First time eating here, really enjoyed the variety of the menu. Sandwiches were good & fresh. The corn dip & chips were tasty. Nice beer/wine/cider selection. Large outdoor area to sit at with lots of sun or shade options. Definitely coming back!

We stopped here for lunch on the drive back to the Bay Area as the sandwiches looked interesting on the menu. The set up is like a backyard picnic kind of vibe- some outdoor seating, corn hole, a semi open air bar/eating area, and a smaller dining room. I got the porchetta sandwich and my wife got the Turkey and Tot sando from the breakfast menu. We also split a bowl of fries. The portions were good- the sandwiches were big! My porchetta sandwich was tasty but very messy to eat with the amount of pesto and lemon caper sauce. In the end, a little too much caper flavor for me, that's one thing I would change. The turkey and tot sando was the better of the two sandwiches. It's like breakfast in a brioche bun! Delicious! Plenty of fries, we didn't even finish it. Would come back to try more of the sandwiches!

    * Visited on a Sunday around brunch with a group of 4 adults & 3 kiddos It was our first time visiting, and this spot is pretty kid friendly for those with kiddos! :) there's an outdoor area where there's a mini play house and toys for kiddos, as well as a corn hole set up. the restaurant itself is quite large, and has plenty of outdoor seating - there is indoor seating, but the majority is outside. The staff is pretty kind, and quick to get your order going as well as drinks. OKAY THE FOOD: * western cheese burger - pretty yummy! It was very filling, especially with tater tots. It's quite large, and honestly perfect for satisfying a good burger. * tater tots - SO CRISPY, I genuinely loved it though it was slightly greasy towards the end of the batch. * duck fat French fries - crispy, and perfect to share with a table. Despite the herbs mixed into the fries, it was a huge hit with the kiddos! * the patty melt - my partner had gotten this, and said it was pretty good too! I was able to have a bite, and might get this for myself next time we visit :)

Colony has a parking lot in the back of the restaurant, which may be easier to access considering there is construction on El Camino. - If you get there at opening time there typically is not a line but otherwise the line can be rather long. I suggest ordering on the website ahead of time and giving yourself 20 minutes for pick up. It was nice to stroll in and grab my to go order without having to wait in line. There are also many options to choose from when you order online such as type of bread and condiments. It's nice to have such a large selection while ordering. - I was able to fill my reusable yeti at the soda station and my all of my food was wrapped in paper and placed in a paper bag to-go. Thank you for being environmentally friendly and skipping the plastic!

The good: the overall quality of the sandwich. Available gluten free bread. The not so good: the size of the sandwich -- more like a half of a normal a sandwich size. The $3 up charge for the tiny gluten free roll that the sandwich was built on-- nothing good about punishing people with allergies. The terrible: spending $18 (includes tax, gratuity not included)on a tiny roast beef sandwich on a tiny gluten free bun with 2 slices of beef, a piece of cheese, a tomato slice, greens. The wait... wait... waiting for the order. Overall: While the food was fine, the service was slow and price is what I would call disconnected from reality. No chance I'll be coming back here.

Stopped at Colony for a to-go Due South BLT, which includes the B-L and T with their great house colony sauce and bourbon bacon tomato jam. Lots and lots of thick applewood bacon. Excellent combo. Kinda wish, though, that the sourdough bread it was served on was thicker and/or more substantial. Great design of the restaurant, play area and seated area. Wish I had more time to hang.

Rueben, sauerkraut was very fresh! would order again

Great food, worth the wait! Super fresh ingredients, friendly staff. The old gas station vibe is a fun alternative to the normal sandwich joint. Ice cold beer! Huge portions! I took half my sandwich home to have for dinner, but I ate all the fries on the spot!

My husband and I have been disappointed in the fries. Every time we go they are burnt to a crisp. Not enjoyable at all. Other than that we really enjoy eating here... but this is like the fourth time getting burnt fries.

The food is SO good here! And they just got a really cute makeover so the outside area is gorgeous and full of fun things for kids to play while you hang out. My daughters loved it. This was our second time eating here and everyone was happy with their food. The best part to me was the duck fat fries! So flavorful! Fairly quick service and friendly staff. Great spot to stop for a nice meal.

May have just had the best breakfast sandwich ever. The turkey and tot sando on the brunch menu is insanely good . Damn so good.

They're under construction expanding the front eating area but they are still open. Food is good and and service was fast. It's becoming our go to spot for quick bite and drinks. I like that they open early. It was a little loud since they are expanding but thankfully not too dusty.

Delicious sandwiches and fries. Great outdoor spot. And good fast service. Only beer and wine/cider/seltzers.

Sandwich was fine. Not great, but fine. I don't even remember which sandwich I got, but I recall that it was fine. Price point was moderate.

It's super family friendly, and our son loves the toddler play area. Our nieces also love the arcade games, so it's a great spot for kids and families. The beer is the best we've had in Atascadero, especially the west coast-style pale ales and IPAs like Atasca-where-o, Afraid of the Grade, Mouse Rock, and Hop Clarity. The staff has always been great, the indoor/outdoor space is awesome for groups, and having a full kitchen makes it even better. We even hosted a small lead-in gathering there the night before our son's 1st birthday party, and it was perfect. We're excited to keep coming back and becoming regulars.

This makes total sense knowing that the owners came from San Diego and both worked for PPBC. Being familiar with Wild Fields award-winning brews we settled for the flight and then added some food later. Being a West Coast IPA couple, we were not disappointed with their draft offerings. In addition to IPAs, they have a good representaion of other styles, so there will be something for everyone-as long as they like beer. Wild Fields also puts together a home-brew competion, fuly embracing their community and craft beer roots. The winner gets to brew a batch of their recipe on the house system and this ultra low alcohol, smoked wheat beer was one of the most unique beers I've had. For the food, we had pulled pork and loaded mac-n-cheese. Pulled pork was fine, but I'd prefer more smoke flavor and aroma. For loaded mac, the protein is polish sausage-not something I've seen before. While it somewhat works, I don't think I'd order this again. They also had a ticketed comedy show, which we stayed for after the official closing time on a Saturday. It was fun and totally worth it. With their strong local connections and family atmosphere, Wild Fields in Atascadero is worth the detour from SLO and Paso destinations, especially for families.
