Fast Food is Fast Food. That's what many say when it comes to these kind of joints spread across the United States. So does this make Wendy's a shining star for the fast food industry? Yes and no.... I happen to enjoy their hamburgers and chicken nuggets along with their "old-fashioned" lemonade but was it out of this planet? Be prepared to walk into a store with sticky floors, one bathroom, very dirty dining room, and people that just don't care working. We came in to order and a kid slowly walks up from the dining room to take our order... he was not cleaning he was sitting on his phone, I'm assuming if he was in his break he would not have a head set on or someone would be covering the register, and we just so seemed to bother him by waking in. After we waited about 10 minutes for our food we hear from the back oh you need a double made why didn't you tell me.. during this time another person walked in so the first guy we talked to came out of the dining room again and took the order and started helping with food with out washing his hands and shoved gloves in his pockets... our order was wrong so I went back up front and the guy goes "whats wrong" I told him what was wrong and he rolled his eyes got it remade correctly. Wendy's: 2988 West Ridge Rd., Rochester NY: first time at this location. I ordered a single with everything (light mayo) and a spicy chicken (light mayo). I asked for both sandwiches to be made to order (nice and hot). Both were COLD (sitting for some time) and had heavy mayo. Yup, I DO NOT plan to come back here This location needs to have managers on duty who are watching what the employees are doing. Note: after writing my review, I read the reviews that were the most recent and they all were consistent with my experience. I travel all around the country for work. Ironically, the Wendy's restaurant closes to my home is the one on West Ridge Road (NY Rt 104) in Greece New York. This Wendy's is easily the worst I've encountered. If there are more than 3 cars in the drive through, you can expect at least a 30-minute wait. I can't remember ever not being told at the 2nd window to park my car. Last night, I went up the Greece store at 7:40 pm only to be told by the employee locking the door that the restaurant (that Google says is open until 1am) was closed. I drove to the next town over and purchased our dinners from the Wendy's restaurant in Gates NY. It was a very good meal with great friendly service. According to Wendy's website, a junior bacon cheeseburger consists of a beef patty, applewood smoked bacon, American cheese, crisp lettuce, tomato, and Heinz mayo. Extremely unprofessional. Just a bunch of teenagers fooling around and not working. The drive thru line was out onto ridge road. I waited for my food for 25 minutes along with multiple cars all parked in parking spots all waiting for food. I came to this location with my kids and was unfortunate to witness theft and poorest level of customer service. First I witnessed two additional customer before me in the drive through have issues with there order. It happens right. Not three times in a row though. I ordered two meals, a large number six and a medium number twelve, a spicy chicken sandwich and a Hot Honey sandwich. I was asked to pull forward and wait for my order. I did. I waited 10 minutes for our order and the manager brought me one sandwich to my van not two meals. Needless to say I paid $27 for two meals and only received two drinks. I asked the manager for a refund and explained that the white girl at the window was rude and him bringing me one sandwich well that was my breaking point. The manager said sure I can give you a refund and I followed him inside. He tells the same girl who was rude to me he was refunding me, she tells him we no longer provide refund. Another red flag is how the manager did not know that. So I asked for a phone number and some names the manager wrote his name down as Isaiah but he didn't write down the name of the rude girl. Fine. I left and called the number who belonged to a Chris. No answer. I left a voice message. I will never recommend anyone eat at this location. It never seems to fail...I go to Wendy's to grab a quick drive thru lunch once in a very great while and I'm ALWAYS disappointed . What I get to bring home for my son is usually fine. But I get salads. I like the grilled chicken bacon avocado. They 99.9% of the time NEVER put the darn avocado on it. Am I supposed to always check everything before I leave?? It's a Wendy's, they're all the same, right? Not according to my grandmother. My grandmother is an old world Italian, she refuses to eat at a restaurant and insists on preparing her own meals. Why? Because everything she eats must be perfect. According to her, this Wendy's location is absolutely perfect. The food is consistent, the employees are super friendly (a rarity in the fast food industry!) and the food comes out incredibly fast. The premises are always clean, organized, and the condiment bar is well stocked. I am trying so hard to give this place a good review but I just can't. Late last night we went to drive thru. It was close to midnight. The voice came across the speaker and stated card machine is down and they can only take cash. I'm not sure this is even true. I asked how late they were open and she said until 12:30. I know that it's Wendy's and it's fast food, but please there is a limit to how bad things are getting. I purchased an original W combo and it was just nasty. I ended up throwing the entire thing out. The hamburger had a piece of old lettuce that came from the outer edge of the head. It was the end piece. It had just one ring of an onion and it was very small. The hamburger patties themselves where thin, small and would have even looked tiny if they had been used as sliders. Not at all what I paid for, not at all what they advertise. The large fries that ordered had been cooked in old tainted oil and I never made it past the first few bites.
