So I stop here often. But truthfully I'm stopping less. And it's for the same reason. I'm not a fan of the kiosk. As today I try to put in my regular order. And it wouldn't let me make a normal change. That is to sub a chili for the fries. After a few tries I go to the counter to order. Then the young lady tell me I have to use the kiosk. Then come out to train me to take the order. I had no part of it. I instead just walked out. And when across the street I BK. Now I know things are changing. But bad customer service should not be one of them. Also while this interaction was going on the manager just looked on instead of offering help. This is a pretty convenient stop for fuel and food and coffee right off the 5 where the 505 merges on. One of the reasons I picked Wendy's , is because they have going now a deal for $2.00 Dave's double cheeseburgers if you order on the app or online. There's even a $1.00 deal for a single burger that normally goes for like $6.50! This double cheeseburger sell for $8.50, but you can get it for just $2.00? Heck yeah! I suppose they expect you to order more stuff they can make the money back on, but me? I just get water and that's it, so my bill is just $2.00 ... somehow I do get a kick outta that! The burger was made fresh for me cause I wanted extra mayo, catsup and onions and tomato ... yep all free included! No prob with the pick up, they just made it and gave it to me! It's a very meaty burger with those 2 square patties and made all tasty with the lettuce, tomato, cheese and onion. Ordered through door dash and my horrible door dasher stole my food I had waited an hr and decided on my lunch break to just go pick it up. Get there and a lady was trying her hardest to help me and was trying to figure out what was going on with my door dash. We always stop here on the way up to, and when we're leaving, Clearlake. You can get gas, and a variety of properly prepared and tasty food (pizza, Cinnabon, Wendy's, fried chicken). They have the cleanest restrooms in the area and I also just realized they have showers as well. I'm assuming they're for the truckers who are on the road a lot. Amazing little place to eat. I got the shrimp and fish tacos. OMG. The best I ever had! Super good and so so fresh. Tasted like they jumped in the ocean got it themselves and cooked it. She greeted everyone that came in while we ate there, and knew a lot of people by name. She was so friendly and sincere and even provided us with some local knowledge of the area we are moving to up north. Nothing like a freeway Wendy's. Service was quick, food was good. Things we liked: They had the new plastic ketchup cups, Paternity Court was on the flatscreen which proved to be very entertaining, very fast order, generous BBQ sauce, ample seating. Things we didn't like: They mislead you into ordering a larger size by saying "would you like medium or large" like they are the only options, soda selection was standard. If you feel guilty after eating at a truck stop Wendy's they even have showers available to wash away the shame. read more

I don't do fast food often, maybe 4-5 times a year while traveling, and I haven't been to Wendy's in 15-20 years. On A Monday 2 weeks ago I was coming down I-5 and stopped at this Wendy's and got a burger called the baconator or something like that. This was one of the best burgers I've ever eaten, and the best I've had in the last 5-10 years, and maybe in the top ten burgers I've ever eaten over the last 40 yrs. holy crap. It was just so good. I usually toss a drive through burger half way through, but I ate the whole thing and didn't even eat my fries. I was too busy tripping out on how good the burger was, I didn't listen to the radio for 45 min. Whatever they're doing at this Wendy's, keep it up and don't change a thing. Typical food establishment. Located in a truck stop. Only rates it low because of the time to receive food. Friends ordered a chicken salad. Waited for 10 minutes to get food.
