A quick stop for coffee and we decided to go in. This to be able to add our own ice cubes to the legendary hot coffee. The restaurant was clean and quite empty at 9:30 AM on a Sunday. My wife was very impressed with the kiosks near the registers for ordering your food but we opted to go to the register for our large coffee. Just left this location. They OWE US 20 dollars. Our bill was 14.70... we handed them 50 dollar bill and 70 cents in change... she handed us back a 10, 5 and a 1. Not only that, I am severely allergic to pork and they put pork on both my sandwiches after we asked three times to ensure the proper order was placed. Ticket number 49 at 6:57 10/16/2022. The manager was unapologetic, DID NOT give us the change back. The manager said that the drawer wasn't wrong but she didn't even attempt to ask the employee about the situation. Makes good food, but does not always follow orders on online orders!! I ordered these in the past and the crew did not listen or pay attention to details! Order 1: 2 triple cheeseburgers with no pickles and extra cheese. Got 0 extra cheese and they only had one burger that had no pickles the other had 20 extra pickles!! Order 2: caramel macchiato with extra caramel syrup and caramel drizzle!! One is a pump of Carmel the other is the drizzle they put on top of whipped cream. Failed to do both but I was charged for these. I paid for something I never got. Happened (3 times in the past 2 weeks)!! Extra Syrup adds ($1) the drizzle adds ($0.30) to the order. A $5 drink becomes $8 after tax!! Now $8x3=$24 I wasted!! Now I can accept that mess ups happen but remember when you sale something that the customer never receives or gets something they did not order is called a scam!! Everybody should know better than to order from McDonald's especially strawberry plains and Millertown Pike they do not hire people that know how to read they do not hire people that know how to do their job. All they know how to do is just order people to fill positions. Every time that I order from either one of those McDonald's I never get what I ordered. They think but a quarter pounder with cheese is a fish sandwich they think a fish sandwich is a quarter powder with cheese. How could they get the stuff wrong and then they give it to delivery drivers such as Uber eats DoorDash and so forth, and expect their customers to be happy. Just below your standard McDonald's quality location. Some food and other stuff on the floor in front the cashier area. Both double cheeseburgers tasted like they had been sitting for way to long. I think a toddler could've thrown the burgers together better than what they were. The chicken nuggets were fresh and hot and the coffee was okay. The french fries were average. I had visions of a McFlurry. I just didn't know what kind I wanted. M&M? Butterfinger? Hmm. It all vanished the moment I stepped into the restroom. When I had to roll up my pants, because I was afraid of letting them touch the floor. When I considered taking my toddler to another place. When there were "things better left unsaid" everywhere. Usually we depend on McDonalds for our stops. Not this one. A person even came in to ask about the condition of the restroom. I told her and trusted that she would solve the issue, only to return to see that she just emptied the trash, and left behind everything else. I would like to believe she had intentions to return. Somehow, I just don't know. As there were individuals eating there, and I did not because I had lost my appetite, I can not rate the food. I took grandchildren to get after school snack. In drive thru lane 1, the employee said she would be with me, then she took 6 other cars, 4 of which drove up after I did. The employee kept saying I'll be right with you and laughing. She thought it was very funny. I took grandchildren inside to place order. the same woman, she had the headset on, waited on us. She was rude. I told her I would not be back. She said well we are very busy and short staffed. There were two other customers inside besides me. She continued to laugh. She has some serious problems. I will NEVER return to this Mc Donald's. I take my grandchildren for snakes after school, and during summer. Guess I'll drive the extra distance and take them to Jefferson City. Both grand kids used the restroom. Both said it was nasty. And there was no toilet tissue in the bathroom. Horrible service. This is a continuing experience with the Ferris owned McDonald's. I live 1 mile from the Strawberry Plains location and very few times you go there can you get what you went for. I just left there wanting a dipped cone. Nope the ice cream machine wasn't working. Night before last it was a orange slushy or freeze whatever it's called. Nope out of mix. Every time I visit this location the dining room is dirty and the soda station is a disaster. While using the drive thru I have consistently gotten the wrong thing or things omitted from my order. In the evening hours, the establishment is hit or miss when using the drive thru. It is a poor reflection of the franchise. If you like other fast food places close to them, go there. read more

Tonight all I ordered was a 20 piece nugget and 2 kids meals place my order and pick it up at Drive thru get home and discover that they left out the fries in both kids meals. And strangely enough, they didn't put any salt on their French fries which is very odd for any restaurant in Tennessee. The food was very dry without salt and buffalo sauce. Stopped in for lunch on a road trip. There were two people in line and an employee directed me to a kiosk. I was skeptical at first but I figured, what could go wrong? I placed my order of a chicken sandwich, fries, and a chocolate shake and it did not spit out a receipt, the employee told me that I would have to place my order again on another kiosk. This seemed strange but I did anyway. At this point I could have already placed my order at the counter so I was a little miffed. A couple minutes after I placed my second order, my first order came up and I explained to the person at the counter what happened, she got a manager for me. At this time she also explained that they were out of chocolate shakes so I would have to get something else, like a mocha frappe. I was really annoyed at this since you can get a chicken sandwich and fries anywhere, but I had to get my chocolate shake. After some confusion with the manager, she refunded my money for the first order but tried to charge me for a chocolate shake. I told her I wasn't going to pay for something I didn't order. Ok now that I'm home and calmed down a little. This is kind of a lengthy rant. To the management at the Strawberry Plains Tennessee McDonald's. I was in your dining room earlier today when a younger man walked in and sat down he made a call on his phone, I am presuming to his wife. He talked in a quiet manner trying to keep to himself. I overheard his conversation that he was having. He was trying to explain how he had exhausted all of his attempts to find formula for their daughter. He explained he was now not sure if he had enough gas in his truck to make it home. So he pulled into the parking lot of the gas station next door. He came to the McDonald's with two dollars worth of pocket change to buy what looked like possibly his first and only meal of the day. As he ate he went on to explain that the VA was taking an extremely long time to approve any of his benifits since his medical discharge over a year ago. He spoke a somber I love you to his wife hung up the phone and returned to his dollar menu cheeseburger with no fries or drink. I was setting a few tables over eating lunch with my boy. I got up decided to offer some support. After some small conversation I learned he was in the support artillery brigade attached to my unit when I was stationed with the 65th Engineers. I handed him a $10 for some gas and I bought him a fry and drink to go with his burger. He was very reluctant to accept any offers of help from me even knowing we were "Battles". When I returned with his fry and drink the Management was not far behind as I set the food down on the table for him the management, a short black haired woman with a neck tattoo and very distasteful demeanor asked us both to leave. "WE DON'T TOLERATE PANHANDLING OR BEGGARS HERE!" She spoke this loud enough to attract the attention of every one in the store. I asked why I was asked to leave and she responded with "We don't allow enablers in here either". She then instructed him to give me back my money and told us to leave again or she would call the police. He gave me back the money and quickly ran back to his truck leaving his food behind. After I demanded a to go bag i grabbed his food and my boy and left. I was not wanting any more of this scene in front of my boy. Outside I caught up with the man in the gas station parking lot. He was now humped over on his steering wheel crying. I handed him his food and drink and told him to pull up to the pumps and I would buy him some gas. Once we got his truck pushed to the pump (empty tanks don't get you that far) I paid for $20 in gas and gave him the $10 back again for some help in getting formula for his daughter, I then helped him contact K.A.R.M and secured a place for him, his wife, and daughter to stay for a few nights. The unit we served in had a saying "Give up, Give in, Or give it your all!" As I told him this it seemed to lighten his heart a little. With a handshake we parted ways. I am ashamed of the conduct of your establishment. The unprofessional, and uncalled for behavior is deplorable to say the least if not repugnant. The fact that you'll kick someone out for having a hard time in life is outrageous. Then you expelled the person that was willing to stand up and help. I will not be back to that location if any of your locations ever again. This is yet another reason why fast food employees don't need or deserve a higher wage.
