My experiences at this Wendy's have been so bad at times I consider getting a a part time job here to help out. Be prepared to wait in line for over an hour and if it's within the hour before closing time you will not get any food. Every time I go here this Wendy's is soooooo slow. And the food is always cold. I had the most interesting experience ever the other day when I was there. To make a long story short, I ordered and pulled up. I got to the window and paid and then they shut the little window per usual. Then out of nowhere I hear the female employee yelling F$&@ like 6 times to the other employee. Like I get it you have issues at work it happens. But for your paying customer to hear that through the glass pane window and over the car running you have to be talking pretty darn loud. Never cared much for customer service as I've worked in customer service myself, just care if the product is correct in a timely fashion. Nothing against the works I think they do ok, one though that works the drive in window is great at her job from what I can tell. Ok first think the frosty machine is out of order or a flavor isn't available 3 out of 5 times I go, that's rediculous. 2nd, something is missing or wrong way to often with the food you order. Do not expect to have anything correct. I typically only go here because my girlfriend likes the salads. But even on our most recent stop by we ordered four items and not a single one was correct. We ordered a medium ice water and small vanilla frosty for the pets, a large chocolate frosty, and a medium chocolate frosty. Simple right? Apparently not... what we got was a large ice water, two small chocolate frosties, and a medium vanilla frosty. Really guys? Not a single item out of four cups. When did service with a smile and basic politeness become optional? I mean, the service in general sucks (slow, messed up orders, broken equipment, etc). However, it would at least get another star from me if the people who worked there had some basic courtesy and politeness. Now, I know, it's just a minimum wage job but, damn, can't they say "Thanks!" or "Please" or anything other than a grunt or just a surly stare as they hand me my food? Sure, I'm exaggerating a little bit. For instance, today the obviously new, in training employee said, "Here you go man". I mean, for this Wendy's that's practically a warm embrace! Waited over 30 minutes even though only one car was in front of me. Outside of the fries, the rest of my meal was lukewarm at best. Have you been to a Wendy's before? Well then you know what the food is like. Pretty standard fare. Lately Wendy's has been trying to amp up it's offerings more "gourmet" salads and burgers. I also do enjoy Wendy's more than many other fast food restaurants due to it's more healthy offerings such as baked potatoes and chili. So in terms of Wendy's and other chain restaurants people are familiar with, I think the most relevant thing is service and cleanliness and quality of end product. The service is good at certain times of day. However late night service during the weekend is dreadful when only the drive through is available. The line can be long and the employees are frazzled. Make sure that you have EVERYTHING you ordered and need before driving away from the window. One time we drove away and were missing a drink and a sandwich for a group of about 5 people. So we just left them because getting back in the line would not have been worth it. Luckily we had boys in the car that bought multiple sandwiches and it all worked out. Cleanliness is good as well. Never noticed anything out of the ordinary or that has stuck in my mind. Quality of end product is also decent. I've always gotten food that was warm when it should be and cold when it should be. Never gotten a hair in my food or anything. The lettuce and tomatoes in the salads and hamburgers are substandard but that's common with fast food restaurants. I've also always gotten the right amount of ice in my drinks. So this is 3 stars, but not because there's anything wrong with this Wendy's but because Wendy's isn't the best restaurant of all time. read more

I have been to this Wendy's twice and have had two terrible experiences. The first time, I shrugged off the bad experience and attributed the rude attitude of the employees to fatigue. This time, the guy working the drive through wouldn't let us finish our sentences. When I tried to tell him what I wanted to drink he cut me off and said I could tell him at the window. I went through the drive-thru and ordered two separate orders. First order was correct as I'm driving down the road and I check MY order and I don't have fries. So I have to drive 10mins back to the store to get my fries. Then I get an notice that I've been charged almost 3times as much as my order. I usually don't come to this location because I have always had an issue with customer service, and food quality. After not having been to this Wendy's in over 6 months I had a long day in carborro and my two toddlers were hungry so we decided to go in and take a chance. I was very shocked at the great service we got. The team member working at the counter (Gabby)was friendly and smiling to everyone my whole time there. It was very refreshing to see much a different atmosphere from the usual rude or oblivious workers that usually frequent that location. During my maybe 30 min visit gabby also came did a quick clean up of the lobby and spoke to every table. She seems like a great employee.my food was also all correct and fresh. The location for this Wendy's is fantastic. Because there are no drive-thrus in Chapel Hill and this is the closest one to downtown in Franklin Street. However, the staff is pretty unprofessional. I was giving my food without my receipt, then when I asked for my receipt I was ignored, then the guy came back and looked at me like I was some kind of an idiot, and then I asked again for my receipt and in a very unprofessional tone he remonstrated that it was going to take an entire hour. This was a meal during business hours. It is very important to me as a sole proprietorship to be able to write off business related expenses. First this is normally one of the better Wendy's around I even worked here for a week when Reagan was president. But today they are way off. Chili very runny. They must have turned the thing on way late. You have to start chili first thing. At least they used to. The beans were hard as well. On the night of July 12, the door was open for the inside dining. As a customer who is not from around that area, I assumed the inside of this Wendy's was open. As I approached the counter, a hispanic female "manager" ran towards the door and was yelling at me, stating: "You can not be in here, or I will call the cops!" Shocked, I looked over to the other employees and a male caucasian employee who then proceeded to yell, "GET OUT!". Stunned that she, as a "manager" handled this situation very unprofessionally as well as her employee, would definitely never recommend this establishment.
