I work at as a wendys associate at another store and i was appalled coming in here. There was no line and no wait, or there shouldn't have been!!! The dinning room was a mess almost every table had crumbes and the floor a mess. I know what the menu is and they gave us regular buns instead of premium buns. The wait was terrible it took 20 minutes for 4 sandwiches all medium combos with no wait ahead of us. The condiment station was a disaster and most if the drinks on one machine were out.

Stopped in here for a quick bite as we were passing through town for home. This Wendy's is never very busy so we stepped right up to order a few of our favorite things. You can't go wrong with some chili and a frosty. The chili is nice and hot with crackers on the side. I like to put mine on a baked tater. We tried the new Chicken Ranch homestyle sandwich. It looked delish on the menu board, but came out with a huge chunk of bad lettuce. We picked that off and ate it anyway :( We always seem to order from the $ menu and get more bang for our buck! Can't beat a Jr. Bacon Chz burger or the chicken nuggets. They have the fancy new push-button soda machine, so you can pick and choose while mixing and matching! Dining area was a little dirty. The tables needed to be wiped down, so we sat at a small table. There were kids inside playing tag, while they waited for their mom to come pick them up. A bit annoying but we made it through ok. Bathrooms were ok. With a family of girls, its nice to pitstop at a "2-holer" toilet! Tips and Tricks.... For a lite bite, get a jr. frosty! Just big enough to sample but not enough to get full. Try putting the chili ON the baked tater--get cheese and fresh onion sprinkled on the chili too. That's an option that they may not ask but WE know it's the way to eat chili! Don't be afraid to get your food the way you want it...especially if they mess it up!

We walked in at about 9:40 pm. The kitche closes at 10. We wouldn't have been surprised to be turned away, but the wonderful woman covering the bar and kitchen, forties, glasses, dark hair, was very friendly and gracious. She also took excellent care of us, despite really having to hustle. I had the pulled pork tacos and my wife had the teriyaki wings. The tacos(I ordered two)were stuffed with pulled pork that was very tasty, and came with crema, a sweet relish salsa, and cheese(a slight upcharge). My tacos came with tortilla chips that were crispy and well salted. My wife liked her wings. If we're passing through again, we would definitely stay in Evanston and have a meal at Lincoln Highway Tavern.

Hints of sweet sauce with sautéed onions and peppers. The onion rings were perfect and delicious... as always the service is on point. One of the only places that coffee didn't disappoint, wanted strong coffee and got it . Food was beyond good, huge and great for pricing, was stacked full but we got our food way quick. We were seated at a table in far end of the room. Once seated it's hard to get in and out from the wall seat because the table are pretty close together. I ordered the Spinach, Mushroom and Swiss 4 Egg Omelet. They asked me if I wanted 2 or 4 eggs and I chose 4. As a substitute for the potatoes, I opted to choose the avocado which came as a slice 1/2 of avocado. For my toast option, I chose the single pancake, but could also have chosen a scone. The scone wasn't on the menu as a option, so I missed this when I ordered. My omelet was very flavorful, although a bit dense. I attributed that to the 4 eggs fitting into a 2 egg form factor, but I really don't know that for sure. The avocado was a good complement to the omelet and worked out very well. The pancake was delicious. There was syrup on the table and butter came on the plate. I gobbled it right down and thought that I maybe should have got another one. I have eaten here before when I was in the area, and will likely return again when up here. The busy nature of the restaurant is offset by the good quality food.

The name leads you to believe it was a Mexican restaurant, but they actually had Italian, American, and Mexican offerings on the menu. I had looked at the online menu before arriving and found that the prices were about $4.00 higher online than on the menu inside the restaurant. The hostess was friendly and welcomed us with a smile. She seated us quickly and there were not too busy. The waitress was efficient with taking our order, but the food seemed a little slow to come out based on the number of customers. I ordered the Avocado Eggs Benedict. It was very tasty and the avocado complemented the traditional eggs benedict well. It came with hashbrowns that were cooked like I like them, not too crispy but not mushy or soggy either. The waitress came by regularly and kept our drinks full. I took an order of buffalo chicken wings to-go. When we opened them to eat later, the lettuce they put in the to-go box was all wilted. The carrots and celery were pretty tiny and didn't add much to the dish. The blue cheese dipping sauce was a good flavor and offset the buffalo sauce well. The chicken wings were smaller and not anything special. I would recommend the breakfast here, but suggest skipping the chicken wings.
