I had never tried a Jersey Mike's before, but I hadn't eaten since the previous evening due to a fasting blood test, and it was across the street from my doctor's, so I made a beeline there after the blood draw. At 1:30 on a weekday there was a bit of a line, but it moved quickly, and the staff were friendly and quick. I ordered the classic Italian sub "Yankee" style - no lettuce, tomato or oil and vinegar, but with lots of onion, mayo and brown mustard. The sandwich was really good. The meat was pile high, the ham was especially tender, and the roll was soft and pleasantly chewy, and held together well given that it was overstuffed with meat. The shop was clean and pleasant, and in a good location. Next time I'm craving a good sub I'll definitely keep my eye out for another Jersey Mike's. read more

While visiting family (grandparents/great-grandparents) in NC we stopped at Jersey Mike's as grandma requested a sandwich. We are from SoCal aka Southern California (San Diego) so we opted for what we enjoy when it comes to corporate vs small mom-pop shop and arrived just in time before the lunch rush. Sandwiches are always a two thumbs up and the service was quick. The manager (assuming) was really hospitable and made our visit pleasant. I told my husband that the manager reminded me of Bob from Big Bob's Pizza in Oceanside, CA due his friendly and welcoming demeanor which for me is a plus. very little value for the money. for a $10 sandwich this looks like something my 5 month old nephew could finish easily. part of my sandwich was cut with a dried up looking end piece of roast beef so small it shot through the cutting machine. the meat and the sandwich in general was tasteless and the bread was extremely average no frills. Good sandwiches generally but always served with an attitude. The staff openly bad mouth the manager at great length. Not to customers but amongst each other while they prepare your order. The staff on the line bad mouth the staff prepping in the back and all this angst ends up being directed toward customer. Today's sandwiches had very flat rosemary parm bread so after sitting for 30 min the bottom bread was flat as a cracker and soaking wet. So now I'm stuck with 2 giant sandwiches no one wants to eat. I should have said something when one girl told another that if the bread flattens while cutting it means it was overproofed. Here's hoping they work out the issues they are having. We really appreciate the effort that this particular local Jersey Mikes made for our High School team of over 40. We did an online order for many subs just a few hours before we needed them. The store called and asked if in the future we would order 24 hours in advance, but they would fulfill the order for us. When we arrived to pick up the food, it was ready for us. Sheepishly, we let them know that we needed food again for the next day, less than 24 hours later. The manager said he would make it work and came into work an hour early to make sure that our order (and others) were fulfilled. With staff shortages everywhere, we so appreciated the efforts. I love Jersey Mike's. They are the best Subs anywhere. They use and slice fresh meats and cheeses. I normally get the Club Sub it is so good. I think the bacon really sets it off. I get Mike's Way no Onion add pickles. They normally get busy and the hot subs take for even. Tip: Download the app and order and pay ahead. Just walk to the register and pickup your sandwich. This location is pretty much like the rest. It get dirty sometimes at busy times but that is expected. I wish there was one downtown. They are so much better than Jimmy John's. Love it! read more

Tried to get a sandwich here. Walked in, there were two girls placing orders. Overheard the guy slicing meats offering condolences to one of the girls. Turns out, she had just broken up with her boyfriend of two years. He wouldn't commit fully to the relationship, and she needed reassurance and solidarity. On paper, he's like perfect for her, but sometimes she has doubts. Well I guess Mr. Sandwich Artist Romeo thinks he's about to score some rebound pussy, and he's all in. There's some really cliche "everything happens for a reason" advice being given, she's being told that she deserves better than him, and that she's gonna feel better soon because the sandwich he's gonna make for her is going to make her feel so good. I actually stood there and witnessed all of this and still had yet to even be acknowledged. At least 10-15 minutes of my life was wasted because some loser actually thought he was gonna get some from a customer. This was the point I walked out. Consistently good, I am a slave to the #13 (Mikes Way). Every time I'm in AVL and lunch time, I'm on Yelp looking for the closest one. Today's was no different. Fresh, seasoned well, great bread, the Covid restrictions actually made it a little easier to get. However, if you look in the parking lot, there are lots of people eating in their cars. Came in with my boyfriend tonight. When ordering the guy was so rude. I waited over 15 mins for a sub. I walked up to get my sub was told to sit down it was not ready. The night crew are rude and have no customer service skills . I am a manger in a restaurant and I understand the pressure of being busy but you don't get rude and treat your customers the way we were treated tonight. Just got back from buying a regular tuna sub at Jersey Mike's. Got it home and when I opened it to eat it the roll was so hard and stale it cut the roof of my mouth and I could not eat it. I called the store on River Hills Road in Asheville North Carolina spoke to Tyler The manager. Tyler told me that some days the rolls are hard and he also told me that he is training somebody new and that he noticed that the rolls were hard today. NO Excuse!!! My response to him was, you are the store managerIt is your responsibility to make sure that the product that goes out the door is acceptable and falls in line with the standards of Lenny's subs. I think I was more upset about his excuse then the fact that I couldn't eat the sub roll. Yea so the sub was ok. Great bread but too much of it need more meat for a giant. The guy cutting the meat today fantastic I think he was the manager taking orders line was long. The assistant manager was in the back running flat top bounced up to veg station to assist he was working hard. Why was their a line cause of the cashier with purple hair. She spoke with everyone about tattoos, about weather about what she was going to do later and so forth crazy gotta pick it up when ya got a rush. She gloves up for my order on sub and I told her what I wanted. She made a friggin mess she had mayo all over outside of roll and when she was done took her gloves off asked manager when it slowed down could she take a break and then said oh yea re gloves and cut the sub into fours I said can you use a napkin to wipe off outside. This is one of my favorite places to grab a sub in Asheville, the employees who work here are kind and helpful and in my opinion have the best Philly cheesesteaks around. I've always had good experiences at this location, however today they went out of there way to make sure I was taken care of after I accidentally ordered from a different location and showed up there. Instead of sending me to the other location they rushed and made me a new sandwich (the location it was ordered to would have been a 25 minute drive for me) and were very kind and understanding about the whole ordeal. This meant a lot to me as I don't make a lot of money and don't get to treat myself very often, I will definitely be visiting Jersey Mike's again soon! read more

They have a too good to be true coupon special going on right now, "buy a regular sub get a 2nd one free" okay sounds good right? You go in tell the sandwich maker what you want and what coupon you have, through all the talking and distractions you hand over the wrong coupon before going to the register. By the time you meet that same employee at the cash register you are out the door at $15.73 for a special that should have been $7.45. I was told I submitted the wrong coupon. What made me question what happened to me was a co-worker came in while I was there who was charged $12.00 for the same special I got . They seen to honor what the coupon said during the day however, there seems to be an issue in the evenings after 5:00pm. read more
