Wendy for It's Your Day did an outstanding job coordinating my wedding 1 month ago! She really took over EVERY detail so that I could relax and fully enjoy the day. I had planned almost every detail of the wedding and knew exactly how I envisioned my big day but the problem was I could not oversee the coordination of all the vendors/individuals in the execution of my plans. However, Wendy seemed to take over flawlessly and made sure everything happened EXACTLY as I had hoped. My fiance and I were beyond thankful for her because she really enabled us to enjoy every moment of our big day!! When tiny things went wrong (and of course something will go wrong!) - Wendy always had a creative solution and did her absolute best to take care of it as quickly and quietly as possible. I was especially thankful for Wendy because I my niece (the flowergirl) had an issue come up and was unable to make it to the wedding ceremony with her dad so we were unable to get a complete family photo right after the ceremony. Very near the end of the reception, my niece and her dad finally came and Wendy orchestrated getting EVERYONE together for several complete family photos! We were SOOOOOooo thankful!! I am still reviewing my top 20-something favorites and I can't believe that I haven't reviewed It's Your Day. Working with Wendy is like working with your best friend and your Mother at the same time; You always get the truth wrapped in attention and love. Literally the best combination you can ask for in an event coordinator. Last month I was at a Thanksgiving Dinner done by Wendy (and her assistants) that was phenomenal. The "flow" of the dinner and throughout the entire evening was exceptional. And, it was incredibly MEMORABLE! If you don't have time or energy for all the work that goes into an event, hire a true professional. I have made the mistake in the past of not working with a pro. "It's Your Day" is perfectly named. In an industry that overcharges, up-sells and under-delivers Wendy is truly invaluable in the preparation and execution of a wedding. I am a professional musician who has both attended and played at many weddings, and I must say that I was blown away by Wendy Harrop's orderly, focused manner throughout the various stages of planning and organizing a dear friend's "big day" this past weekend. Naturally, there were several unexpected circumstances that arose which were not technically under Wendy's jurisdiction, and yet she was able to intervene in these matters, helping those involved to work towards quick and effective solutions. Wendy helped my husband and I organize a beautiful wedding. The event would not be so successful without her expertise. She is very resourceful and has a network of excellent vendors. She helped to selected what suited our needs and provided valuable advice. She managed everything to a perfection (as much as it can be). The most significant thing was how she orchestra the day of my wedding. She managed the flow and timing fluidly. All the programs ran nicely. Everyone at my wedding had such a lovely time, including my husband and I. We did not need to worry about the logistics and coordination of things on our big day, and get to enjoy and take in every moments of joy. That's priceless!! Wendy is one of those people that makes you feel smarter for having found her. My groom and I prided ourselves on thinking that we had covered everything between the two of us in the months leading up to the big day. But we decided to connect with 'It's Your Day' for the home stretch so that we (and our family members) wouldn't have to worry about anything on the day of. To say we were thankful for Wendy is an understatement. She was one of the first people in my bridal suite in the morning (and a great energy & emergency kit to have around, at that!), and the last person we said goodnight to. To give one example of many, one thing we never could have planned for was wind. With half our wedding planned for outdoors, this could have been a disaster. Instead, it was something we never heard about until after the wedding (including Wendy running around the parking lot to chase down every one of our favors which blew in every direction). She commanded our vendor team for the flawless orchestration of moving 1/2 our dining tables and dance floor indoors, with most of our guests (200+) having no idea of the change, and so smoothly that everyone thought it was always the plan. All of our wedding party and vendors complimented Wendy beyond just "great," to "one of the most professional, and lovely coordinators" they had ever encountered. From help with planning, to last minute decoration details, to finding us a mid-wedding snack ... we knew at every turn that Wendy had our best interest at her full attention. Wendy is fantastic. We found Wendy during our initial search for help with our wedding this past September, and we didn't need to look any further. We had a great feeling about her from the get-go...and we were absolutely right. Wendy is not only ridiculously sweet and caring, but she is so attentive to details (small, large and unforeseen by us) and really puts so much effort into making people happy. I think it's rare today to be so pleased with the help and support you receive from others, but that's what Wendy delivers. Wendy was exactly what I wanted and needed in a wedding coordinator - part expert opinion giver and part therapist. It is challenging for me to provide just a few examples of what makes her such a delight to work with, because everything about her makes her a perfect fit for this job. She helped me work through what our priorities were for the wedding - food, fun and a great photographer - and translate those to the choices we made and the schedule. She was able to work with my budget and helped me to find vendors that matched what I was looking for. She connected with my family and friends and was able to take care of some delicate situations because she had formed relationships with them. She's got a great sense of humor. My favorite part about Wendy is that she is always a professional and always has a smile on her face. I'd been a bridesmaid in several weddings before my own and the one coordinated by Wendy was by far the best organized, smoothest running and stress free event of them all. So naturally, when I was looking for a coordinator for my own wedding, I knew who to call! Wendy is simply gifted at what she does. Everything positive you read in the other reviews we can ditto. Wendy ran our daughter's wedding and went well beyond the call of duty. One of our vendors was a total non-performer. Wendy spent hours on-site either waiting for them to not show up, or battling with them on the phone. She was a joy to work with, and maintained a positive attitude in the face of disappointing circumstances. Wendy was the best $ we spent for our August wedding. After months of planning a wedding on my own and hating every second, I sought out a day of coordinator and chose Wendy. I was trying to keep expenses low and though she doesn't charge as much as other event planners, I grappled with whether to spend the $$$. Bottom line: She was the best decision made and worth it. In the end with how much you receive in services (including handmade cookies, peaches, and a vintage hankie), you realize that she should be charging much more! She went above and beyond from the first phone call in which she spent 45 minutes going over the details BEFORE we even hired her. The day-of package was really "month of" and she helped sort out all those details that I didn't think of or hadn't pulled together. Our wedding wasn't "traditional" by any means and we used a ceremony and reception site that hadn't ever held a wedding so Wendy's experience was invaluable in making sure everything went smoothly. And, it did. She was calm, supportive, reassuring, firm when necessary, and detail-oriented. Anything that got off-track (as there was plenty) she easily smoothed over without me even knowing until the wedding was over! Multiple people actually commented to me about how great she was. Wendy enabled us to sit back and enjoy the day, focus on each other and our friends/family. While I personally don't know anyone getting married, I cannot recommend her enough. My only regret was not choosing to hire her when I started planning the wedding! read more

Wendy...is AMAZING! When I was searching for a day-of coordinator, Wendy was willing to drive all the way out to my parents' house on a week I was home from LA just to meet me. Our initial meeting ended up turning into a three-hour talk where she had me walk through all my ideas for the day and left us not only with fresh eggs from her own chicken coop but a full timeline for the wedding--before we'd even hired her! Of course we did, and she was phenomenal. She went way above and beyond--answering all our crazy first-timer questions and even meeting with my mom when I wasn't there to calm her worries about the venue. When I started to panic about a month out, she made herself available even though she was on vacation with her family, and when we did officially pass off all coordination to her, she again went above and beyond. Every single detail for the rehearsal dinner and wedding were executed perfectly, from our silly dinosaur cake with superhero toppers, to a surprise bagpipe player organized by my mother in law, to my original song getting played by the band as the last song. She coordinated with all the vendors, kept all the events moving seamlessly, organized a beautiful sparkler exit, and even provided library card boxes for our library card table cards. When my uncle got stung by a bee, she found Benadryl. When a bench broke right before the ceremony was about to start, she found chairs. When my brother forgot his tie, she figured out how to get him one. She was so sweet to both us and our families, bringing dahlias from her garden because they were my Maid of Honor's favorite flower, gifting antique handkerchiefs to me and my mom before the ceremony, and even surprising my mother-in-law by showing up to a vendor meeting so she wouldn't have to do it alone. What I think was the best moment, though, and why Wendy is so good at what she does, is that when I got out of the car in my wedding dress for photos and she saw me for the first time, she started to cry and said, "It never gets old!" She truly loves weddings and loves making a bride's, couple's, a family's vision come to life on their special day. And ours certainly was! Thank you so much, Wendy! read more

I can't even begin to explain how amazing Wendy was for my wedding in Belmont, MA. We went with the day-of-coordination package, but it was so much more than day-of. Wendy was SO flexible and met with me wherever was easiest for me way before the wedding to get caught up with all of my plans thus far. She immediately took over any task I i not have time for. She finished setting all plans up and made any difficult or annoying planning calls and always made tough plans come through in the end. On top of being unbelievably organized and prepared she kept me so excited for the big day and had a way of putting me at ease at any time. The day before, at the rehearsal, she came all the way into the city during rush hour, was there early, and ensured the entire rehearsal went smoothly. Day of the wedding she was INCREDIBLE. Anything that popped up she smoothed away quickly and quietly. She was a quick thinker and solve any issue unbelievably quickly.
