of guests never coming back read more

3/20/17: I would give this Wendy's restaurant zero stars, if I could. This Wendy's franchise's service, food, & cleanliness has gotten progressively worse over the last 2 years. We did not receive a receipt for this order, and we would rather vote with our dollars & absence - than give this company any further business. We ordered 2 large cups chili, but when we got home - both of the containers were cold to the touch, both of the servings of chili inside were ice cold, the cashier had ranted about us asking for extra cheese (barely any cheese at all, and it was still refrigerated on top of the "chili soup"), and the onions and peppers inside the chili were not cooked. I *used to* Love the Wendy's chili recipe. Not anymore. :,( BTW, this Wendy's franchise spent it's money to upgrade the interior... BUT the flooring in the lobby is dangerous for both the workers and the customers. Something about the new laminate wood flooring collects humidity from the entire restaurant, then it makes the lobby near the ordering counter AND the drink dispensers incredibly slick and dangerous. The Wendy's workers know this, but all that they can do is put out the "be careful of wet floor" signs. Disgraceful. :( read more

Of the 2 ketchup dispensers, only one actually had a dispensing nozzle; the other was in such poor condition that you couldn't fill a ketchup cup. Both napkin dispensers were empty. After I found a chair that wasn't broken or didn't have lopsided legs, I got to listen to some sort of beeping from the kitchen go on for about 5 minutes before anyone decided to take care of it. I wish I could give a ZERO star review. I wonder who the general manager of this location is because they are obviously not doing a very good job. I live down the street. Was excited about getting the new chicken tenders. Waited behind one vehicle for over 5 minutes after I ordered. 2 of the 3 tenders were cold and dry and the other one was so hard that I couldn't even eat it. They also forgot to put the cheese on the chicken sandwich I ordered special for my wife. Wow, this location literally puts such a terrible shame to the place Mt family and I really love to eat. The food is terrible. The staff are so unfriendly, dirty and down right wrong. We as locals love our area of Lees Summit but this place is a disgrace. Please let it be known we gave it 3 chances after the remodel in hopes that maybe we just caught them on an off day bit that simply wasn't the case. Bad food, dirty place, employees that seemed they were in a party environment, bad management and many other things need to be addressed but either way we will NOT be coming back. Hello everyone. I went to Wendy's today. Went through drive thru and ordered. I did not receive all my food and it was a mess. I went inside to complain and get my money back. The manager RANDY was a great help for me. He not only refunded my money. I received my order fresh for free. I have to tell you I am happy. The food was great and management has made it right. I am glad to say I will come back now. Great job Wendy's..... It all starts with the management. Employees are all in training may take a little bit to get food, but worth the wait fresh and hot good looking food. read more

Went here tonight through the drive through. First of all, I paid with cash and was putting the rest on my card. Well the cashier at the window decided not to do that, and swiped my card first for some reason and was untrained I'm assuming. Why? Because next she says "oh..um..well we can't do half card half cash..sooo." So she screwed up the payment and didn't know how to fix it so lied about that. Secondly, I ordered two chicken go wraps which are supposed to have lettuce on them. I did not ask for anything removed from these or added, just regulars. They completely forgot the lettuce on them. Ruined those. Finally, I ordered a meal which comes with a drink and fries. They completely forgot to give me my fries. The line was not even long so no one should have been rushed.. this shocks me. Everytime I have gone to this Wendy's, the service just keeps getting worse. Slower and slower, more yelling in the kitchen, and wrong orders. After this incident I will NOT be coming back. I also called the corporate office to make this same complaint. I would NOT suggest going here if you don't want to waste your money on wrong and missing products. read more

I've gone to this Wendy's maybe six times. Wendy's is what it is. If you go during the lunch rush, you are going to be waiting in line for 10-15 minutes. Employees are lacking in friendliness. Ordered the new "baconator" fries because they looked so good, but it was a strange mix of liquid cheese and what looked like a shredded cheese product on soggy fries placed in a small salad bowl. As a long time customer of this Wendy's it is with an absolute sorrowful heart that I have to write this. In the last 2 weeks a friend of mine and I have gone through the drive through to order some food. Each time we get a simple order requesting our burgers to be plain yet despite requesting for this to be done to our burgers the workers within the restaurant disregard this giving us burgers prepared in a fashion that we did not want. How am I suppose to trust this restaurant to prepare my order properly if they continue to mess it up? I question whether or not I should even consider continuing to spend my money at this establishment if a simple plain burger can not even be appropriately prepared. Additionally, we have had drinks with which we request to have no ice in have ice in them and we've even had whole sandwhiches missing. This is an outrage and we hope that someone in management sees this review and attempts to amend this so as to prevent this from happening again otherwise my wallet will go to another wendy's even if it is further away. I have been a fan of Wendy's since the early 80's. The food is at least as good as the competitors but I just liked Dave and the corporate involvement in charities. My one complaint is that I've noticed in the last few years that the restaurants are too cold. Sure, I'm getting older but apparently, there is only one setting on the A/C and that is about 60 degrees. I generally don't say anything about it because I just get the stock answer (corporate controls the setting). I have seen many people come in and tell the order taker that it is just too cold in there so they order to take out. That's what I do. I have to assume that they only have one system and set it for the comfort of the cooking crew and don't care if the customers are comfortable. Or, is it that the corporate philosophy is to fill orders only and don't want customers to linger in the eating area? Whatever you like. My response has been to only go to Wendy's once or twice a year instead of making it a frequent destination. So, if you wonder how you can improve market share, here is a good way. Just run the figures on how many customer visits you have lost and also how much it costs in electricity wasted trying to freeze out the customers. read more

My son and I went a couple days ago, it was horrible! The service counter girl was missing a couple of brain cells, messed up our order. Workers at the window just talking away. Both coke machines only had diet coke and a piece of the machine was lying on the floor. The floors were dirty. When I left my son waited another 10 mins for our food and the cashier was making fun of a little girl who were also waiting for her food. This place used to be good but now it's disgusting. No stars here. Horrible service, Horrible food and Horrible Housekeeping!! I should have taken the guys advice in the dining area when he told us to leave and go somewhere else. Waited over 20 minutes for cold food. Chicken tasted like it was double dropped or microwaved. Was burnt and cold on the inside. Fries were cold, soda machine was out of ice and the other one had pop all over the floor so you had to straddle it to get your drink. No ketchup available for the dining area either.
