When you order on Doordash and the item is sold out, there needs to be a way that the restaurant can let you know an item is sold out BEFORE you place the order. I wanted to try the new chicken tenders and did NOT want the chicken nuggets that I have had before. I would not have ordered Doordash if the website OR the staff at Wendy's could have informed me (other than just giving me other options). Restaurants have the ability to edit and change their menus on Doordash and when they ran out of tenders, Wendy's should have made that change OR LET PEOPLE KNOW WHEN THEY RECEIVE A 4 PIECE NUGGET INSTEAD OF THE TENDERS. This has been constantly the worst fast food restaurants I've ever been too. Every single time I drive by or have gotten food here crew works are smoking outside with 1 or no one inside the building. You can always coming know you will be missing at least one part of your meal. You know, living in Cincinnati, I only successfully get served UNSWEETENED iced about 8 out of 10 times. 80%. Two out of every ten orders for unsweetened nets me a sweet tea. I think it's passive-aggressiveness on the part of the employees. I grabbed Wendy's on the way home from work today. A "Dave's Classic" and a large UNSWEETENED iced tea. We don't eat fast food much but we were short on time and usually Wendy's is good quality. We got our kid some nuggets and fries, my wife had the same, I had the spicy chicken meal. Nothing was hit. Everything was like warm. The fries in every meal were soggy. Almost tasted like when you microwave fries after they'd been cooked previously. The nuggets were tasteless. This is my go to location, and rarely do I have any complaints. After all...it's fast food. It's not meant to be the best tasting in a given area. The last time I was there on the weekend for lunch, the lobby was locked up. No sign explaining why. This was at 11:30am, well into lunch time. Placed a mobile app order for pick at 1:55. They did make the order. They said I first had to check in before they make the order. Why would I pick a time? If I could give this place zero stars, I would. They are woefully understaffed, and no matter when you arrive, you have to wait forever. This evening I waited in line for nearly fifteen minutes at the drive through, and after having arrived at the speaker, waited over five minutes for them to even take my order (which was missing items). I have been there four times in the last month and every single time service was unbearably slow. Even though it is less than a quarter mile from my house, I will no longer patronize this location when I want a salad. The Anderson Twp location is much further away, but I can drive there and back and get my order in less time than at the Mt. Washington location, which is practically next door. This Wendy's is terrible. You wait forever to order, then wait forever for your food. You would think since it takes so long to get your food, they are making it fresh and it will be hot. NOPE, I don't think I have ever gotten food even remotely warm from this location. The nuggets always taste like they have been sitting for hours, and same with the fries. They never give you sauce and they always forget part of your order. Yet somehow it still takes forever to get your food. There are always workers standing at the register talking and messing around with each other too. We tried to place an order using the drive-thru speaker. No response at the first few polite "hellos", then very, very low volume voice we couldn't understand. I said, " I'm sorry, I can't hear you.'' Female voice then says, "Pull around." When we pull up to the window, a female employee is kind of hanging out the window, glaring menacingly. She loudly says, " I ask you your order!" Seriously, she looks and sounds like she's about to jump out the window and try to beat my ass. Hella crazy. I calmly reply that I couldn't hear her. She just stands there glaring for another few seconds, then leaves the window and starts loudly talking and laughing with a couple other employees. Like an idiot, I still order two chicken salads from a male employee who came to the window. We get home and there's no chicken on either salad. Ten bucks for some lettuce. Since last August, there have been so many improvements at this location, that I actually enjoy going here on a regular basis. The new manager understands the struggle with finding and keeping good, honest, hard-working employees and he has made great progress.
