I'm not too quick to write a put review but they have their place. For the 3rd time I am visiting Wendy's drive through and for the 3rd time I couldn't be more disappointed. This visit, on a Friday at dusk, cost me 22 minutes between ordering and paying. I was the first in line behind 1 other car at the order intercom- it's not as though the line was doubled back on itself like at in-n-out. Both of my other visits have been similar, though this was the worst. There is a second star because the staff was pleasant, at least. The food wasn't even warm. Ever since it has been opened, I've gone there 3 times. They never get my orders right. Something is either missing or "it wasn't ordered at the drive thru" when I've blatantly said my order clear. The people at the drive thru never repeat the order. I feel like the food is okay; if they were not so overwhelmed in the back maybe they'd be fine and not provide stale fries most of the time I'd be okay with the place. I've never went to a drive though multiple times and left upset. Most places ask if you want anything for sauces they never do. I feel like the workers need to be more trained before they're left on their own. And actually double check everything it'd be a better place. read more

Yep it's a Wendys. But this one is brand new. I mean Ultra new. It's got monster TVs for the menu it's got a TV playing the baseball game it's got a very interesting new floor plan to see different groups and different tables of people. It's got the brand new super duper whiz-bang Coke machines where you can choose anything under the sun. The staff is all new and getting used to things and everything was perfect for my visit. It's a Wendy's. If standard Wendys food. And it's consistent and it's fresh and it's Wendys. I just had to come and had this baby in and have a double burger. It was exactly as expected. I just went through the Drive thru and had no problems at all. I ordered and paid but there was a bit of a wait concerning my order. The man at the window (I believe his name is Glenn) was extremely nice and courteous as he asked if I would pull around to the front. I usually get upset when places do this, because they are simply rude about it and do it to fake their window times. Glenn explained the situation to me first and politely asked if I was willing to pull around. It's because of his exceptional attitude that I had no problem doing so. We need more people like him in the service industry. read more

Reading the other reviews, I'm a little confused. Either I have come on days those employees are not at work, or I just got lucky. I have been here multiple times, and the waits have been quick, and the customer service has been friendly and professional. (I should also note that I have been here early lunch time, late lunch time, off time, dinner time, and after dinner hours). The food is always hot, fresh, and tasty. Drive thru wait times have been minimal. The restaurant inside is always clean, and has a nice ambiance including a fireplace. My ONLY complaint really, is that their soda machine seems to frequently be out of flavors. read more

Having Wendy's in Atascadero again is great and when they first opened service was outstanding but has since gone way down hill especially in the drive through, it can take forever to order and get food! I keep giving this location a chance and am disappointed every time. I went in an ordered 2 chicken sandwiches, a potato, baconator fries and nuggets. I ordered at 8:02 and finally got my food at 8:22. The spicy chicken sandwich the chicken had to be made "fresh" and that is what took so long while it was cooking the nuggets and fries were put on a tray and left on the counter after 10 minutes I asked if they were mine and asked if they could at least be kept under the heat lamps they were just set in the back and not under the lamps. They then made the final sandwich and gave us the smallest potato I have ever seen it was so small I heard them talking about it I finally asked them to make the nuggets and the fries fresh as they had been sitting so long when I got home the fries were fresh but the nuggets were not. They gave me the potato and I had to ask for my butter and sour cream they hadn't put it in the bag. So needless to say this was the last time for Wendy's we won't be back. read more

We have gone to this Wendy's several times and always found it to be clean with good customer service. However, this past Labor Day weekend when we stopped, none of the employees were wearing masks. In addition, at 9:30 a.m. the bathrooms were dirty and not serviced for routine products (ie., no TP) When we informed the 3 young male employees of the problem they did not seem too concerned. We went to the McDonald's down the road in Paso where all were wearing masks and the place was clean. read more

Wendy's closed this location for years. When they re-opened I had high hopes things would be better than the average hamburger fast food restaurant. At first, they were very good. The drive thru employees were the best. Friendly, efficient, my order was always correct and fresh. Fast forward to today. After those first few months, I noticed that the quality of the employees and food were on a steady decline. My orders were frequently messed up. Long wait times sitting in line and cold food were becoming more frequent. Upon getting up to the window, the chaos inside was evident. It was obvious to me that these newer employees were nowhere near to being as competent as the ones who worked there when the place re-opened. From the looks of some of the reviews, my experiences are not unique. When the Wendy's management goes to figure out why their business is going into the toilet, they need not go any further than the quality of their employees. It will be interesting to see how this plays out, especially with other high quality hamburger restaurants getting ready to open in the near future. If things don't change, Wendy's may be forced to close this location a second time. read more

It is hard to believe this business has already failed once at this location, then boarded up and shuttered for years and then is remodeled and reopened to serve some of the worst fast food I have ever consumed. The french fries were lifeless and limp being soaked in oil for an eternity. My chicken nuggets were the most sad little shriveled up dry pieces of jerky the size of a quarter any one can imagine. If you have the pleasure of eating here I hope it is better than my experience as Wendys has once again lived up to its horrible reputation in Atown. Good luck. read more

I never write negative reviews and it's especially hard because I love Wendys but I feel obligated to after being served a burger that had 3 bites taken out of it. I opened it while I was In the car. I didn't go back because I had my kids. I called and immediately the manager answered and said he was the one making the burgers and I can make a complaint if I want. I don't want a free burger, I just want to give people a heads up. Shady service to say the least. read more

I can't say enough about this place. My kids and I stopped by the drive thru a little after 6:00p on Christmas Eve. The cashier told us they were closed, so as I wished her a Merry Christmas and proceeded to drive thru to find another food place Brigette (I assume the manager) flagged us down and asked if we wanted a Christmas Frosty. Never one too turn down a free Frosty, I accepted. Needless to say, what started out as a Frosty turned into a dozen or so chicken nuggets, two large fries and a loyal Wendy's customer for life. Even though it was Christmas Eve, and even though her and her crew were trying to get home, Brigette made this weary traveler and his two kids very happy and appreciative. A Few drawbacks are, the tables are not always clean or wiped down properly and the music gets a bit crazy for our age. Stopped by yesterday to try this fast food place for the first time. Very disappointed! They put some sloppy sauce on the hamburgers that makes the entire sandwich very wet and runny. By the time I reached home, the sauce had soaked through the wrapping and the bottom of the bag was wet and ready to break! I couldn't taste the pickles, onion, lettuce or tomato because everything was so wet and runny! Yuck! I used the napkins provided to clean up the bun so I could eat the cheeseburger! Awhile back, I had gone through and ordered a triple burger with no bun (I know. I'm low-carbing, and yes it does suck). They accidentally gave me a single, and that was okay. Accidents happen. However, I paid in full for a triple, and that's a fair price difference. Next time I went, I politely told them about it. I paid for my meal, but they did give me a coupon for a free meal next time to make up for it. For any combo I wanted. Weeks later, I'm like, "Hey I forgot about this coupon. I'm going to use it." I go to the drive thru and I'm like "Hey yeah. I have a coupon for any free combo. Can I get a Triple cheeseburger with no bun? I don't even need the fries or drink." The lady taking my order was like "OKAY I NEED TO SEE THAT COUPON AT THE SECOND WINDOW. WHO SIGNED IT?!" Like girl, I don't know your guys names.... but I could see someone with the initials 'BK' had signed it. I tell her that, and she's like "WELL SHE DON'T WORK HERE ANYMORE!" I'm like "Okay... regardless, I have this coupon..." I guess when someone stops working at Wendy's, they cease to exist, y'all. It was news to me, too! I was going to explain the situation, but got cut off by "PLEASE PULL FORWARD." I get to the window, and the lady goes, "I'll honor it this time, but NOT for a triple. You can have a single." We exchanged a few kind words, but I don't think she was comprehending that this was an issue from a wrong order in the past. I really wish I had my receipt so I could say "You know what?! Give me the money you owe me from the mistake, then. Pay up, thanks" but I had already given the receipt the first time, which in turn got me this coupon. She then made a very obnoxious sigh and kept telling me that now she had to void the combo she had placed in and that corporate was not going to like that.
