I had no idea this fast casual lunch and dinner place was in fact, local. So much more to love now! I checked out Twisted Fresh for the first time today for lunch in Lees Summit and was beyond surprised when I looked up their locations and only saw ones in Kansas and Missouri. Everything was freshly prepared, mighty flavorful and reasonably priced. The menu is extensive with a wide variety of options, from bowls to burgers...tossed salads to tucked wraps, burritos and tacos galore! I swear this place pretty much has it all and everything on the menu seemed to be priced at under $15. They also had a few unique sides to choose from but, on this visit I stuck with a lone wrap (which was plenty filling). They have so many different taco and wrap options that it's hard to decide what to get, but everything I've had there has been wonderful! Tried today for the first time at dinner. Not too busy for a Wednesday which was great. Reasonable pricing for most menu items. I ordered the chickencashew avocado wrap and potato salad combo. The potato salad was mayo based. I enjoyed the different textures and shapes which is unusual in a potato salad. The wrap was good and tasted fresh. It was kind of dry however, because I didn't get the Sriracha that was supposed to come on it. I also wish it would have had more avacado in it. My friend had a quinoa bowl and said it was good. I ordered a build your own. Some of the flavors they had were a little out there. Imported for simple. I ordered a plain cheddar burger, to which I added a half a packet of mayo and two packs of mustard. I used all the garden that they provided and it was wonderful. The burger was big, thick, and juicy. It took them 11 minutes to cook it and they asked me how I wanted it. I told them I wanted it medium and it was perfect. It tasted like something from a backyard grill, which I love. I would go back here and try some other things. The restaurant was very clean and well lit. There were several other people enjoying their meals in the restaurant and also they were doing a very brisk carryout business, so that tells me that they have a variety of good dishes. Tried Twisted Fresh for the first time today. Not overly impressed but it wasn't bad. I got the Chicken Gyro with a side of potato salad. I liked the flavor of the chicken and the cucumber sauce but I felt they overloaded it too much with lettuce. Kind of hid the flavor of those two things too much. But overall it was decent.. The potato salad was forgettable to say the least. I'm not going to knock them for this, potato salad is really subjective based on how you like it. But the main problem with this one is it seemed flavorless. I will be back to try some other wraps and I hear their Mahi Mahi tacos are great. Hopefully I find something I like better. read more

I went ahead and got the meal deal because it gets you a side for 50 cents more than just a drink costs, and I was going to get a drink anyway. The sides - I had the street corn the first time, and ended up not going beyond two bites because it was very cold, yet spicy. The second time I asked if the potato salad was bi gear or Mayo based, and was told Mayo. The potato salad seemed simply chunks of potato with a few brushes of seasoning. I did not finish it either. My son and I had lunch there a couple weeks ago. I had the Cajun chicken tacos which tasted delicious and fresh. I added the street corn salad side which was served cold which was a pleasant surprise. My son got the kids chicken quesadilla. It was huge and he loved it. The kids meal is big enough that smaller kids could probably share it. For dessert we got a brownie but were to full to eat it. We had it the next day and it was probably one of the best I have ever had. The lost stars was on the service. The place is really new so I am hoping the service will get better because the food was delicious. We waited a really long time for our food. We watched some tables if bigger groups that some of the group had food and others were not getting their food till the first ones were almost done. Give them a shot if you have some extra time, the food was great and hopefully the speed and service will improve soon. I plan to go back but giving them some time. read more

I didn't love the 20 minute wait with no one else ordering so order online if you are busy. My steak tacos were pretty solid when I could get past the soggy shell from sitting in juice/ grease at the bottom of the container. I understand that this location is new but it was also a HUGE disappointment! They were busy so we expected a bit of a wait but after 25 minutes I finally went to go ask about my order. Turns out they lost the ticket so it was never made. The lady I spoke was neither empathetic nor apologetic and quite frankly seemed like I was putting her out for asking. A couple minutes later they called my name again and it turned out they gave me someone else's order. Once I received my order, they also forgot my side. Extremely disappointed. There were 3 other customers sitting at tables and one customer in line. Obviously they weren't busy, however, all the tables and the floor were dirty. Trash on floor and sticky spots. Had to clean a table ourselves before we could use it. My sister had finished eating by the time I got my order. Plenty of staff, just not efficient.
