The place was filthy. The food was not fresh.. the person at the cashier was very nice. Will not eat there again.

I don't have high expectations when it comes to fast food joints but this was one of the nastiest I've stopped in. Bathroom was absolutely disgusting. Dining room wasn't much better. The soda fountain looked like it hadn't been wiped down in a week or more. I was absolutely starving so I risked ordering food which was also a big mistake. Depending on time of day the staff can be good or bad. The store usually looks clean. Though they are lazy sometimes and make DoorDash fill drinks like they work for them. Last their portions for price is too little for too much. Meaning low portions for high price. Enjoy 3 bites for $6. Well, we ended up at Wendy's because my daughter was not feeling well and said it was all she would eat. She didn't eat much. But the food was fine. My bacon cheeseburgers were good as was my wife's salad. Kids ate up the fries but not the nuggets. Usually they are fine. Could have been us. Restrooms were questionable. Mens toilet hadn't been cleaned in a few days. And paper towel dispenser worked first time we went in, but not after eating. Luckily there were plenty of napkins in the dining room. The water was out on the fountain machine, making all the HI-C beverages out. But they got us everything we needed from the drive through area. Plenty of employees and service was pleasant and fast. Drive through line was long and moved quickly. Team seemed to enjoy working together. If you want a good traditional Wendy's experience you should be in good hands here. When we started to order my friend went first and the scanner was broken and the screen that we are supposed to see was not on so we couldn't see our order and when my friend was done he used a coupon but because the scanner was broken so he couldn't scan it but the manager gave him it free without using the free coupon and after he payed my and my sister ordered and I wanted to use the coupon because I didn't know if it was broken because he got it so when I asked if I could use it he said no it was broken and he has a AirPod in his ear and this guy is so confused. It's his first day. And he doesn't know how to work the machine and there's like four other people in the back and two of them were taking doing nothing instead of helping this guy even though he keeps on asking for help so then finally we order and my sister's friend behind us. He just leaves the desk and doesn't take her order. and then he gives us a frosty even though we ordered an iced coffee and the Frosty she got had coffee flavor, but it was more expensive and he gave us the wrong thing so he charged us extra. And then finally when he comes back to the desk, he takes my sister's friends order and then my sister asked if she can have the drink she wanted and he size and then on the way to get the new one he whispers these people are so needy and then finally we got our order. It took a long time, but when he was folding the burgers and the wrapping paper, he was doing it slow but aggressively so it had dents and everything. Terrible service. stopped by this location twice this week...my mistake. The first time the dining room was locked and it was 7:30 AM. A big tall man was standing in the dining room eating so I knocked on the door and was completely ignored. he watched me turn away. Get back in my truck started up and pull out and that's when he came and unlocked the door. visited the same location today, There was at least seven employees in the building that I could see, three working in the back one boy taking out trash, a manager lady pulling product from her car and two employees sitting at the table near the registe. I was completely ignored for a good 5 minutes. Nobody took my order even though I had made eye contact with several people. as I turned to leave the manager, Lady screams out loud "Who's on break?" lol!!! This place has horrible customer service. Terrible Service. When I was going there from Jan 2023-May 2023 there was a nice lady that worked there and always got my order right. Plus it was a very fast Wendy's. Now there is a Crazy Man that works there and the service isn't that impressive anymore. It has almost made me late for tutoring and Math over at Pellissippi right next door. On Tuesday November 26th 2024 at 2:30pm. Weather was 52 and mainly sunny. I went through and ordered a 20 piece nugget. It was $9.28. Went through. He grabbed my card way fast and acted weird. Then handed it back to me way fast. A girl handed me my food and didn't even tell me thank you or anything. Rather did the crazy wild dude. So then drove to Pellissippi to eat and found out I had received a 4 piece nugget, small fries and a hamburger. I was so mad and sad because I didn't have much time before me 3pm class so had to drive all the way to Millertown and get my nuggets and come back to Pellissippi. I ended up being 15 minutes late to my class. I will not be returning to this Wendy's. They need to stop getting rid of my favorite staff and replacing it with Wild and crazy people. I've never had an issue at this location but today the girl on drive thru had no personality and was very short. Made ordering unpleasant. Then I was charged full price for what should have been a buy one get one for $1.00. My sandwich was smooshed and flat like a pancake. Lastly, I got the wrong change back, which was corrected at least. Maybe chalk it up to lunch time and she was overwhelmed but this was my first experience at this location that was less than great and definitely out of the ordinary. read more

worst customer service i have ever experienced!!! in the drive thru last night around 8:10 pm 10/23/2024 one other car in front of me i waited for 15 min. at the menu to get waited on there was only one car ahead of me i tried to complain about the wait that i was in a hurry and she told me "i don't know what to tell you i will have to wait she's busy" i waited for a couple more minutes and tried to complain again i was told to leave the drive thru and to leave the property so post covid 19.... prices go up and service goes down i have the whole interaction on my dash cam and i am considering posting it on line!!! 2 stars on yelp no wonder how embarrassing !!! read more

I got a bacon bourbon burger, a chicken Asiago sandwich, and two orders of nuggets. Everything was fine except the fries were cold-Ish and a little under done. I thought the bacon bourbon cheese burger was pretty tasty and the texture of the bacon and onion strings was nice. This was the first time I tasted the Asiago chicken, and I thought it was okay. I was skeptical of this wind is because it only had two stars on yelp but I came for a late night Salad. Service was FAST. They had my salad ready with fresh chicken in like sixty seconds. We have placed mobile orders from this location twice in the last 16 days and the lights have been turned off while we were in the drive thru waiting on the staff to answer through the speaker. The first time, on October 2, 2021 the staff literally walked out the door with their Large drinks and bags of food while we were waiting in the drive thru for someone to answer to confirm our mobile order that had already been placed and accepted. Tonight, October 18, 2021, we placed another mobile order and pulled up to the speaker to confirm our mobile order (also already placed and accepted in the app), only to hear a recorded message "Our store is closed....please visit us again" on a loop. It was 7:51pm. Then we noticed a vehicle in the drive thru while the restaurant lights were still on. We thought we'd attempt to get our food. We sat there for 10 minutes and when the vehicle pulled away, the staff turned off the lights and closed the window and walked away. I know they've had a hard time hiring people, but this is ridiculous. Wendy's you have a big fancy speaker box to tell people "our store is closed...please visit us again", you need to update your app to say "STORE CLOSED due to staff walking out!" read more

We aren't big on fast food. When we do eat fast food, most likely it's going to be Bojangles or Zaxby's. However after 11 p.m. those locations are closed and when you're faced with McDonalds, Crystal, Burger King or Taco Bell, Wendy's is the better choice on that list. So after a concert in Knoxville we drove through here on our way to Bristol and the line took some time. As a matter of fact the car in front of us and behind us simply left and drove off as they got tired of waiting. We waited about 10 minutes with two cars in front of us, but we can't complain because they got our order correct. And to be honest the Baconator is probably one of the better fast food hamburgers in all of the above mentioned locations. The bacon was crispy instead of microwaved like you would get at some of the other places and for the price we can't complain. We were patient and when we got to the front of the line the staff was apologetic and did their best to accommodate us. Thank you for that. Very unclean and smelly. The cashier had no idea what she was doing or how to work the computer. The bathrooms stunk. That funk that you try and clean or cover up stunk. Food was so horrible. The chicken nuggets were cold and tasted like metal. Very weird metallic chicken nuggets. Onions on burger were 100% old. The fries were cold and the chili, once again had a very metallic taste. Not even crowded and the lobby is closed but would not let a truck driver from next doors truck stop walk up to order at the window! Trucks bring their food last time I checked so this location is no go and doesn't deserve my money anyway! They have a 2.5 rating overall so obviously they don't have good food or customer service! I even called ahead of time and the person said no...I've done walk ups all over the country bc of the pandemic we are in and it's never been a problem! The friendliest traditional fast-food place I've ever been to. The manager even came out to see how we were doing and if we needed anything, which sadly isn't even any more done at most "real" restaurants. Pretty stand-up representation for the national chain other than that they apparently sometimes run out of things, as they weren't certain they had apple slices, but they quickly checked. read more

We were starving! We spent the evening in Cade's Cove in the Smokies and just got back in Knoxville. Jumped off at Straw Plains where our hotel is. We rolled down the street and the lights were off outside. We thought, maybe just the drive through is open. But it was like 8 o'clock pm. Walked up to the door and the hours weren't on the door, but the door was unlocked. Went inside, no customers, but looked open. Cool. Right to the front of the line. I place my order and the cashier looks at me and says, "Oh that breeze felt good." I said, long day? She replied, "No, not really. I can't wait to go back to my psychiatrist to get off this medicine. We spent about 10 minutes standing in line (maybe it just felt that long) while the cashier prepared the order for the person two ahead of us (without first taking the next order). After taking the next person's order, she spent another few minutes complaining about being understaffed and relating an anecdote about how another employee accepted obviously fake money (in an apparent attempt to justify having a manager verify a $50 bill). When she finally deigned to take my order--a single frosty--she told me that the chocolate (which I wanted) was broken. This Wendy's location is very near my house and I've often dined here or grabbed food to go. In recent years, I've noticed a real decline in quality of food and service. Food has often been left out of my bag. Sometimes discovered before pulling away, but many times not. Tonight, my husband's chicken sandwich was left out; my stepson's was inedible, with strange hard spots; and my fries were old and waxy. We three most off the food away. When the manager of the location cannot get a order correct at the drive thru that should tell you the level of service from this location. You don't want to have to spend time going through the bag with people waiting so you get ripped off by this location. No way I ever visit it again.
