This Wendy's is truly the worst fast food in town, if you can even call it that. Nothing about is fast. I keep going back, because I like the spicy nuggets and they have excellent in-app deals, but I am consistently disappointed each and every time. Literally -- e v e r y time. I have been around 5 times in the past month or 2, and every single time they have failed to complete my order in a timely fashion. I mobile order before leaving my house, and when I arrive 5-10 minutes later, they act absolutely flabbergasted that I am expecting food. They very clearly do not begin my food until after I arrive AND specifically ask for it, and even then they take forever. One time, I came several minutes after mobile ordering (plenty of time for them to heat up food for 1 person), and was then asked to park, despite there being no one behind me in the drive through. I waited for THIRTY MINUTES for nuggets and fries. I've also ordered through the drive through and similarly had to wait, so don't assume that this is some issue with the app alone. It's obviously just the staff at this location. And if you were thinking of giving them benefit of the doubt, let me be clear-- this Wendy's has been absolutely empty every time I go. They are not busy, they are not behind, they are not "trying their best." No one apologizes for the wait, no one speaks to me at all other than to say "pull forward" and "park over there." I do not come to fast food restaurants to be wooed, I do not care for small talk or need them to be overly enthusiastic. And yet, I am still blown away by how egregiously apathetic the employees I interact with are. If I were hiring for a job near here, I would specifically reject anyone who had Wendy's on their resume, just to be safe in case any of these kids were job hunting. That is how bad it is. They also regularly serve me cold/congealed food, and one time waited until after I paid for a $4 strawberry lemonade to tell me that they 1) didn't have any and 2) couldn't refund me. This location is clearly only afloat due to the convenient location off the highway and the general brand-trust people put in Wendy's. But unless they get new management and completely clean house, they don't stand a chance in the long run. read more

Waited about 5 minutes before anyone even acknowledged I was there. Only 1 person in line and employees just standing around. I ordered a chicken sandwich and was told it would be a 7 minute wait. A great stop as it's located just off the Interstate for quick and easy lunch. I parked up because my Sprinter van won't fit through the drivethru. After ordering on the Wendy's app, I waited a couple of minutes and then went inside. The restaurant was clean with no trash on the floor and all the tables were clean. I did need to wait another couple more minutes but this gave me time to grab extra napkins. Back in the van and on the way, I started lunch. The fries were hot but underdone and over salted. The nuggets had cooled a little but were still warm and yes, spicy. The Junior Cheeseburger Deluxe was assembled properly with all the right ingredients and the cheese melted. Overall, just OK. I've had better Wendy's experiences lately. And I've had much, much worse. I'll continue to hit up Wendy's along the way with a low expectation. This was found inside of my burger. To preface, I sent my boyfriend here to get me a double stack with lettuce in replace of a bun, tomato, and bacon. He got home and there was no lettuce and no bacon so I sent him back. (I asked him before he left to check the food & he didn't) so when he went back he told the girl we didn't get any lettuce or bacon and when he pulled around they gave the sandwich to him, with no bacon on it again so he asked for bacon on it, the girl told him she was just going to put it in a container on the side (which was fine) so he gets back and I check the sandwich because he told me the girl was being rude to him and there is a hair in the sandwhich underneath the tomato (hidden) I'll never go back to this place and will be calling in the morning read more

Ordered 2 biggie bags with double stacks NO Cheese. Got food and both had cheese. Pulled back around and she told them to remake them and i heard someone snap they gonna have to wait. So we pulled up and we got food she said they put us an extra burger in. We checked no cheese so go home. When we went to eat we had singles not the double stacks we paid for. We waited almost five minutes to order, then we waited closer to ten minutes to get our food. They didn't have coffee, so we waited longer to get refund. Do not go there. read more

My husband and I were traveling last night and stopped on exit 111 in Archdale for dinner. Wendys was the first sign we saw at the stop light, thankfully! The associate that took our order was very friendly, kind and helpful. The food order was ready quick and it was fresh and piping hot! Delicious saucy nuggs!!! We looked around the restaurant and noticed how neat and clean it was! We complimented the manager, Valerie, on a job well done and complimented her team for such great customer service! Great service and super safe! I stopped here for an iced tea as it's just off the interstate. I felt like they are doing everything possible to keep us safe. Dining room is open, all employees wear a mask and are behind plexiglass. My frosty was wonderful and the tea was okay. Restrooms were clean and well stocked. The bread was toasted and warm while the produce on the burger was crisp and cold. Hot, juicy patties with cheese. I'm not usually hard to get along with nor am I a heavy complainer, but I must say that I've never experienced such rude behavior in my life. My fiancé ordered a double baconator meal and I ordered a 10 piece regular nugget meal. Simple right? We sit down to eat and I open my bag of food and thought to myself that my nuggets looked awful dark to be regular. So, I took a tiny bite off a corner of one of my nuggets and was hit with immediate heat. Okay, no problem... I understand that mistakes happen. I told my fiancé I'd be right back because there must have been a small mix up with our order. He nodded and continued eating while I went back up front. Nobody made eye contact with me, they just continued completing drive-thru orders like I wasn't even there. Finally I attempted to stop someone and she jerked around like I had insulted her. In a soft tone I explained to her that there must have been a slight misunderstanding with my order because I had ordered a regular 10 piece meal but received a spicy 10 piece meal. She just shrugged her shoulders and nonchalantly said, "yeah we are out of regular nuggets, we've been out for several days now." Well, this happened to be the same lady that took our order. So I replied, "we don't eat up this way very often and were not aware of the shortage; why didn't you just mention this to us when I ordered them so that maybe I could have ordered something else?" She pretty much ignored my response and walked off and left me standing there holding the food. Finally another person walked by and I explained the situation to her and she just said, "oh, so you want a double stack or something?" I told her that there would be a large price difference and that's not what I had paid for so I asked her if I could maybe get my money back and I'd settle for just eating my fries if they were still warm. That's when the manager finally came over and asked the employee if there was an issue. She told the manager that I wanted my money back. After a brief pause, the manager asked if there was any way I'd be willing to get something else in exchange because it would mess up her drawer for the night. It deeply saddens and frustrations me that the customer suffers at the convenience of the staff members and their errors. The manager was at least nice and offered me a Dave's Single and a vanilla frosty to help get the heat off my tongue. Completely frustrated by this time, I decided to just accept her offer so that I could start eating. By the time I had my exchanged food and sat back down to eat, my fries were cold of course. May I ask, Is it so hard to simply let the customer know you are out of something instead of knowingly replacing it with something he/she didn't order? Is there not a tiny red flag that signals in your mind that in doing so there is a potential unhappy customer? It is a waste of time going to this Wendy's until they clean house and re-hire. They never have anything available. Just this last time it was "no lettuce, only small cups available, no cheese, no straws." And they wait to tell you what they don't have until after you have already paid. It has been an issue for almost a year now. Dairio is right down the road in one direction and McDonald's in the other. I'd suggest going to one of those instead. read more

Stopped in for a quick bite. The lobby was clean. The lady who took her order was friendly and quick. Food was hot, fresh, and good. Got to hear a lively conversation the lady running the drive thru had with a coworker. She was explaining how she has calmed down, she use to cuss out coworkers and customers, she would tell them to shut their mother f****** mouth, she isn't going to put up with mother f****** s***. When the lady who took our orders said we have customers, the lady running the drive thru said "I know" and kept talking. But now she was harassing the lady at the front counter. Bathrooms disgusting, needed to tell management they needed paper towels and she said "We found some in the back " the back?! My son went through the drive thru here for our dinner. They kept his card causing him to have to GO BACK to get it. Then he gets home and 1/2 of our food is missing. Couldn't resist this review.. In the middle of fast food chain road with franchises as far as the eye can see I couldn't help grab some frosty's and fries. However little did I know that dinner time in this area meant go out for fast food. The lines were awful and the service was slow...almost like they didn't expect to be busy. Stopped by before trip back to Charlotte. Dining room was horrible. Food/ice cream over several of the tables. Chairs were broken and the carpet was nasty. Wife and I both visited restrooms to wash up before eating. Men's room smelled strongly of urine. Spouse related info on what appeared to be menstrual blood on toilet seat in ladies room. From the food standpoint, the fries were cold/old. The burger was okay and the chili was pretty good. Soda machine out of many soda flavors. It's obvious by the condition of the restaurant that the franchise owner doesn't put any money back into the business to make it presentable. Suggest new owner or closing it. read more

I went today December the 20th to this Wendy's in Archdale North Carolina. I went at 12:30 the girl was very rude saying what do you want I continue to give her my order she said we have no baked potatoes come back in an hour we might have some. Then she continues to tell me you better have the right correct change because we don't have any coins to get back to you and our receipt machine has been broken for 4 weeks. This is true because I go here every other day and they say the same thing their receipt book is broken. Why set in line for 35 minutes for her to tell me this I come back in an hour when she said the baked potatoes would be ready I had to sit back in line for 45 minutes. These people are very rude they're very unorganized between 12 and 2 people take their lunch. They have no food ready please shut this food place down management should shut it down for the last 3 months it is the worst place to eat the food's not worth the crap and you never have what I need and I'm on the limited time schedule I can't sit there 35 or 40 minutes waiting on my meal and then to find out you don't even care the baked potatoes or have the lettuce I bought an avocado salad the only salad you had on your menu that you had in store get home there's no avocados on it I don't understand how your stadium business this long for the last 3 months it's been terrible there you have unprofessional people and the food's not good. This is the worst Wendy's I have ever been to. The lines are long - at night they actually take ONE ORDER AT A TIME. On top of being slow they never get your order right.
