After ordering I went into restroom to wash my hands. A pipe behind the toilet was gushing water, after washing I went back out and told server, she said "I Know" Went to soda machine and the floor was covered with a clear sticky syrup. Being understaffed is an issue, however, the lack of direction from a supervisor or manager just amplifies the problems even more. Long wait times when they are not even busy and lack of attention to the bathrooms are sure signs that no one is managing. Have been visiting this Wendy's for well over 5 years as I'm a local and time and time again they prove to me as to why I never go there. Terrible attitudes terrible service. Just visited and was told to wait at the drive thru menu while there was no one in line OR dining in. As I left because I was tired of waiting and the poor customer service they have conditioned me to be used to I was greeted with a smug look from an employee hanging halfway out the drive thru window as I passed by. I got food poisoning three weeks ago Father's Day weekend from this location I had gotten a crispy chicken blt sandwich with fries was very disappointed with overall taste old soggy fries and the attitude of the employees on the drive thru speaker and window ‍ I work fast food I know how it can be but they weren't busy (probably why we got old fries). I've come to this place a few times and have had some pretty interesting experiences, some of which were unpleasant but I will say there is one young lady about 5'3, always has a bun who has earned their name at wendy's and forever in my heart. This fiery red head has worked almost EVERYTIME i've gone into this establishment, always trying her best and always working hard. I originally had an issue with my food, she then remade my order PERFECTLY and politely apologized for the inconvenience. I will return only for this redhead. read more

First off this place deserves zero stars and I'm questioning the existence of this franchise because of what just occurred. I'm not one to complain whatsoever but this is ridiculous. Your team member at the drive through window hands me a cup and that's clearly overflowing and it goes all over my work clothes. Now keep in mind that I'm in the insurance business so I have to spend a little on my attire to look professional. So the kid has cost me $140 at this point. I go inside and I ask to speak to the manager so I can explain and see what she can do about it. I calmly and kindly explain what happened and she immediately hits me with, " What do you want me to do about it? " with the most condescending voice I have ever heard. This place was awful went there on July 19 2023 I order a 4 dollar bag and small chill beans. I got up there and paid $8.21 I got a bag with small chill bean and a sweet tea. Then they gave two more to my mom which was a separte order a small chill bean and 5 dollar bag . I kept waith to get my little boy I was so busy eating the soup with no beans and chill beans she started to pull off I told her was my boy food they did not give it to me so we went back around There was I different woman up All I asked Her can I please have my food I got a liitle loud so she could hear she told that I was not going to talk to her like that all I want was my food which they did evenually give to me. But she call me a lair and am the type of person that do not lie. she did not hand me anything. I was a little tick off if I was really mad then she might want to get out the way because I was not that mad. They could back and look at the caermas I see we only got three bags not four. I work in fast foods before but you do not treated your customers like that I had not been here in two years I was not even going to get nothing but my liitle boy wand chicken nuggetts I was going home to eat so I know what I would get in my food because I taste all the food in bag I was afaird they spit on it. If that woman do not want to do her job right then she should not be there. But the other girl was nice to us and I thank you for that. They don't have the avocado chicken sandwich anymore which deeply disturbs me, i need the avocado sandwich to live it is my very being, my note to Wendy's is please bring the sandwich back, please, also a majority of the time that I ordered the delicious sandwich from heaven they either didnt grill the chicken or didnt put avocado on it, i took this as a direct insult of course, I was very sad and angered, again, please bring it back and work on your preparation. Slow as all get out. If you are on the interstate looking for a quick lunch this isn't it. Took 15 with no answer at the drive up with a broken screen, 30 mins just to get "fast food". Go to Bojangles or McDonald's across the street. This place doesn't care about your business. read more

Food is what you'd expect but be prepared to wait...they only have 2 registers with only 1 usually open. The other places on this exit have at least 4 registers...all working. The boss with the tattoos can be mean to the help in front of the guests. read more

Keep on moving. The service at this Wendy's is horrible at best. The young lady working the drive thru window Saturday night at 7pm on November 21, 2020 was extremely rude. Our order was wrong from our drinks to leaving our sandwiches out of our entire meal. When I asked she argued with me. She then turned and asked someone (she called a manager) and realized she had not given us our entire order. No apologies. Just handed it out of the window and wanted me to leave. I then tried to explain it still wasnt right and told her their service "sucks tonight" he reply was "so do you and your momma" I just laughed. What do you say to such ignorance. Customer service is lost for ever at this place. The food was substandard at best. This has been an ongoing issue at this store for years. I had hoped it would improve because there isnt another Wendy's for 30 miles. I hate my family and I drove out of our way to eat here. Well never again. Worst fast food I have ever been served! Home style chicken sandwich I bought was so old that a plastic knife could not cut it in half and the bun was so old it tore. I asked the manager for a replacement. The replacement was hot and would have been okay if it did not have an excessive amount of mayonnaise that caused it to no longer qualify as a sandwich. The cashier who took my order had to try four times to ring up the order correctly. In addition there were no cups to put ketchup in for my fries so I had to use several napkins to pump some on for my fries which by the time I got the replacement sandwich. I am retired and it was the first time I had treated myself to eat out in months. Also, the employees were goofing off the entire time. I felt depressed driving home because I felt I spent my money without any satisfaction. I felt remorse for customers coming off I-77 to eat there. Will never go back. read more

We came to Elkin to fly fish. We went through the drive-thru. I knew it was a huge mistake when we got the order handed to us almost as soon as we told what we wanted!! I went to Wendy's #10754 in Winston-Salem and was horrified to see the employees rotate between handling food and money, with no gloves. This is a serious health violation and I have half a mind to report them. Incidentally, this happened the last time I went, too, but I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt, only to witness the same unsanitary behavior again. We stopped at lunch time with a group of 30-they told us to be patient because they were short staffed. They must work at warp speed if they are completely staffed!! It was awesome!! They took each student's name to organize the orders, everything was correct and we were completely through the line in less than 10 minutes. I was pleased to see that they claim excellent customer service on the side of the bldg. However, this is not the case. I ordered a single burger with specific condiments. When I went to pick up my to go order, I saw on the receipt a condiment that I did NOT want and did not ask for. When I asked the girl for a new one, she said it was too late. The sandwich had already been made. I had to buy a second sandwich. This is horrible customer service and I will not be back. read more
