The atmosphere inside is great and very welcoming. There were four of us, and everything we ordered was spot on. Our table had the Fried Chicken Deluxe, a 6-piece mild buffalo wings, a 1/3rd Cheeseburger Deluxe, and two of the Chilly Billy burgers (loaded with chili and slaw). Every single one of us loved our meals. We all got the regular fries, which were super good, but it's great to know they offer sweet potato fries too. We got food for a family of 5 with a kids meal, sodas, an app and come to under $90. That's pretty good for Asheville. Their ranch is nice and tangy. Staff are super friendly and its nice to have a dedicated take out booth. Their chicken is hot and large. The two thigh plate is a massive amount of food. Medium is definitely on the high end of my spice tolerance (which I feel is above average). Mild honey is probably the better choice (what my wife got). The sides are fire though. Skip the fries but sweet potato casserole and mac and cheese are amongst the best I've ever had. Biscuit is cloudlike - not the best I've had, but for a chicken joint, it's good. And even vegetarians can rejoice with fried "chicken." All in all, worthy stop in Asheville!

I had seen a lot of Zaxby's commercials watching college football when I lived in Calif. When I…read moregot to NC I finally got to try one, and was very impressed with their chicken fingers. The store was clean, not crowded at 3pm, typical fast food vibe. I ordered a standard 4 finger meal, which came with fries, slaw, Texas toast, sauce and a coke. Service was very quick, my order was ready before I finished pouring my coke. The Texas toast was soggy, not crispy. Maybe steam from the fries/chicken got to it in the to-go box? I had a 10 minute drive home. The slaw was not bad, if a bit skimpy. The fries were good, still hot, a bit too salty. The Zaxby's sauce was OK, nothing special, and the chicken doesn't really need sauce. Ah, the chicken. Magical. Far and away the best fast food chicken I've ever had, maybe the best fried chicken ever, period. Makes up for most of the minor disappointments. If was to order just the chicken and provide my own side, an easy 5. As a complete meal, four stars. Definitely one of the better fast food meals I've had in quite a while.

The portions were laughable, and to make things even better, half of my order was missing. So I drove to the store to get the rest of what I had already paid for, only to be told I'd be waiting another 20 minutes. For what, exactly? There was one customer inside, no one in the drive-thru, and somehow it still took that long. It's almost impressive how inefficient this place manages to be. Paying premium prices for incomplete orders and then having to waste even more of my time just to receive the food I already bought is unacceptable. This wasn't just disappointing--it was a complete joke. Congratulations on turning a simple fast food order into an hour-long headache. Needless to say, I won't be coming back to this location, and after this experience, I have no intention of giving Popeyes another chance. Absolutely disgraceful.
